Damnit, how am I going to justify buying the black 3DS when I already have the white one.
My addiction to buying handhelds I don't need may be starting again.(at one point I had maybe 10 gba sp's and a few psp's).

I've got a MH4U N3DSXL. It's really nice, but the right speaker is harsh and is probably blown. Plus, it has a few scratches plus a deep scratch on top. It costs $85 to repair the speaker with Nintendo...
I don't know what to do. This offer is tempting enough that I may want to trade in my XL. I dunno how hard fixing it myself would be, and paying repair fee is almost as much as this...Or, I could just keep my old system but switch over to this new one. What should I do, GAF?

I have the white version (got the AC: HHD bundle a while back), but wanted the black one for a while now.
Not worth wading through Walmart/Target for, but I might bite if it pops up on Amazon/etc.

That's a deal. I'm tempted even with my money shortages, my recently acquired black nXL, and my burning need for a switch. It's a hell of an offer for anyone whose been wanting to pick up a DS though now at the end of its lifespan.
Is that on the PR or you just joshing? :/

Sorry, what I meant was, ongoing price for this specific LE model (and potentially subsequent models). It's unclear how limited it is or how long supplies will last. If the MSRP is $99 and they don't all sell on BF, presumably unless there is a new MSRP for after that date those models will still be $99. It's just hard to parse out at this point. As you indicated, I'm speculating; I'm sorry to have not been clearer about that and I really should have been, I just got excited for a moment at my own speculation and typed before thinking it through. I just really am not sure what to make of this pricing in terms of what future N3DS pricing will be or if there will be a different MSRP for this one after BF if the model is still on shelves, depending just how limited the quantity is.
I might be wrong, I'm just speculating and trying to figure this out.

If I didn't have some digital games on my 3ds I'd switch to the new 3DS.
But I hardly play it anyways. I think it's just a super tempting price.

for real. Nintendo has a pretty consistent history of BF specials at this point.
I don't see how that's relevant to what I said about BC.
When I said "zero backwards compatibility," I didn't just mean it with regard to the 3DS. I meant it literally. It's likely not backwards compatible with Wii or Wii U either.
As far as I can tell they haven't even made any new faceplates for Japan since Spring. Not sure if they've stopped making new ones or what. There are still some great ones out there though, and some can be had for a pretty decent price now.
