Got Sai from the very first, easiest quest in his raid, on the first try. Is this Lucky or is he trash?
Are the power levels for the recent units a bit more "realistic" now ? Only played it for 1-2 day but wasnt a fan of Genin Gaara being better/stronger than Itachi for example. I saw on the last Page that Yondaime is available...is he Top Tier ?
Most farmable 6* arent that good.(only the senju are good currently)
It is more important to get their luck to 99 for farming.
Yondaime is certainly top tier for being the only unit with the largest range and the only unit that can hit Kyuubi weakspot.
His stats are high despite being very long range.
Imo tho, Neji, Tsunade, Lee are still better units to have. All high damage with excelent utility.

Most RR 6* are good and usable in this game.
After all the game does not have OP unit that can mindlessly clear the content.
But more on building mixture of units to tackle harder content.

Thats why unit that have multiple of those roles are prefarable.
Some non 6* should be top tier like Kabuto and LB Tayuya.

the more I play other Mobages, the more I appreaciate F/GO to be honest.
Each character there, from low tierest 1* to rarest 5*:
has 5 attacking cards
has 3 skills
has Noble phantasm
can have its stats boosted to the same degree of +990
Has 3 sprites, plus extra artwork for when they are maxed out
Can have their noble phantasm leveled to lvl 5 by feeding dupes
can be leveled to level 100 with grails
Like, sure, there's the fact that some characters can have their bond leveled to 10 and others only to 5, and interludes and such, but those are either just something that is coming or just quests, not an entire parts of the game.
When I go to F/Go and go to "skill level" option, all characters are there and can be leveled. In this game, Evolve and Limit break menus have most of my list greyeed out as "these characters are not applicable for this entire gameplay mechanic we have".

It's getting there. The people you would expect, such as the aforementioned Minato, are the absolute top-tier, and Shippuden Naruto/Sakura/Sasuke/etc. are all great too. Lee/Neji/Tsunade retain their top tier positions, and others (such as Sasori and Hiruzen) are great.
I don't have an issue with the power levels, so to say, just the lack of anything to do in-game. It's been four months since release, and we still haven't gotten any new story content.
Yeah, I share a lot of the same feelings. My main problem with this game right now, besides the lack of new content, is just how simple it is. There are no leader skills, buddy/field skills can be ignored (Except heal is useful), half of your team aren't even needed and act as merely stat sticks, and every fight boils down to "hit things really hard". Just no strategy involved at all, whatsoever, especially compared to, say, OPTC. I thought they would introduce more gameplay mechanics over time, and perhaps they will, but as of now, it's probably the most basic gacha I've played, gameplay-wise. But they have one of my favorite IPs so I will keep logging in once a day and see where it goes. Bandai's attention definitely seems to be on their other mobile games, though.
Also, Japanese voices are now an option!
But yeah, these banner rates. I'm staying far...far away. I wish they'd make the rates more stable, it would encourage more people to pull on them. :/
Yeah, I love the IP too, which is why I opted to give the game a try, even with the slow beginning. I just hope they make continual improvements to the game, as I'd love to see it do well. At least we (seem) to be getting free daily pearls, sot hat's something at least. Here's hoping it doesn't end after the holidays do.

I did quite a few pulls and got the new Sasuke which I was pretty happy about. I swear bronzes are appearing more often though, I did around 12 or so pulls, and most of them were base 3*'s. Frankly I was amazed I even got Sasuke.
Good job I got him when I did really. As I wasn't going to waste anymore in hope that we get that discounted banner(or maybe a guaranteed banner).
Edit: Actually apparently with the new pull tier system you're guaranteed to get at least one of the 3 bannered characters on your third multi. That's still going to be around 130 pearls in total mind you....

That's really interesting on the new pull system. I wonder if that applies to Blazing Fest pulls too, if so I might wait until Minato returns and try my luck there.

So, apparently we have a new point system. 200 points per multi-summon, and the shop has all current 5* characters (outside of Blazing Festival exclusive ones) for 600 points. Basically, a character of your choice (non-exclusive) after three multi-summons. Not bad!
I really want Tsunade, but I'll probably wait until next week before I pull. I'd rather go for the new One Tail Cloak Naruto or Minato than Rin/Kid Kakashi/Obito. Well, Rin would be nice, but it's only a 33.3% chance of getting her in the third multi-summon.

