NieR Automata Releasing March 7th 2017

I don't know how they can keep getting away with having such limited availability (No Canadian $, Just USD, for example), and such high prices ($180 US + $44 US Shipping).

If I could pre-order a limited edition with just the steelbook, artbook, and CD on Amazon I'd be super happy.

But nope, gotta have those overpriced Square Enix Exclusives!

They can keep getting away with it because they sell and they seem to be truly limited. They control how much they make.

Guys, I just paid 10$ for shipping, same with my FFXV CE, so I dunno why you are getting so high shipping =/

Shipping & Handling: €34.99

TOTAL AMOUNT DUE: €224.98

Since when did they enforce tracking only? Hah, it's because UKs mail service is a major cesspit of Shit at soon as it's going off island? Yes, yes it
probably
is.

Meh, to damn in love with Yoko to not buy it.

Knowing SE, its going to be a PlayArts figure. I would jump on it if it didn't include the figure.

Uhm, no? It says it's a figurine. Usually it says PA if it is a PÅ figure.

Edit: And why is PSN and SE using the same number for 2 step verification?

What is the quality of the figures usually like for SE's collector edition?
Don't have much experience with them but the Noctis Play Arts Kai that came with the UCE of FFXV was really good for me. But I know others that say differently. Besides this is a statue so anything goes now.

As long as it's not like the Bravely Default figure in Europe.

Was interested but £170?

Really enjoyed the first but I just don't care enough about Nier as a series to pay that much for a CE of it. =/

I hope this isn't a new trend of theirs making all of their CE's ridiculously expensive.

The only bad figure I remember from S-E was that Bravely Default monstrosity.
The Bravely Second one was great on the contrary. Others are usually average at worst imo...

Probably close to 100%. That and an OST release(s) are sure things.

Really? Was this the case with past SE special/collector's editions?

If so, I'd be completely fine with buying the art book separately, assuming it's a fair price.

The art book, steelbook, and CD are the main reasons I'm interested in the black box anyway.

I hate that the CE is limited to the Square Enix store. That 20 percent discount from Amazon with free release day shipping would make it a lot more palatable. As of now I will pass.

Exactly.

I rather have a special edition on Amazon.ca that I can use my prime discount on, than have to pay inflated shipping, customs, and conversion from the Square Enix Store.

Such a load of garbage.

I'm on the same boat, I was ready to even pay without the 20% discount from Amazon but the shipping is what kills it for me. It pains me to pass on the figure and the steelcase but since the Black Box edition is Square-Enix store exclusive I'll just go with the day one edition.

That Black Box edition looks NICE. Too bad it'll be out of copies by the time I got money cop it. I'll settle for that PSOne bot, though.

I don't really care for limited editions, but I would consider it for this game. They'd have to release one for PC though.

I need this but my wallet is still reeling from the $300 I dropped on FFXV CE. Square sure knows how to part me from my money.
IKR? Then KH3 then FF7...damn. :(

If you live in North America: DO NOT expect one to come with a disc. Square is absolute with no physical editions of PC games.

Honestly why I'm just getting the Black Box anyways. lol I'll buy and play it on PC either way.

Don't even mind not having a physical edition for PC. Just do a collector's edition for PC, Square.

But I'm happy just buying the game alone if they don't end up doing it.

Is the soundtrack only 13 tracks? That's really scummy of SE of so. As much as I love Nier, this is grossly overpriced. I'll just buy the artbook and soundtrack separately

How much later and where would one be able to buy the soundtrack/artbook?

Usually within a couple of months. Nier was maybe 2 months, Drakengard 3 was maybe 2 months as well. Just browse amazon.co.jp, and price compare with other import sites. They'll deliver to Canada

The description seems to be misleading, this appears not to be the nier automata ost but the nier live concert recording.

Most likely run by the same service provider. I also get texts from my bank from the same number.

Got an EU order in. Bit more than I'd like to pay really, that square enix premium at £170 :/

Still. Hype.

How do you fuck up the box art this bad lmao?

Horrible box art means I'm waiting on pc release date no matter when that is.

The reversible art is also cool, but if it omits the typical stuff you see in the back of any game box art, then I'm not interested in switching to the reversible. It probably just expands the art I'm guessing.

The game'll be 1080p60 on PS4, and I'm going to get spoiled to all hell on Yoko Taro's fucking incredible story he'll be weaving for this if I wait until the PC version hits, so there's no way a silly cover art (with awesome reversible cover art I'll use instead) will keep me from playing it on console.
