so i assume hardware is not region locked like the gamepad right? kind of a silly question but i just don't want to risk it
The only website that's working it seems is Amazon. Thank god I went there first.

phew managed to snag one. I guess i'll get the game first before switch since they can ship outside japan for the gam lol
no region locked. that's the 2nd thing mentioned after price/date during the switch presentation

The stores that opened preorders in my country are selling it even though the official price hasn't been revealed yet. The assholes are charging 150 USD more for it than its official price in the US (+shipping).

Lol this got a good laugh outta me. Reading my post I guess it is a bit silly but I did mean it. I'd be so pissed if I couldn't get my pre-order because any outlet decided to allow international customers to pre-order.

The one with the sword-statue is another edition and MyNintendo-store exclusive in Japan.
Yeah, it doesn't have the bendy sword. I don't think it even has the case.
Yeah, its an amiibo.
If I remember correctly the sword statue is exclusive to the nintendo shop.

Oh for some reason I though amiibos had a different looking base.
The NIntendo Switch Store is now up on Amazon jp.
So the difference is no sword statue/figure, case, and the coin but it has an amiibo and it looks like an EU style cover (extra)

Try Monday on Nintendo's new store. I have work, so no choice but to try my luck with Amazon/Bic. But I would have preferred Nintendo, the Blue+Blue would be slick.
You can easily (And I mean EASILY) flip the statue on the B/S/T thread, since that is the item that most people missed with their pre-order (In the US the Special edition has everything but the Statue)

And the sexy black minimalist box. That's actually what a lot of people like the most about the Master edition.
I feel your pain, I spent around 4 hours in queue last Sunday just to touch a Switch. But it is so sweet.
That is the amiibo you can buy separately. Nothing special about it other than its in the box. Looks like amazon.jp is not getting the limited edition with the sword, only the nintendo store. I got the le from the us which besides the statue you got a case...even the us se version got the case but no amiibo.

The post I quoted mentioned the Deluxe Edition, that one does have the Sword statue.
I can see that, for a box its pretty damn sexy. I am still debating if I sell mine to pay for my switch and stick to my special edition, thank god I was awake at 2am when that released on amazon. I'll probably keep both, lol.