Yeah, I'm really excited to see what LB Rock Lee is like. I'm tempted to do the pulls on this banner so I can grab Tsunade via the points, but I'd rather do my 3x multi-pulls next week for the Blazing Festival Banner. I just hope the point system is still in-game by that point...

I know both of you also play DB Dokkan...if you had to decide for one game to play...which one would you choose ? Im thinking of giving one of both another fair shot since playing both will be too time consuming.
Also are their any interesting events going on right now for newcomers ? And how do both titles compare when it comes to time consumption ? Whenever i visit the Dokkan thread there seems to be a tournament going on with people having to farm or battle dozens of time - so i would assume Naruto is the better game if you cant invest that much time per Day for it. Just trying to figure out what makes most sense.
Really hard to choose, but I like Dokkan more than Naruto.

- More creative boss, but become really easy with OP units.
For Naruto
- Contents are following JP closely.
- Contents are pumping out fast too.
- Most of the battle are the same. use special, stall special, use special.
- Raid bosses are more creative but it is really hard and time consuming to do.
Both are quite good for newcomer
But currently Dokkan have the best banner in gacha game.
Technically it is guaranteed 5* include chance of it to be 3 of the legend units from 1 multi pull(50gems)
Time consuming.
Naruto PVE > Dokkan PVE
Dokkan PVP > Naruto PVP
once you reach high level with good units, Dokkan has much easier time in clearing out stamina.
for PVP tho, you need to spend ~4hours in 5 days to reach top 10k 80wins.
Similarly in Naruto, when you have many maxed units, you can Auto the easier content to get 80lucks character (get the same "fortnight" character 80x)
Tournament happen ~1x per month.
Dokkan PVP = reach top 10k (which include 80wins) to get 2 GSSR tickets
Naruto PVE = spend 3 orbs every 3 hours for 1 week to reach level 100.
Naruto reward is lacking but you get free orbs once you reach level 100.
There are some core similarities between the games - both have content that lasts a short amount of time (say, a week) but rotate often. So, if you don't get it done this week,it'll be back in a few weeks time. Gacha can be unforgiving in both, and in each, there's a real premium put on top units. The good thing about Naruto, at least, is that you really only need 2 good units, and the third unit is a friend unit. The other 3 members of your team are held in reserve and really just HP stat sticks.
Gameplay in Naruto is very simple, but that's either good or bad, depending on your point of view. There's nothing to gameplan when facing new content or bosses. Take your strongest units, stall with your healers, then use specials on boss. I prefer more complex gameplay myself, as the simple gameplay gets stale pretty fast. Dokkan has more complex gameplay. While you can just use your strongest characters and win many fights, there are also other fights where you need to use certain units or a certain strategy to win. This is more interesting and it makes a lot of those "bad" units you pulled suddenly useful and not so bad. That goes a long way in a gacha game. In Naruto, when you pull a bunch of 3 and 4 stars, you just know that they are most likely going to be useless.
Both have similar PvP tournaments. I have no idea why people spend 5 hours a day grinding Dokkan's PvP jut for a free SSR, but it's so, so not worth that time sink. You can do it casually and still get great value from it. Same with Naruto pvp. You don't have to hardcore grind to still get the unit and reach the top of the castle ladder thingy to get all those rewards.
As far as content, there is FAR more in Dokkan. FAR. But it's been out a lot longer, so that's not really fair. But it is what it is. You'll run out of things to do in Naruto, other than farm, before long.
Naruto's ace in hole, really, is its live multiplayer. It's very well implemented and is fun. Also, the Naruto community is toxic and makes multiplayer not worth playing because you'll just be kicked from every room if you don't have top end maxed out units, even for trivial content. I haven't played multiplayer in months. Still, its in the game, and maybe Bandai will improve it. Dokkan has no multiplayer.
As far as being time consuming, both really aren't that time consuming once you reach a certain point. Naruto has auto-play which speeds things up and helps mindless farming. I would give 20000000 for Dokkan to have that. I play these 2 plus OPTC, mostly because in Dokkan and Naruto, you can take days off and not really miss out on anything. It's very liberating to just log in and then ignore the game until the next day when you have more time.
Finally, while totally subjective, Naruto has the better IP. I honestly get a bit tired of having 30 versions of Goku, Vegeta, Gohan and Trunks.
Anyway, all that said, I prefer Dokkan by quite a bit because it has more content, more complex gameplay, and the gacha is less frustrating (even "bad" units can have a use). I prefer OPTC to both of them though.

