The show just premiered

Figured some other folks may be checking out the pilot

I watched an interview with the actor playing Riggs who said Gibson's Riggs was doing coke all the time and that's why the show obviously couldn't be as hard as the films.

It was obvious dude hasn't even watched the films.

Im in just because Damon Wayans, not that bad so far, they should try to also make episode to be loosely based on the movies plot

He's actually in a pretty solid drama series too with rectify. But still...what a lame.

I'm more annoyed that the new soundtrack in the commercials has zero saxophone.

WHAT THE FUCK!?!? I need that sax!

Supersonic, idiotic, disconnecting, not respecting, who would really ever wanna go and top that
Yep, this is Lethal Weapon with a bunch of network sticky notes all over it. The pilot had a habit of over explaining everything. It could have started with the bank scene or maybe even a little of Riggs spinning his gun and filled in the gaps as it went along.

I think the dinner scene was the only one I liked. The rest was just meh. I've seen much much much worse cop shows but there wasn't anything here that makes me want to come back next week.

Wasn't Riggs pretty messed up in the first flick?

I liked the pilot. Much better than I expected after thhe promo. I think the current setting and the fact that neither actor looks anything like Gibson/Glover actually works in it's favor, as it puts enough distance to stop expecting bassicaly a sequel in tv form.

The two leads have very nice chemistry, the actor playing Riggs is actually pretty damn good and I liked the "seeing lights" scene near the end.

Overall...a solid procedural that's slightly elevated by it's characters. I will probably keep watching for few more eps at least.

eh, I wasn't really feeling the pilot as a whole, but the characters and their interactions with one another aren't bad. I might check out a few more eps, emphasis on might.

I thought it was good. Even got a few good laughs out of me. I went in blind, not even knowing Damon Wayans was in this, and now I'm definitely in for a few more episodes at the very least.

The cast is great, the two leads have great chemistry, the action is pretty good. Everything else is pretty mediocre. Roughly 10000000x more enjoyable than the new MacGyver though

I liked the premiere too, thought it'd be train wreck terrible.

Haven't seen macguyver though. Maybe later

I give it one season

It's better than Hawaii Five O (which I like) and that has lasted 6 seasons behind good scenery and a decent cast.

This show is surprisingly OK. A much better duo than the dudes on O, and much better written.

So, was it awful?

I'd watch if it wasn't a retelling of the first movie

I liked old Mel Gibson ...and his Riggs was good...but I never got the emotional feels in any of the films.

I like this.

Oh...and I've NEVER been a Danny Glover fan.

These first two episodes have been really good. The two leads have crazy good chemistry (something this kinda show absolutely hinges on) and Riggs does bring the feels.

Hey Riggs is the asshole step brother guy from rectify. Haha

The pilot was ok. Was Riggs suicidal like this in the movies? I only really remember the jet Li one.

Why does he wear the mask!?

Yes, in the first 10 minutes he tries to blow his own brains out and tries to have a drug dealer shoot him in the head.

Very good performance from Gibson

Shit. That was actually pretty good.

I'm sure FOX will cancel it, though I'll watch the first season.

I wrote this off before the pilot, but man the first 2 episodes were way better than i thought they would be.

Hoping it continues the trend, but seems like the budget would have to be super high which usually spells not getting renewed.

Guarantee I'm going to screw up this post? Yeah.
I'm liking it quite a bit, but I can't see it being renewed either.

I was all ready to proclaim this trash and not watch it, even after seeing the preview trailer earlier this year.

However, I decided to give the first episode a shot and I will say I really enjoyed it. I've watched all three episodes now and have it set up as a series recording on my DVR.

I'm also glad it's not one of those "I enjoy this show, but the ratings suck so it probably won't last" shows. I hate being a fan of bubble shows.
