Recently watched the Anaconda rifftrax. Honestly for the most part it was ok, but everything to do with the snakes and John Voight was spot on. One joke at the end was especially amazing. Definitely recommended.

The Deathly Hallows pt. 2 riff was pretty good. The Harry Potter, LOTR, and Twilight riffs are some of their best work. I didn't really think the Ice Cream Bunny live show was all that funny due to the fact they reused a lot jokes from the VOD. The House On Haunted Hill live show had the same problem, but not as bad as Ice Cream Bunny.

I'll probably put in $50 for the full digital package. I hope they don't do many live shows this year. All the live shows last year really hurt their output on the main site in the second half of 2015. They went about three months without a single short from Kevin, Bill, and Mike. I assume all the live shows were what cause them to slow down, anyway. I hope they aren't running out of shorts to riff.

I managed to grab it while it was up, and it was pretty decent riff. I've actually seen the movie before because I watched all these atrocious 80's fantasy movies in college. I mean, it's no Deathstalker II or Barbarian Queen, but it's good for a laff.

Is it opening that day or are they doing midnight screenings? If it is midnight screenings, then it shouldn't be a problem.

"Midnight Screenings" have pretty much been replaced by 6:00/7:00 pm showings on Thursday night.
Or is it a genius idea? Maybe they're hoping people who go to see Civil War and get turned away because its sold out will go to Rifftrax Live instead and become fans.

Most likely because these shows are a one and done deal. Plus they do good business, at my theater at least.

Oh awesome, I really want to watch the reunion again. I wonder if that is the actual date for backers or if it might go up earlier. (Probably not.)

I've seen Rebirth of Mothra and all the Godzilla movies that Mothra was in, but I've never seen the original Mothra.

I actually didn't find tonight's Riff of Mothra all that great. A few good throwbacks and riffs, but my theater was oddly quiet or restrained with the laughter compared to others I've been to.
These things take places in the oddest theaters around me though. There's maybe 2 visible employees in the whole joint and neither check tickets, so there's this odd feeling of just walking straight through the front door and into the theater every time. I kind of did the travolta.gif the first few times with my fandango order receipt.

My theater was the same way. Not as many laughs as the last few live shows.
Yeah this was one of their weaker live shows. The Soapy short was great, but Mothra seemed like it just didn't play well for a live showing compared to the other ones. It might be because of how bland most of the movie was, and not in a horrendously bad "Manos the Hand of Fate" bland kind of way. There were still good jokes throughout though.

I thought the riffs were really good, but the movie itself sucked. Like most kaiju movies, its just boring outside of the monster action. And all Mothra's final form did here was send out huge wind gusts.

Went to Carnival of Souls.
Dirt Witch.. oh boy. THE shorts are always my favorites. This one was impressively bad.as for the feature. IT wasn't half bad imo. Some good material in there for them to work with, but even without it i think I would have enjoyed it.
Mr Lindon though. IT was impressive of much of a Slimeball that dude was. PROBABLY the greasiest fuck I've ever seen in any movie ever

Wasn't the Dirt Witch a red head? Why the hell was she a brunette after her bath? Also, what the hell is ACI? I've seen all their shorts that Rifftrax put up but I fail to see the point of them. Was ACI a scam to get grant money and use it for hookers and blow?