From what you described i probably would have an easier time to get into Naruto - because there is less content, auto battle and i "only" need to pull 2-3 good units to have a solid team.
Maybe i could run both games casually and depending on the content invest more - its not like i have to play every game as hardcore as OPTC or Brave Exvius.
So Linkent if your post from earlier this month is still relevant i should aim for these units ?

Ended up buying some pearls since you can choose a 5* after 3 multi's and they were on sale anyway. Decided to do it on this banner because I wasn't sure whether the blazing one next week would have tiers like this one. Plus I already have half the 5* in the blazing fest anyway. =/

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Blazing:
Both games are great, with Naruto being a lot younger than Dokkan. Because of that, there's not a whole lot of content right now, but we regularly receive new raids and the Japanese release already has a new section of story that Global should be receiving soon. Also, the game is continually updated, with new features being added. It does feel a little like it's an "open beta" of sorts, so it's kind of one of those games I log in briefly, do a few things, and then log back out. I think in six months it'll be a lot better (we're constantly getting new things, like Granny's Shop), so it's very much a work-in-progress. It doesn't hurt to start a new account now and start building up those free/daily pearls, though!
As for who to re-roll for, you can't go wrong with Tsunade/Neji/Lee. Keep in mind, Lee is now a Blazing Festival-exclusive character (alongside Minato, and a couple others) so you won't be able to re-roll for him outside of Blazing Festival (which we should get next week). If you are re-rolling during the festival, aim for Minato or the new One-Tail Cloak Naruto. He looks absolutely insane. If you do wait, go for Minato/One-Tail Naruto/Lee, IMO. Tsunade is amazing, as is Neji, but you can get them via Granny's Shop (with time). I'd aim for a great exclusive character that you can only pull from a Blazing Festival banner. Right now, that includes Minato, Rock Lee, Shukaku Gaara, Itachi, and Zabuza. One-Tail Cloak Naruto will be added next week.
Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle:
This is another great gatcha game. Thankfully, the rates for SSR have iproved quite a bit over the year, although you do still hit the occasional banner where rates are low. After you settle into your account (if you choose to start), when a new banner hits I'd personally wait for stats to be released before you pull. They can vary quite a bit, so it's usually best to see what they are before you spend your Dragon Stones. Thankfully, Dragon Stones are pretty plentiful, especially for new players. There's a lot of content/events to work through, and Bandai Namco are pretty nice about giving them out for daily logins/celebrations.
If you do re-roll for a character, right now is the best time to do it. We have a Christmas banner that has three of the God Leads currently available in the game, those being Super Vegito, SSJ3 Gotenks, and Gogeta. All three are amazing characters and can only be pulled on banners that feature them. The Dokkan Awaken materials might be a little difficult to those just starting out, but they are absolutely worth re-rolling for. In order, I'd go SV --> Gotenks --> Gogeta, but either of them are fine for just starting out. Gogeta might be the more "beginner-friendly", since his leader skill doesn't have a type restriction so you can use him for any/all of your characters (bonus points if they have links that go well with him), but for type-specific teams (which is the current meta for endgame content in Japan, due to the HP/ATK/DEF. they provide) Super Vegito and Gotenks are GODLY. It'll take a bit longer to get the AGL/TEQ team members to fill out your roster, but even with the free strike characters, Super Vegito and Gotenks still do amazing things. It just goes to show how powerful they are.
If I were you, I'd take advantage of the banner right now and re-roll for Super Vegito. He's the absolute best character currently in the Global version (and still remains there in the Japanese release), and can find himself on many teams thanks to his special as well as passive (reduce normal attacks by 70% and counter).

Yeah, this banner doesn't really interest me (outside of Rin), so I'm really hoping the point thing is still earnable via pulls next week for Blazing Festival. I want to try again for Minato as well as the new Naruto, so I'd rather do 3x multi there than here. I do want Tsunade, so if the points are still earnable then I'll definitely grab her.

