I think the Diablos flagship is lazy.

Everything about this game smacks of lazy cash in.

It looks like they included barioth/diablos WHICH SHOULD OF NEVER BEEN REMOVED IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Still no swimming even with Lagiacrus back on the desert island. Feels awful.

Will wait for Switch HD vers.

- Monster Hunter on consoles always have been bigger than on handhelds
- Street Fighter V is proof that being exclusive to the PS4 actually pays off for Capcom
- The MonHun franchise is strong in Japan but stronger in the west which makes the shift to homeconsoles plausible
- The huge userbase they've built on the 3DS which is attached to the mainline series and jumping towards the Switch in the future would probably understand why they would have to play the Portable series and not object because in general the Japanese are very polite

Blame Capcom, they only brought over the G versions in recent times. Really weird they didn't wait this time, which makes me believe there is a Switch version to push Generations G with a news system launch.

Sounds like that person called the name of it, not the existence of the title, which was obvious to begin with. Either way, I don't see why a PS4 MH game is out of the question. Crazier things have happened. If the DQXI reveal has taught me anything, it's that NIntendo fans shouldn't be so keen to make assumptions based on historical 3DS releases and sales. I don't think dqxi wasn't too farfetched. There had been a lot of spin-offs for ps4 and SE seemed to be having a good relationship with sony.

Everyone should give up hope of monster hunter on anything but nintendo consoles. I know i have.

It seems pretty obvious in hindsight, but most of the predictions were XG. Still not enough credit though, my guess is he got lucky or somehow saw the trailer beforehand.

Their fiscal year budget plan (ends March 2017 I assume) does not have Switch softwware at this moment. They also said they are willing to put effort towards that platform.

Sony paid for MH5 to NOT be on Switch (not exclusively on PS4)
Sony was DESPERATE for Japan when they made the deal (Despite having FF, KH and DQ on PS4 already)
But Capcom is making it for the west (not Japan) by changing the combat, world design and gameplay

The second reason next to him guessing the name right why I would believe it is because he said Sony is paying the bills. Capcom has more than ever become an extremely weird company and if Sony gave them a huge check I could easily seem them just go "Why not?" and just do it.

I think that the MH5 portrayed in the rumor would fail to atract both western and Japanese fanbases, i fail to see a reason why Sony would moneyhat a japanese focused franchise and then make it western focused.
