How much are you spending on a Switch day one?

$0 - I realise you can snidely ask why I am posting then but the question was 'how much are you spending' not 'assuming you are buying one then how much...'

If anything, this would make someone snidely ask why you bothered to add all this detail instead of just saying $0 lol ;D

Don't make me add it all up... but it's almost $500.

Okay, I'll do it:

$317.99 - Switch with Grey Joy-Con

$74.19 - Pro Controller

$110.23 - The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Master Edition

For a TOTAL of $502.41

Something to note, as I sold me Zelda Wii U for $378 on eBay right after the presentation (the only way I could justify the cost). So I appropriate those funds directly toward this launch, therefore bringing my mental TOTAL to $124.41.

Grey Switch: $299.99
LOZ: Breath of the Wild Master's Edition: $129.99
Super Bomberman R: $39.99 (Amazon discount)
External charging station: $29.99

Texas sales tax: $41.25

Grand Total: $541.21

Luckily I had a massive GameStop gift card saved to pay off the Switch, Zelda, and the charging station and still have $34 left over for either Mario Kart or a Pro-Controller. I cannot wait for this thing :)

Will get the Link and Zelda amiibos day 1, which is ~$50. Still undecided if I want to get the Switch + new Zelda game day 1. I will probably wait to buy the console until the next Smash Bros game releases.

I'm looking at a couple of offers here in Italy, to get the console for 229€ (by trading some games in) or 269€ (with no trade in at a different store). If i manage to do that it will be

Switch 229-269€
Limited Zelda 97€
Bomberman 45€
Pro Controller 50€ (with trade in at gamestop)

So it's ~420-460€ based on how i get the Switch. Not too bad.

Switch with Grey Joy-Cons - $299
Zelda Special Edition - $79 (after 20% off from Best Buy GCU discount)
200GB UHS-1 microSD card - $77 (found here)
Snipperclips - $20

Already have some USB-C charge cables from my disastrous purchase of a Note 7 last year, so no need to buy any more charge cables.

My intended use for the system has changed slightly so the amount I'm spending at launch has gone up. My wife is good friends with one of our neighbors and she has two 9 year old boys. They're possibly the nicest kids I've ever met and she works evenings so I'm getting an extra pair of Joy-Cons and a bunch of multiplayer games I may not have considered before so we can all play.

At launch I'm getting the Switch, a 128 GB Micro SD card, a Pro Controller, an extra pair of Joy-Cons, Breath of the Wild, Super Bomberman R, Snipperclips, and the BotW archer and guardian amiibo's. That's about $650 before tax, but I had a bunch of trade credit and Amazon gift card money so it's more like $400.

Switch and physical copy of Zelda BoTw. Trying to get a special edition zelda if I can by end of day 1 at target. That's it for now. I'll buy more controllers, games, and storage space when I need it. I did preorder Super Mario Odyssey and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 ahead of time via bestbuy though.

I have got a small discount on the console so probably

270€ neon console
45€ Zelda amiibo

I should receive a review code for Zelda so that would be enough for day 1

Bomberman and setsuna and has been heroes could be my other March purchases the week after

They have this habit in the US, to show prices without tax. :)

What kind of screen protector should I use for the Switch? Should I go with film, PET, or glass? I want something that will protect it the best without it damaging the screen in the long run.

I also want to buy a skin protector cover for it but only Skinomi sells them and they are either not available or sold out on Amazon.

A mistake from the bank, you receive ~1900 euro's,

Guess I'll have even more money to spend on the Switch coming month.

Feel like cancelling all my Switch pre-orders and just buying the Stormblood CE instead. Then I remember it's not coming out until June. WHEW.

$0.

I'm instead spending $48 (+ tax) on the Wii U version of Breath of the Wild.

I will get a Switch bunduru down the line, maybe when Mario Odyssey comes out.

You know they have right to take the money back? Which they probably will once someone reports their 1.9k missing.

I spent 380, had a 400.00 gift card from black Friday to use. Don't know if it's frowned upon for selling but will dump my switch for anything close to retail and save the money for Scorpio. Zelda special edition came packed with extra scorpio pre order dollars.

I've already answered in this thread, but I've updated some stuff.
I'm going with my local GameStop in Sweden, so some stuff might be more expensive than other places. But I've done some trade in deals, so I don't have to spend so much real money on it.

- Nintendo Switch Grey (3699kr / $417)
- Pro Controller (999kr / $112)
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (699kr / $79)
- Screenprotector (79kr / $9)
- Switch Case (199kr / $23)
- Zelda themed in ear headset (199kr / 23)

Total about: 5874kr / $663

Console, Zelda & 1-2 Switch put me at a little over $420 after tax and amazon prime discount. Fortunately Zelda was pretty much free since I had a gift card.

Being an early adopter is always costly. I'm really glad you can still play 2 player games with the half of a joycon, it will keep me from buying another pair for a couple of months.

This is the first video game system to come with 2 player out of the box at launch since the original NES, right?

I decided against buying one at launch. I rather wait till the Holiday's when more games are out especially Mario and maybe a bundle will be around just for the Holiday's. The only game I would get is Zelda and I can wait for that if I really felt compelled to play it I would just buy the Wii U version till I get a Switch.

Well hello there, stranger.

Based on phones, go with tempered glass. That's what I'll be doing. If you drop it face down, the glass will *hopefully* take most of the blow, and not crack your screen.
