Hype level check for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

I have no interest in CoD until it loses the wall running, jump jet boosting schtick, and it probably won't for quite some time. The fact that some YTers seem down on it makes me feel better about skipping it.

Still hoping CoD4 gets sold separately eventually, but if not I'll just continue to sustain myself on Overwatch and BF.

This is the first time in a while since I've had zero interest in a COD.

With BF1 and Titanfall 2 available, there's really no point in getting it.

I might pick it up when the version with COD4 goes on sale.

I was pleasantly surprised by the beta. I like the wacky new weapon tiers (headshots reload your mags, kills make nearby players invisible on radar briefly etc). While these will never be balanced, I like moving in a less serious (non-esports) direction.

The maps were fine. Specialists were cool. Its like a massive expansion for blops3 in my eyes. It was also really fun to be decent at quickscoping for a change.

It will scratch my shooter itch for the next year nicely. Coming with MWR is icing on the cake.

In for the campaign, which will make it the first COD campaign I've played since I got halfway through Modern Warfare 3.

Multiplayer - 2/10
Campaign - 5/10

Campaign will probably be good, but the last two Infinity Ward campaigns have been on the weaker side. I was a lot more excited Black Ops 3's multiplayer. A lot more exited for Advanced Warfare' campaign.

IW's beta was an outright disaster. Black Ops 3 multiplayer was solid. I hated AW's multiplayer from the first day it was shown. IW's multiplayer feels even worse.

I'd like to see what type of interesting story they developed with Jon Snow and Connor McGregor as villains. I've never really liked CoD multiplayer though.

I am gonna wait to hear how the campaign is, but if it sounds good, then I will buy it for $10 or so after the price drops like a brick.

The multiplayer beta was the worst experience I have ever had with a CoD game.

Hyped for campaign and MP. Maybe Zombies will be a nice surprise, cause the only Zombies that I liked recently was Exo Zombies, but I don't see myself playing that much.

Looking forward to MWR campaign, MP not so much.

Campaign looks incredible. Personally I loved the multiplayer beta. I'm not much of a COD guy, but it really did something for me. The beautiful maps coupled with satisfying gameplay was really great. Of course, I would have preferred no jetpacks, but it seemed like most people were on the ground for the most part regardless.

I won't be able to pick it up at launch but I'm definitely interested in the campaign. I'm terrible in the multiplayer (something about COD specifically, I can't compete) and wasn't a big fan of the beta, so I'll be buying for the campaign if the impressions are good enough. Plus there's Modern Warfare Remastered, so that is enticing to the package.

In short, hyped for the campaign, not at all hyped for multiplayer (mostly based on skill level, haha).

Haven't touched the beta because the PS4 fridge is pretty damn full and I don't need to clutter it up.

Pretty interested in the campaign because it looks like Star Citizen Lite. Probably will barely touch the multiplayer.

Not getting the Modern Warfare HD thing.

This poster pulses with an appeal so broad the typical restraints of our societies fall by the wayside.
Do we know if the campaign will have supersampling or not? Cause I can't deny I would almost want to wait as well if that is the case.
I don't know what the Pro benefits are but the word directly from Activision is that both IW and MWR will have support it from day one. I think I remember hearing something like the game will render in native 4K when standing still (for screenshots).

The campaigns in these are just so fucking dumb and have been for a while that I just can't be assed to care. Where it's COD and popular it seems like they feel the need to try and write compelling stories that clash with stale and uninteresting characters in order to stay relevant and it just comes across as forced. Black Ops 2 had some incredibly cringey cutscenes like when those two dudes are boxing or something in a garage and they start arguing about family drama and cheating or something. Had to stop right there.

The multiplayer can be fun and it was in BO3, but I think I'm just over it especially with much better competition IMO.

edit: just saw BO2's story is by David Goyer, ohhhh

I'm not really hyped. I'm not mad though. I'm getting the game for free with my Modern Warfare Remastered purchase. So it's all good.

Oh yeah. I know there is a Digital Foundry article about it. Wonder if we get news about supersampling soon. Would be nice! Don't have a 4k TV yet.

Having withdrawals already heh. I haven't played CoD since the one that came out for the Wii-U. Took me awhile to get use to the quick TTK again but after awhile I was getting back into the swing of things some matches and it was fun. Wish I had some friends to play with instead of solo all the time.

When I pre-ordered it I figured I'd just be playing MWR for the most part, but we'll see, this was pretty fun actually. Could do without all the jumping but oh well.

There were two CoDs on the Wii U =P

Beta made me actually cancel the pre-order. Would have bought and been okay spending the money for MW remastered, but now I will wait until it's standalone.

The campaigns are the best part of these games lately, so I'm looking forward to that part and MWR's multiplayer

Oh ya, been awhile heh. I still miss playing CoD with the wiimote. That was so fun and natural feeling.

I think this'll be my first time owning the 'same' game 3 times. Had MW on PC first, then got MWR on the Wii, now getting MWR on PS4.

BO2 is probably one of my favorite COD campaigns and I have to agree that scene was pretty out there.

I went from being disappointed, to tolerating it, to having fun.

I'm not hyped about it but I'm definitely looking forward to it now. Took some getting used to.

Game time will definitely be split with Titanfall 2, though.

Hated the MP, have not finished a campaign since Black Ops 2 (that one was a chore), and this will be the first year since CoD4 that I'm going to skip a CoD release.

Feels bad man

My hype is checked.... It seems like a average CoD.

With Overwatch, gears, bf1 and tf2, CoD doesn't even come into mind for me this year.

Looking forward to the campaign but judging from the mp beta, fastest I've ever been turned off by a COD. I'll give the full game a fair shake like I do with all of them, but I was severely letdown. Thankfully MWR is releasing with it.

People aren't really hyped for new CoD games. For those who like it, it's another trip to the same delicious restaurant where you expect to get the same main course but try a different soup of the day and desert.

So what tends to happen is that their threads are stacked full of impressions, but regardless of impressions, the outlook remains similar.

That's what I think anyway.

BO2 is probably one of my favorite COD campaigns and I have to agree that scene was pretty out there.

I actually just rewatched it, nothing about cheating or anything just lame lines like "he's mad at you for killing his sister!" or something... while the gameplay in the campaign may be fine, that stuff is just a huge turn-off for me.

I played the beta for 50 minutes and immediately uninstalled. This game was a miserable experience and I will gladly skip the multiplayer.

If the single player is good I might pick it up when it drops down to $30 at some point, but right now its a big skip for me.

I'm more hyped for this than I was Black Ops 3 but Treyarch makes my last favorite CODs outside of BO1 so that's not saying much.

Pre ordered and paid in full for the 50% trade bonus.

Got modern warfare remastered early.

Played infinite warfare multiplayer demo. Deleted after two matches.

Cancelled pre order and paid for battlefield 1 instead.

Platinumed modern warfare remastered.

This was the best year for call of duty in some time.

No hype from me at all after that beta. There's just nothing left with CoD that excites me anymore.

Not paying $80 for essentially just the CoD4 remaster and a game I wouldn't play either

My brother pre-ordered IW for me as a christmas present (he does that when my COD interest is low).

I told him not to do it for IW. He completely agreed after playing the beta himself. I'd rather spend the few dollars on a redbox rental to play the campaign.

I don't know if I'm buying any of the big 3 fps titles this year. I'm content playing what I have.

I'm hyped for the campaign, but only in a "this will be a fun 8-10 hours between MWR and IW" way. If I wasn't fortunate to have as much expendable income as I do then I'd probably pick up TF2 and BF1 over IW at launch prices.