About rerolling - i tried two times yesterday but didnt get anything good, i also didnt know there were Blazefest exclusive units.The best course of Action for me would be to wait until next week to start rerolling. I will try to get 1-2 of the units you listed and casually work my way up from there.
Really interested to see how this game will evolve over the next months - seems like they already added a bunch of stuff since the launch a couple of months ago, i remember the launch being kinda lackluster and everyone waiting on that Haku event heh.

Yeah, the game has changed quite a bit since it was first released. They've added new/better ways to earn ramen (including evolving them to a higher tier), although they need to add an A-Rank for scrolls missions still. Story content is as it was when it launched, but as I said we should be receiving a new update soon with more chapters. We also got the Granny Shop (well, it's kind of a soft-launch right now and isn't permanent quite yet, but it will be!) and LB'ing your characters.
BTW, LB refers to "Limit Breaking", and is a way to level beyond the normal cap of 100 (for a 6*). It's not for every character, but the list grows with each passing month. You earn LB materials by completing the missions associated with them, and then fuse the LB materials with different rarities of scrolls. It's pretty expensive, and the XP needed to level beyond 100 (especially when you hit 130) is pretty extensive, but the changes to the ramen (and being able to evolve 3* into 4*) helps a lot.
If you're re-rolling, Minato is definitely a great one to aim for. Rock Lee is great too, especially since he's getting an LB (it's been announced). Also, the Cloak Naruto is INSANE!! I really want him.
Sounds pretty good thanks - hope the the next event starts early next month so i can spend some time rerolling before work starts again. Need to be already settled in, because i wont have much time for that in the second January week heh.
I read that you can get a free Minato right now just from login in - will he is still be up in a week or whenever the next Blazing Fest is ? If he is gone by then i might need to start on a dummy account now and just hope for good pulls on that fest next month.
the free Minato we get is not the banner Minato.
Not really good. but all abilities unlock and low cost card is always usable for new players.

The free Minato(5* max) is different than premium Minato(6* max). And Blazing fest now are random, you might get it again in a month or we might not see it again for 3 months.
I wouldn't worry about that Minato. He's, more-or-less, a trophy character. He has an okay link, and his stats aren't terrible, be he's still just a 5* character (can't be awakened to 6*). The one you want is the Blazing Festival Minato, who's a Bravery-type (not Wisdom) and can go to 6*.
No, we should be getting Blazing Festival next week on Global (Japan has it now, and our banners usually follow theirs pretty closely). I can see Blazing Festival being a monthly thing, with it falling on the end of the month in Japan and the beginning of the month for us (until they catch Global up with Japan, but I can't see that every happening).
Yeah, the Granny Shop is great. Every month or so they add some new feature/tweak, the game is in a lot better shape than when it initially launched.
Anyway, I know I said earlier that I'd wait for Blazing Festival to do my 3x multi-pulls, but I was worried that we wouldn't get Granny Points on that banner (the notice for the shop specifically mentions the Obito/Kid Kakashi/Rin banner), and I really wanted Tsunade, so I went ahead with it anyway. A few new 4* characters but nothing especially great. I did get two more SKL Kabuto (so I have three of him now) and another WIS Kabuto (also at 3), so it's nice to have a few extra healers. Speaking of healers, I got Rin in my second multi-pull so I was hoping for something new in my third/guaranteed multi-pull...but got another Rin. I guess it's not terribly bad, as having more than one healer can make certain content a lot easier. I also did what I planned and grabbed Tsunade from the shop (finally!).
When the shop does return, I hope it retains the price per character and the amount earned on every multi-pull. 3x multi for a 5* character from the list sounds great to me, and would certainly make the bitter taste after summoning that number of times and getting nothing out of it, a lot easier to digest.

