That was a solid enough pilot
Wonder if they'll get a Joe Pesci-esque character
I watched an interview with the actor playing Riggs who said Gibson's Riggs was doing coke all the time and that's why the show obviously couldn't be as hard as the films.
It was obvious dude hasn't even watched the films.

Wasn't Riggs pretty messed up in the first flick?
wasn't due to coke though, it was because his wife died

For sure, but he was hammering the booze and everything. Maybe he was coked up in the script or something?
I give it one season
So, was it awful?
I'd watch if it wasn't a retelling of the first movie
Flied Lice?
It's fried rice, you plick.
Still gets me.
Hey Riggs is the asshole step brother guy from rectify. Haha
The pilot was ok. Was Riggs suicidal like this in the movies? I only really remember the jet Li one.
Shit. That was actually pretty good.
I'm sure FOX will cancel it, though I'll watch the first season.
Just saw the pilot, it was surprisingly good.
I was all ready to proclaim this trash and not watch it, even after seeing the preview trailer earlier this year.
However, I decided to give the first episode a shot and I will say I really enjoyed it. I've watched all three episodes now and have it set up as a series recording on my DVR.
I'm also glad it's not one of those "I enjoy this show, but the ratings suck so it probably won't last" shows. I hate being a fan of bubble shows.
Fox has picked up five additional episodes of new drama Lethal Weapon. The move, which the network calls a full-season order, brings the series freshman season to 18 episodes.
Its actually a great TV show happy there will be more. Shame it probably wont make a second season.
18 Episodes is a lot of episodes to try and keep an audience with the type of stigma the show has attached to it, all it will take is one bad ep. We'll know in a couple of weeks. Why not? it's doing well and FOX seem willing
