The matchmaking in this game is garbage and even though I would rage constantly with titanfall 1 matchmaking at least it was challenging.

I think if this game went titanfall 1 levels of matchmaking people would finally realize how fucking absurd this game is. When you'd be going up against teams of OP ARs , devotions and A-wall camping........ people would lose it lol
 
What the hell did Respawn do to the melee detection in this game?

My hits have the range of a pencil, yet people can still hit me 50 feet away, give me a break.

Yeah, its really flimsy.

You'll either Halo lunge or miss a melee when you're right in their face. Titan melees are busted as well.

Another night of constant losses. Started last night with 140 pts in attrition only to lose, tonight ranged in 80-100 most games, lost basically all but like 2 games. Attrition is basically the only thing I can get a game in and matchmaking being non existent just means the teams are insanely unbalanced especially if the other team is a group. Lost one match by 200 points, finished the night with a game where 3 people quit on my team after about 2 min into the game. There game selection solution should have been the first thing they fixed, 3 months later is just so unacceptable. Its bad enough the population is down, but segregating out the games has just made it impossible to play anything but attrition. Mixed mode works sometimes but I end up playing the same people every match.

went back to use R-201 and if feels more inconsistent.
 
how does the "gun ready" attachment work? the description just says faster ADS, but the picture makes it look like it readies your weapon faster out of sprint.

Same here, that was the gun I depended on when I felt like I had to use my best gun. At one point 5k of my 11k kills were from that gun. Since the nerf I've hardly used it. I really felt the nerf, but when I saw frothy's damage values it made me even more upset. 5 hits to kill up close and 8 from far away?

I basically took it out of my line up and prefer the R-97 to it now. I won't get Swolbro salty, but I'm pretty salty about that nerf. It should still be at least barely a 4 hit kill from up close and 7 from far away IMO. Don't know about PC, but on console I see no reason to use it over the other 3 SMG's now. Even if it has better range, it's not good enough to use it over the Flatline or 201 if you need a automatic at long ranges.

Fuck that sort of Matchmaking. In EU server after hours there were the same 3 dudes who were steamrolling. Myself, one other dude, and yet another. In order to win one game, I got 196.

The matchmaking doesn't realise that I can only get that sort of score against bad players, so when it groups the other two good players together and gives me worse opponents...

ANYWAY

Happy to somewhat report that apart from the achievements that require a minimum of 36 days of player or w/e (or 50 wins in a dead game mode), everything is possible to get before reaching G2. So if you wanna play Titanfall for the first time, you can get 1000 just by being half decent.

Just gotta do Frontier Defense and I'm done (which I refuse to do without a competent teammate, so if anyone here wants to...)

I'm jumping on FD/Atrrition to get these last achievements on this dude's account. Lemme know if anyone wants to join (my nephew agreed to help too!)

Just gotta do FD for like 10 maps and win 20 Attrition games and that's like 1600. The rest are impossible or take a month.

Legit impressed myself getting all the harder achievements in a single sitting

Biggest takeaway is how in Titanfall 1, garbage players are CRAP as Titans. Which is a good thing, because you can outplay with maneuverability or hitting those crits. In Titanfall 2, even a garbage player can just Core your or some shit and it feels like you can't fight something below average.

They tweaked something because I am not in sync with the game ever since the Jan update. Really pisses me off because of the hours I dumped into the game. Every time I drop into a game and end up getting a shit team and have to try and rescue the score I end up getting so pissed I want to throw my controller against the wall. They either change the speed or timing of the ADS or reaction time of the hit boxes.

Respawn/Infinity Ward introduced and continue to use one of the most frustrating melee systems in fps games in my opinion. Not only with the range/lunge bullshit, but just the one-hit-kill nonsense. I've never understood why people like this system. I'm 100% okay with a one hit kill from behind, but in front? Especially when I'm shooting the person? Stupid.

I've had plenty of situations where an enemy was a few feet away, got hit by 2-3 of my bullets, only to melee through it and win. Totally deserved right?

If Treyarch did one thing right with the CoD franchise it was eliminating that bullshit mechanic in Black-Ops 3. Halo has always been good with melee as well, never allowing it to be an instant win button when in front of the enemy. I'm playing a fucking fps game where it takes multiple bullets to kill someone... Yet i can get slapped across the face, wearing gear, and instantly die? Garbage.

Yeah, the melee being an instant kill thing was fun and fresh in MW, but feels just terrible now. Every time some asshole lags through a couple of my bullets then commando lunges into a one hit kill punch I just want to yell. When your network solution is bad, hit detection is bad, and melee is a one hit kill, you have a recipe for frustration.

LIVE FIRE update looks awesome. That melee animation :O

Respawn makes terrific trailers. That said, I'm never going to play this mode. My desire to buy anything else cosmetic, like that execution, has dropped considerably due to the lack of support for the game.

100% agreed. That is a great presentation of what they're doing with the game post-launch. Respawn has mostly shrugged and eventually put out a single image that showed content already out and a vague "and more!"

Did you read Drew's post on reddit I linked to a few pages back? You won't get one that detailed and far out due to their dev process. Thats what I took from it, anyway.

From what I understand, it's EXACTLY like (edit: Breakout) where the Flag will be used as ti-ebreaker for the most part or the motivation for fights to commence.

Round based Elim mode with a flag in the middle.

Would you call Breakout ctf?

I was so happy when Halo 5 removed that garbage from Arena playlist