I know that global is getting Blazing Festival in a few days. My point was there are no set schedules for Blazing Fest as of yet. So don't think it can come at the beginning/end of each month when it's been completely random so far. Plus we've only had 2 blazing fest as of yet(JP), one at the beginning of this month and the current one going on right now for new Years. Who knows when they would hold it again, my guess is when they release the next op character (currently at Jaraiya, Tsunade and Orochimaru battle in story mode).
Oh, I gotcha.
Personally, I'd be surprised if it went more than a month without a Blazing Festival banner. I have a feeling that it will mirror the way Bandai Namco handles the Dokkan Fest/Sugofest banners in Dokkan Battle/Treasure Cruise, where we have them each month (sometimes, more than one). I know the pool of Blazing Festival characters aren't quite as large as the ones offered in the other two games, but even still one every 30 days or so seems about right for me.
I guess time will tell!

Almost regret saving all my pearls for the banner.
I expected this, since Japan didn't get points for the Team Minato banner after the shop (and their Blazing Festival) banner was added to the game. They got it for Blazing Festival, we got it for Team Minato. Honestly, I would have preferred the former, considering the rates for Blazing Festival seem higher than usual and have access to exclusive-characters. :/
Anyway, I'll probably be saving my pearls until the shop returns. I don't know when/ it will, but it's difficult to push myself to summon, when I don't get points for them which help off-set the frustration when you don't get anything. Considering how rare pearls are (we STILL didn't get the new story content!?) and I'm likely to retain my death grip on them.
I may do a multi-summon, but nothing beyond that.
So i used 80 Gems on the Blazing Fest Banner. Didnt get Naruto or Lee but Yondaime and Itachi.
Is cloaked Naruto much better than the other units ? I might try to reroll a couple more time to get him...but if not is this setup good enough so i can lay low on pulls for a bit ?
And any recommendations what beginners should do first...events or just run Story Missions ?

try to get a single of each strike mission character.
especially Lee.
best to get 5 copies. awaken them then feed 4 dupes to unlock their abilities.
Pardon my language, but holy shit those pulls! KEEP THAT ACCOUNT! Minato x2, Itachi, as well as WIS Kabuto (healer) and the BRV Kakashi you had before? Congrats man, nicely done!
As for what you should do, I'd recommend leveling your characters first. Tomorrow (or rather today, given the current time here) after reset (in a couple hours) we'll have Bravery Ramen/Scrolls. Use that time to level up your Minato. You might want to think about fusing your duplicate Minato into your primary, for the reduced cost as well as unlocking his first ability, but it's up to you. His Buddy Link is decently-useful, but it'll be a long while before you can run 2x Minato + that Kakashi, especially when you factor in your buddy links. Just hold onto him until you're sure, but I wouldn't out working into leveling him. While you're at it, you can try leveling your BRV Kakashi and use both of those as your main attackers as soon as you're able. You can also hold off on awakening them to 6* for a bit if you want, as their costs increase when you do so (but then, so do your stats and you unlock the secret/hidden jutsu).
Aside form that, just work through story (shouldn't take you too long). You can try a few events, but the drop rates for the characters are really bad on the easier difficulties so it'd probably be a waste of your time.

I did 2x multi-pulls even though I said I'd only do one. A troll gold (Choji) got me on the first one, so I kind of rage-pulled a second multi. It could have ended badly for me, but I pulled a Minato (YES!!!!!!!!!) and a dupe Rock Lee (eh). I have enough for another multi-pull, but I'm calling it here.
I used the last 50 pearls I was saving for a rainy day to do a multipull because I just want Naruto or Minato god dammit.

He's great, not sure how beginner-friendly he'll be to obtain, though. Thankfully, he will return later on.
Congrats on all of the Rock Lee? Look on the bright-side, with all of his abilities unlocked (and fully-pilled), his attack will be over 3k. Given his multiplier when his secret jutsu activates, he'll be a monster.

Honestly though, your current account is more than fine. In many ways, I feel Minato is the better pull over Cloak Naruto, and I'm not just saying that because I just pulled him. While he might not be as strong as Cloak Naruto, his range is MASSIVE (Vast, the only of his kind so far), which combo's with anyone else it touches (assuming they're within range of an enemy). He's a great rainbow lead that you can run alongside other characters, and his secret jutsu is a great boss killer (while not being as strong as Naruto's, due to his lower attack stat, it still gets the job done).
Seriously, stick with your 2x Minato/Itachi/Kakashi account and start leveling everything up!
That's true. He only costs 33 to use him too, lol.
Almost makes me want another one to get him under the 27 limit for challenges. Would make those so much easier!
