Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered |OT| Return of the King

Should probably add to the OP that for the physical version, you need to pay off in full your pre-order of Infinite Warfare to get access to the campaign 30 days early. I believe the deadline is today and you then have to pick up a code in store tomorrow.

It doesn't say anything about that on Best Buy's page, and that still doesn't prevent us from returning the game for a full refund once it comes out. This is basically a free rental for people who don't care about playing the MP.

If there was ever a level that came down to muscle memory / trial and error, it was Mile high club.

Still remember where all enemies spawn, when to throw flashes, and what not.
Kill the straggler, jump and strafe into the conference room, flashbang, take out the stunned guys, check behind the seats, finish them off, check your corners, knife, knife, GET DOWN, WE GOT A HULL BREACH, flash, take 'em out, up the stairs, cover at the wall, flash, pop out, switch to secondary, pick up P90, spray the hall, advance, drop shot, slow motion, take out the knees, hostage dropping, hit the headshot, "We're going for a lil' freefall! See ya next time, mate."
Over and over again until I got it right.

I preordered directly from PSN and there's no download showing, so I don't think there's a preload at all, guys.

I still think the difficulty of Mile High Club is overrated somewhat.

I did it in one session as I listened to a 1UP Yours podcast, so it must have took me less than 2.5 hours.

Hard, but once you have the muscle memory there, it's not nearly as impossible as a lot of people make out.

Come on guys, all of MW on veteran was pretty routine. Nothing overly hard.

Just look at World at War on the other hand, I understand why people complain about that because some levels are a bit ridiculous.

That is still over 120+ attempts as each attempt is less than 1 min. Impossible no, slightly lucky based hell yes, difficult yes. To that signifies difficulty whether than is because of terrible lucky based actions or pure skill based difficulty or something in between is up to you.

An hour sounds about right for me to get everything down pat on Mile High. Only because every time I memorized one section I'd get killed 8 feet further into the plane. So repeat. For 60 minutes lol.

Got my code from Tesco, PSN doesn't like it when I try to redeem it and it's also 13 characters, do I need to enter this on another site first which then gives me the code for PSN? Cheers

Congrats to you lucky EU bastards

So that means we shouldn't provide that information for those that purchased from Gamestop of elsewhere? I really don't get the push back against having a much info a possible, especially when it's do huge for some and the deadline is today.

Just incase anyone else here has the same issue, apparently according to reddit tesco have been sending out the IW beta codes rather than MWR game codes.

Edit:
New codes have been sent out.

I do think it's more luck based than anything. Spray as much as you can, push forward as much as you can, hope your allies takes most people out before they pick you off.

I feel like playing early CoD campaigns on veteran (especially 4 and WaW) isn't that much about you getting better at the game until you can overcome a tough section as it is about banging your head against a wall again and again until it collapses. For me it was like a weird zen exercise.

So I have to pre-order Call of Duty Infinite Legacy edition right? (I want both games)

Any idea if the enemy spawning is the same in this remaster? Until MW2, enemies would endlessly spawn unless you pushed forward. Like if you just stayed behind cover and shot at enemies, they would keep coming. I hope they modified the spawn system, because that makes veteran a pain.

Wow, I had no idea about the early access. That's kind of cool.

I'm looking forward to this, but am not buying that version. I can wait, though.

This time around, my KDR won't be as bad (people will still be a lot better than me because they play more and are just better), because I won't try to knife everyone.

ok, I read the OP but some people are saying on the other thread that activision will release the MW remastered for sure next year, stand alone. Is that just speculation or have they confirmed that?

All part of the first 10? yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

The Marine v OpFor Maps always were better

How are the physical versions getting the early access? taking early payment and then codes?

Wondering this too. What if people just cancel their pre-order and get refund after getting the code? You certainly don't need the disk right now to play single player.

Not confirmed, the speculation is from when they've released content in the passed that was originally only available with certain editions. It's Activision, they'll release it. They'll bleed those who want it day one so pay for IW legacy edition, then when the sales of that edition dry up they'll release it stand alone. I'd chew my hat is they didn't release it standalone.

I can live with most of the 6 additional maps not being there on Day One, but Bloc, man... Bloc's awesome.

I'm really surprised Strike and Pipeline were left off, since they were popular enough to appear in later games as well. Bloc and Wet Work probably should've been there too.

Bloc is garbage, you can take that map and the snipers that infest the shitty map with you to HELL.
I really don't like it
So I couldn't be happier that a least for a month or two it won't be included.

You’ll suit up as unforgettable characters Sgt. John "Soap" MacTavish, Capt. John Price and more

Yeah, sure, cause he was so present in the story with his deep dialogue about finding his inner self on the battlefield and the conflicts of his mind that fighting evoked.

At least Ghost in the following games had some dialogue even though then he was a complete mystery on why people liked him which I attribute entirely to his skull balaclava since it can't have been his "Grrrr guns grrrr duty on the battlefield grrrr For the Queen". John Price is at least a good character, he is around, has a distinctive look and is important. Not sure what his personality was apart from SAS Psycho but at least the moustache left an impact.
