This FLOKO stuff could be a real pain in the ass if that's how they intend to make more money from Capcom Cup.

Who ever subscribes to this guys YouTube channel is beyond me:) he attacks all the other youtubers daily with his jealous garbage 😅 why?

The Beast and Xuses are both youtube channels that rip feeds off of twitch channels. (To be fair, the Beast also does compilations as well.)

Probably relevant to some of you here: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=221637983&postcount=18840

I’m Shola. I’m the Street Fighter Producer at Yahoo Esports. I’m the guy that you’ve seen with Michael Martin at all of the events this past year if you’ve been going to the tournaments.

...

I’m reaching out because i’d genuinely like to know the type of content that the community would like to see. Yahoo Esports, as well as several of our fantastic competitors like FloKo, Daily Dot (R.I.P.),Bleacher Report, and ESPN, are working incredibly hard to make interesting content of the type you might find in traditional sports outlets.

This is old news from yesterday, but I didn't see it in this thread.

Momochi is no longer part of Topanga. He left so he could focus on Shinobism. Topanga haven't said who is going to be the new 3rd member because I don't think they have found a replacement yet. So you might see guests on the show for a couple of weeks until they settle on a new member.

The guest next week is Gamerbee.

I'd like to see maybe MOV or GO1 or something

That's why they gotta release a "complete season 1 edition" to get some sales.

Yup. I said this in the other thread, but they really need to get a new "version" of the game out there that has everything to date included just for branding purposes. I'm sure there's some number of people that you lose forever with a botched launch (ex. I know people who never bought Diablo 3 RoS even though it was pretty universally considered excellent because they bought vanilla D3 which was a shitshow and got burned), but getting something like a "Street Fighter V Complete Season One" disc out there highlighting story and DLC included etc would probably do pretty well. Word of mouth from people who actually play the game is mostly pretty positive, but they're not hitting any sort of mass market outside of that. Also stuff like the rootkit garbage on the PC version really hurts them.

I'm sure Evo probably did move some sales, but the initial shipment run was probably still sitting in warehouses.

I'm leaning more on the side of the scaling eventually wrapped around on itself until it started granting health.

Yup. Hokuto no Ken has the same problem, the variable containing the bounce strength goes to negative so people bounce harder than before.

I dunno what that is, but if its another navel gazing "analysis" show then yes. Last thing fighting games need is to emulate the boring ESPN model of having shitty personalities reiterate the same talking points ad infinitum.
I thought floko is that stream straight from consoles service that SCR was using so that you could watch all pool matches.

Oh seems its related to the FloSlam wrestling streaming service. Basically charging too much for streaming content that not a lot of people want to see. Fuck that too.

Dunno what the FloKO price is, but FloSlam is $150 a year or $20 a month depending on how you pay.

I have not seen one FGC thing posted on Bleacher Report so idk where that's coming from. I'm sure they have video game content, but only because BR's staff is entirely made up of unpaid high schoolers and college freshmen.

They actually made a character easier to play than terumi LOL

Oh good. I had already settled on Mai as my character because of the parallels to Nemea in Warriors Orochi and because I enjoyed Remix Heart. Really happy to hear that for once I'm playing a decent character.

...

Okay Platinum was decent too but Bullet got my ass handed to me so many times online.

I'm really excited to try Mai. But not sure when she'll be out for EU.

do you guys gravitate toward to a certain characters types when picking mains? I notice I always pick the mobile characters with mix-ups. It usually falls under the ninja types.

Sure. Aesthetics first, so i always pick pretty characters. From those, the one that has kinda low execution requirements so i don't mess up too much, and has some really obnoxious or cheap stuff so i can frustrate my opponents. High mobility, evasive stuff or an above average attack range are a big plus.

I usually go with mid-tier characters that are pretty good but you ought to put work in, and it feels rewarding to win with them when you've outplayed somebody.

There was someone in the thread saying he still doesn't know how to V-Trigger.

Like I get some of the arguments for why the whole genre has problems clicking with a mainstream audience, but SFV is kina not the right target.
