+ Bonus points for using a multi-syllable SAT word.
- Lost all credit for not knowing what that word means.

Shouldn't that be "too dim to realize he's complimenting me"? You don't need that "not" there. Making fun of someone's grammatical error with your own grammatical error?

The first one is not a grammatical error. There's a difference between not structuring sentences correctly and using words you don't understand.

My goodness. Somebody just reported Nunes STILL has not given the evidence he took to the White House to the actual investigating committee.

Lengthy standing ovation from the Freedom Caucus when @POTUS walked into the Cabinet Room just now. Big momentum toward #RepealAndReplace.

This is fucking happening.

Standing and clapping for POTUS when he enters a room seems pretty typical standard operating procedure. There was a lengthy standing ovation when Trump met with the entire House Republican conference and yet more Rs ended up leaning against rather than for the bill afterward.

"I asked Rep. Cheney what she thought of Essential Health Benefita. 'I wouldn't want to lose access to mg prostate exams" she snarked.

These people are just heartless. They have all of the health insurance coverage they need paid for by US citizens and the old ones have Medicare, and yet they are perfectly content gutting health insurance for the rest of us because a bunch racist temporarily embarrased millionaries.

Don't thinking standing and clapping for the POTUS is indicative of anything.

Ovation as he walks in doesn't mean much, if that's what happened

Folks really need to stop admitting defeat and/or claiming victory based solely on anecdotal tweets ><

called my local congresscritter (will Hurd - tx 23) and they are fence sitting harrrrrd. talked to his staff and urged him to vote no and asked what theyre stance is on the FC proposal to strip out EHB's from the AHCA - they indicated pretty strongly that such a move would be bad, that they and the FC dont get along and dont believe in that type of governance.

This really should have been a triumphant moment for Republicans. They should party planning right now, not shuffling around Capitol Hill trying to pick up a handful of votes. It's incredible how badly they fucked this up.

Thanks to you and everyone else who's calling. I'm fortunate to have representation that would die before voting yes on this thing but I email him regularly anyway.

Calling it his legislation is a stretch to begin with.
*Shrugs.* Trump clearly wants to own it, despite it being Ryan's baby. If that's his choice, I ain't going to stand in his way. The House itself will deal with Ryan over this; let the media deal with Trump for attaching himself so firmly to it.

I stand by my prediction.

We will follow the drama ALL DAY and into the night, only for Ryan to "delay" the vote. There is speculation Ryan will allow a vote so that Members are put on the record, but that would be an admittance of failure on the Speaker's part, and frankly I don't see that happening.

I think he'll lose even more votes if he puts something up everyone knows isn't going to pass. At that point your meaninglessly putting your name on record as having voted for this shit. The campaign ads write themselves.

I am still having a hard time understanding the arbitrary deadline the GOP has imposed on itself. There is the benefit of pressuring members to vote and using strongman methods to get them to yes, but what is the point if you lose all your credibility and jeopardize your entire legislative agenda in the process?

As a Democrat concerned about preserving President Obama's agenda, I am thrilled they are so disorganized, but it is perplexing from a political perspective.

Wouldn't be surprised if this ends with a HFC speaker. If it fails Ryan wouldn't be able to live it down.
What I see happening is Ryan staying on as speaker but being effectively neutered; HFC would be running the show.

Failing that, Ryan steps down and we just straight up don't get a Speaker for the next year and a half because literally nobody is going to be that sacrificial lamb.

They have to pass all reconciliation measures by April 15th, and they still have an entire tax overhaul (that also relies on this law being passed apparently), so their time is extremely tight.

It's the Byrd rule. They can't do their tax cuts without creating savings somewhere else in the budget, which the AHCA does by kicking everyone off Medicaid through attrition.

Edit:loooooool. It's dead, Jim. And with it their entire agenda. These motherfuckers are USELESS

This is true, and it's still too early to tell, but I wonder if "deal maker Trump", who we know is ideologically fluid, will still feel like his best strategy was using the budget reconciliation process to enact his biggest legislative priorities.
