It took me 27 and a half hours but I finally got ending A in NieR Automata. Whew. Great game so far, I can't wait to start digging into path B tomorrow. My play time is a bit lengthy but a lot of that was spent on side quests, upgrading weapons and fishing, so it should save me some time later on. I think my side quest completion was 52% and I only had 7 or 8 fish left the last time I looked.

I also watched Logan earlier today. I wasn't expecting it to match the hype (GAF and a lot of others thought Civil War was amazing) but it's pretty great. If only the mainline X-Men movies could be anywhere near that good.

Nier pissed me off last night. Said something about a boss in the city ruins, ran towards it and it said I abandoned the mission. Hadn't saved in 2 hours.

Accidentally got that ending at least, but I ragequit last night. Thank god the game is good enough to redo that progress.

My condolences man. I feel the pain although for me it was a case of not even being able to be mad at it because I felt so trolled. Lost ~2 hours to a certain ending (K). Which well ends the game and makes you continue from your last save.

Ouch, yeah I lost 30 minutes of progress around that same point because I accidentally unequipped my OS chip lol. That taught me to a) Save a LOT and b) Not unequip my f'n operating system.

I don't think it's randomized. I think it's all based on physics with maybe hidden values like balance and tension.You just don't expect them in a Tetris based game. Of course a square would tip over if half of it is off the ground.

It's not random at all and it's a really fun game. Kyle hates it because he's trying to apply Tetris gameplay to a game that uses the same shapes but uses them differently.

Also the half step, the half step definitely messes up his muscle memory.

Ah, cheers, that makes sense now. Only ~800 more to get to 100k looked pretty easy at a glance but looking at those trends, it looks like it might be a week late, which is still pretty good.

As for suggestions, well Kyle does lurk in the deepest, darkest shadows of this thread, so I'm pretty sure he reads the suggestions we make. Whether he actually likes them enough to follow through on (or remember) them is another matter though.

Going by the quality of easy updates and the recent tech difficulties I wouldn't really trust Ian with the task, lol. I imagine the attendees would appreciate it as well if Ian was able to dedicate his attention to them rather than focusing on filming.

It seems like a good opportunity to shoot a new promo video for them with some 120 fps footage of jolly people with jolly music, hope the recordings and video turn out well.

Also I just saw the anime movie Redline for the first time. Sooooo awesome. It reminded me how amazing and awesome anime can be. I'm feeling the urge to dive back into anime after a decent break. My hay day was late 90s/early 200s

That was funny, but no, it was Kyle's dumb "yeeess" bit that led him to losing his mind for a couple of minutes. First time I saw it, I was laughing harder than Kyle was. I am a sucker for stupid shit like that, but really did not expect to burst into laughter while editing it. (and I rarely ever laugh out loud while I'm alone, even when I see something really funny)

Also, as a side note, I am always amazed at just how Kyle manages to play Tetris while doing bits and reading comments at the same time and what not, but this was just ridiculous. If I burst out into laughter like that, everything basically stops, but he kept on playing, and his run didn't end. He was playing better Tetris in that state, than I do without any distractions.

I used to play Smackdown games with my fellow wrestling games fans relatives. When HCTP came out my cousins saw us play Royal Rumble and wanted to jump in. Afterwards everytime they came over they asked to play Royal Rumble and we would pass the controllers around with every elimination. It was great fun.

Smackdown are fun games indeed. Although I haven't played one in years and I didn't play a lot of the last one I bought, I have spent a LOT of time playing "WWF SmackDown! Just Bring It" with a friend back in the day.

I didn't vote for it however as it takes some time before you get used to the controls and I can imagine people getting frustrated by the game because of this. They are quite complicated games and I have tried to play it with other friends and most of them just got tired of getting beat because they didn't know the moves (I have to admit that the fact that wrestling isn't big in Belgium was probably not helping).

If everybody knows how to play, it will be great and if not, I hope they all have to figure it out. I don't think it will be an interesting match if one or two of them know the game and the others don't.

That said, if it's one of the top 3 voted games, I am fine with it (I voted for Mario Kart as I am not the biggest Mario Party fan).
