nice shots Lucky! Good to see you post again.

I would say your shot of Tunnel View would look great in B&W but im pretty sure pretty much everyone that's taken a shot there makes a B&W.

Thanks, I actually did a quick try with a B&W on that shot, but then I thought that the orange fall color on some of the trees made it at least a little different from most of the other billion shots taken from that vantage point.

Hey this is a bit of a random post but I'm looking for someone to be able to take photos of houses on the market for open house flyers and social media integration. If any of you are in the California area and interested please let me know.

Thank you.

Back in the States for the holidays and goddam my hometown is depressing. Unlike dr3upmushroom I don't know how to make this place seem hopeful.

NHL last night!

]In Ohio for the holidays, and I'm spending time with family in Columbus, Ohio this week. Went to a Blue Jackets game tonight, and headed to the game against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday! Took tonight to shoot pictures, and that's due to the fact I REALLY want to just watch on Thursday. A win on Thursday puts the Jackets in first place in the ENTIRE NHL!

Anyhow, tonight's game!

Curtis McElhinney started, and Sergei Bobrovsky got the night off. Usually he's halfway decent between the pipes.

Hard fought face offs all night by both teams. Just look at the attack angle on that stick!

Sam Gagne just barely misses a goal scoring opportunity.

Tempers did flare as the night went on. A nice little scrum happened at this point in the game.

The good guys prevailed! Our backup saved 48/50 goals! We won in a shootout, and our goalie received the second star of the night!

Cam Atkinson, Columbus Forward who scored all the points and won the shootout, shines with his personality. Cam's such a nice guy, and he gave a fan one of his sticks from tonight.

Just realized I haven't done a photoshoot of my Miata with my A7 ever since I got the camera a month ago, so with break in progress, here's a few of my faves.

Just bought some film rolls and gonna give some use to my old Canon Prima Super 105. I felt a need to get back to film to try some new stuff, have a more thoughfull approach to photography, more than shooting tons of pics and always paying more attention to the camera screen. I also grew bored of hours in light room editing photos, at least with film shoot and done with it.

I bought a HP5 plus 400, a Kodak Ektar 100, a Kodak color plus 200 and for last a Agfa vista plus 400

First post in this thread and I didn't see any rules...Do you accept photos taken with cellphones? =D

I took this one yesterday and I feel like sharing. I used pro mode on my S7 flat with ISO 100 and 2 seconds of shutter speed without a tripod. Everything else was on auto. I made no edits on this shot. I don't know if it's considered a good photo by I was amazed I could take it with my phone.

Some shots from Christmas Eve:

Had to use a film effect on those shots since ISO 6400 combined with the darkness is somewhat unusable. On the other hand, I actually really like the "feel" the grain provides on the pictures... it gives it more warmth and familiarity(if that makes sense lol) which is perfect for Christmas pictures imo.

Now these ones have a cool story behind them(literally I might add haha). I dunno if y'all can tell but almost all of these "things" are ice sculptures that basically tell the story of the stop-motion movie "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town". And as you can see from the last shot, you have to be really bundled up because the temps inside the building is at 9deg Fahrenheit. And interestingly enough, my Sony A7 survived the 30 to 45 minute walk through the ice displays.

Anyway, there's more pics here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/27432612@N04/sets/72157678413006745/with/31567589210/

My wife and I took a 2-week vacation in London and Scotland a few weeks ago. One day was dedicated to checking out the Harry Potter Studio Tour, as my wife is a HUGE fan of the books and films.

The tour we did was 3 hours long, then they let you walk around freely afterward if you'd like, so we were there another 5 hours. The place was pretty great if you have a passing interest in either Harry Potter or filmmaking.

Anyhow, here are some of the photos. Lots more on my flickr if you're interested.

We took our five year old to Disneyland for the first time last night. It was also my first time using my Fuji X-T1 with 35mm F2 lens. I really like the results. The downside was it was so crowded there was hardly any opportunity to get some space between myself and my subjects. I wish I had had a wider angle lens.

I was so excited to have a camera that can actually shoot in low light (my 5D took terrible photos above 1000 ISO).

These pictures are so good! Kinda makes me ashamed of my own photographs... but also very inspirational. Wow, just wow.

Christ, these are fantastic!

Thanks guys!

Beautiful how do you tune photos to get that look?

A huge part of it I think is that Icelandic light. The other part is the processing in Lightroom.
Some HSL, curves and contrast adjustments that I try to tune to match Kodak Ektar 100.

If you are interested you can download my LR presets so you can see the base adjustments yourself.

last image I edited in this year, the first time I am looking at the pictures I've done with my sony 7II. Hopefully I will take more pictures with the camera.

Blimey what a sunset! Epic sunrays! I have nothing against editing images but curious about how close to reality was this?

Also those Iceland photos make me want to jump on a plane and head right back. What an amazing place and you took some lovely photos :)

This might be frowned upon as I'm linking direct to my site\blog, but I wrote a little blog about my ten favourite images of 2016. I only started landscape photography last November 2015 (having used cameras for a decade previously, so I'm not a total novice) but looking back at the images I've taken in the past year I'm really happy with how I'm progressing.

Here's to 2017. Look forward to seeing what everybody does over the next year :)

Thanks mate, these some cool presets you have here. I love the Ektar 100 look, so much I bought a roll to shoot some of it in my old canon prima super 105. Later I intend to buy a rangefinder to shoot film but still haven't found that poor man Leica for my needs
