The show is fun and knows exactly what it is and it's doing it well, I'm glad it's successful. Also, Murtaugh is fucking crazy about his kids, he needs some anger management. He went from 0 to 60 in a second, I don't know if that was deliberate or just bad writing but holy shit.

Can I mention how fucking awesome the intro is? It sets up the show perfectly. Honesty this is one of the best action TV shows I've watched the last few years and I fucking love everything about it. It's not particularly smart but I don't give a crap since it doesn't try to be.

Yes. Lethal Weapon is my favourite film franchise, and I enjoy this. It isn't as good as the film (obviously) but it's a fantastic TV show.

Rush Hour is my favourite movie of all time and the TV show was pathetic.

Another fantastic episode. How is this not more popular?

Liked how it incorporated bits from LW3 with the DEA agent and gave Riggs a dog like he has in the films, although there's no name yet, I'd guess they'd call it Max too.

Damn. I really like how sad this show can get. Not in the "the whole world is dying!OMG! Tragedy and despair", but in quieter sadness. I did not expect that ending with chemist. Beautifully done.

This show is so good, it's Almost Human set in modern times. Miles above that thing they called MacGyver, I think it might be McGs best work?

The guy who plays Riggs is also on a Netflix movie about war with a spectral ghost army. So theirs thats

Heh. At this point I've learned to never bet against movie-to-tv adaptations. In last few years there has been very fewl duds of this kind. The success rate is insane quality-wise. At worst you get a decent inoffensive shows (like Rush Hour), but you also get some of the very best shows on tv (Hannibal and 12 Monkeys). Even those that seem terrible and done by network work well..both Lethal Weapon and Exorcist turned out to be very good and I was sure those two would finally be the ones who would break the "tv adaptaions usually are very good" rule.

My god I wish they kept Detective Cho around.
For that sad ending damn it was a hilarious episode, Detective Cho was killing me in every scene with Murtaugh

My wife asked me why Riggs looks like a 70s porn star. Then commented he needs to cut off the stash.

Very much my thought. I enjoyed the show's version of Leo Getz, but of course no Joe Pesci.

And I do feel he will be a recurring character, much like Pesci was for the movies. As long as it continues to be renewed, which I feel it will.

Just started watching this and I am pleasantly surprised. It's got feels, laughs and bromance, not to mention a great soundtrack as well. Hoping for a season 2.

Catching up now, binged 8 today. Totally enjoying it but them
jumping out the window, shooting the bomb and dropping into a small pool from clearly a very high floor
was dumb and actually annoyed me a bit.

Is there a chance I will enjoy this if I thought the original trailer looked terrible? Also, awhile back I saw the opening scene where a bullet flies through Riggs's shirt during a chase and he just laughs it off without moving to a safer position... before the tragic loss of his wife. Which made it seem like they missed the point of the character?

But yeah... I keep hearing good things which is weirding me out. And I've been in a buddy cop mood. I'll probably check out the pilot.

It's a fun show as long as you don't take it too seriously. It's a adaptation of an over the top 80's film after all so you're gonna get some ridiculous looking action scenes lol. But if you're looking for a comfy easy to watch show with laughs, action, feels and bromance I think this show does a great job. Honestly, the thing that surprised me the most are the emotional moments which really help you see the pain that Riggs is going through episode to episode.
