He could just stop time, grab the jacket and be out (either that or look at the guy). Either way, there's no reason he needs to cover Koichi when he could just stop time at the explosion and yank them both out of there.
He's got two-four seconds and is up against an opponent with unknown abilities who had previously beaten a stand user Josuke had described as 'invincible'. It's not that hard to believe he'd want to be a little cautious considering the last fight he was in would have killed him immediately had Josuke not been there.

Yeah I can understand that, the question I have is why didn't he use Star Platinum's super vision to look at the nametag. Really once you see what Killer Queen/Sheer Heart Attack can truly do he made the right call

I feel like he already did when when saw the characters for Kira, but by then the tank came out and all hell broke loose.

Death Parade 07-08

In episode 7, the show explicitly goes on to speak about the need to empathize with humans to help judge them efficiently. It's out a sense responsibility for their job(specifically, Nona's job) than something that has a materialistic return to them. That however is against the law of their world so they must experiment the theory in secrecy.

This is great and whole new aspect of the show but it really isn't going all the way with this yet. I hope it would go on to even question the black and white assessment of a human being over a specific set of memories that mostly relate to their death.

The black and white assessment implies that a person can be "bad" right from the birth out of no influence which isn't the case realistically since most people's personalities are mostly shaped by external influence and to a small extent hereditary (this is something I pointed out when I watched the second episode). Essentially everyone can get a chance at rebirth going by how the show depicts the test's assessment.

Their methodologies for the judgment is a different matter which is something that the show itself acknowledges as flawed but are they really striving to reach the conclusion that there's a gray area here? the second episode has me think otherwise. Nona says a participant deserved to go to the void since he was habitually suspicious of everyone since his youth but never investigates why he was like that despite having (I presume) full access to his memories. Now if they were to mention that if no one strives to improve themselves they are deserving of the void that would be excusable. One may consider that bit of information unnecessary but I would beg to differ and if it is something that can be picked up out of the viewer's volition, there's nothing hinting towards that. Death Parade still has time to make up for such narrative issues but going by what I've seen so far, I wonder if it will.

I might come off as picky but honestly, the show pushed me to do this.

Episode 8 had another compelling set of new characters who participated in the game - it was intense and intriguing from start to finish. I would perhaps have liked the initial episodes better if it had such compelling drama or intensity despite how the setting is.

Best Kirito this week, the way he looks at Asuna, lol.

You know what i hate about LNs adaptation? You can tell exactly when a book ended and another is beginning. SAO is the easiest to see this in .
Awful.

Log Horizon author.
I wonder how hes doing now. Theres no hope for S3 is there?

Well time to wait for SAOS3. Where could it possibly go now?

Apparently the author and animation director because why do they need to be there. Reminds me of S2 chaps shots.
The author got charged on tax evasion right or was that Log Horizon.

lol, that was definitely the LH writer and I don't believe there will ever be a 3rd season animated for the series after all that mess. Not that it even matters since he hasn't even finished writing the books for a 3rd season yet, so we're waaaay ahead of ourselves there, lol.

SAO S3 will definitely come at some point after the movie and will be a completely different experience from S1 and S2 from everything I've heard.

Not really spoilers, but the below characters are really the only ones that appear in future seasons for the most part (again, from "online" sources)minor setting speculation as well.
Asuna, Kirito, Sinon It's also based almost totally in the real world, not virtual world, which has me very interested as well

maybe cameo's for everyone else....

Must go deeper~

Honestly your spoilered crew are the only core characters in the show so I clicked to see if they were planning on throwing any curve balls and nope. It's not like any of the other side characters stood out really from S1 or (especially) S2 so here's hoping whatever new characters show up get better treatment this time around.

I bag on the latter part of S1 and most of S2 but I'm not going to lie I'll be there from day one for S3 anyway!

Nothing can get in the way of his Munakataboner (He liked Chisa tho'!)

Someone speculated they were all transported in a different building, but it looks like the ending debunks that. I'm not sure how the culprit managed to take control and modify the whole building.

Given Sweet-tits Code, I'm starting to think the mastermind could be outside or something, and the culprit is just unaware as the other. Like, one of the dudes Code is something like "Kill someone every hour".

What the fuck is even happening. I expected this to be a little competent but its getting k-on levels. I must watch more.
K-ON! or rather K-ON!! is one of the most competent anime series made in the last 10 years. U wot.

Also i'll do a little photoshoot of all the contents (mini-artbook has designs for kumo-kumo and kana-kana in casual clothes) and some uncompressed screencaps so people can see the quality.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann episode 1-2

All the recent talk (praise) about this show made me gave this show another chance . Never actually watched more than 10 min of episode 1 of it before, since i thought it looked stupid and to goofy, especially the design of the robots(they are just basically big heads lol). I was mostly only used to gundam and evangelion like type of mecha designs back then. But now it doesn't really bother me , and i'm also already used to more goofy tones in shows, like KLK.

So after finishing the second episode, and experiencing the first real battle, i can already see that i'm gonna like this show. The show has surprisingly hype battle music, just can't help and get excited alongside. I think i like the pacing so far better than in KLK, which took me more episodes to really get into. Glad i gave it a chance, since now i have finally something new to watch after finishing HxH ,during the slower days of this season. Hope the fights get even more crazier in the future episodes.

It's been too long since there have been fresh impressions of TTGL in here. Enjoy the ride.

Smile Precure - 42

So Wolfrun in episode 40 destroyed Akane's friendship charm, Redoni threatened Yayoi's manga in episode 41, and in this episode we have Majolina TRYING TO MURDER NAO'S SIBLINGS IN COLD BLOOD.

Better despair than Re:Zero.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann episode 3

Uh didn't expect that the robots actually combine, which is actually great, since now it actually looks much much much better , and not like goofy walking heads, that remind me of some stupid toys from the 90's.
Looks like the first 3 episode were the introduction and the real journey starts now. Should be fun.

GL took some time for me. I did not enjoy the first 3 or 4 episodes (IIRC I found it rushed, also I was watching the dub and the constant "Bros" were obnoxious), but it grew on me and is now one of my favourites.

Mob Psycho 100 6-8

I don't think I really need to go into any detail about how wonderful the animation in this show is; every episode (I mean EVERY episode, even the ones that aren't big on fight sequences) looks and moves fantastically in every sense of the word.

I appreciate the show moving away from the broad strokes characterisation of Reigen and Mob (Reigen is now portrayed as being remarkably competent despite being a charlatan, and Mob less of an idiot savant and more emotional). I'm not sure I find this evolution entirely convincing in such a short space of time, but they're better characters for it so I'm not exactly complaining.

We're moving into shounen/seinen action arc storytelling here with the introduction of major antagonists, and parts of the storytelling do move into cliche as a result; while the fight scenes are spectacular, we're already on to shouting out attack names that get subtitled on screen, and for all the possibilities that psychic powers should theoretically open up there's still a lot of punching things really hard going on. It's not a "terrible" thing by any means, but I hope we see further creativity on the part of the story, and not just the hard-working animators.
