Actually, if Playtonic is listening, I have a very important message.
I'm really, really sorry if I've ever mispelt your company name as Playtronic. I'm trying to catch myself when I do it but I'm sure I must have slipped up a few times. I know you're trying to manage your brand and that probably isn't helping.

Sassy on Twitter is in these days. Wendy and Arby's social media game is on point.
Rare is also a company that deliberately mocks and antagonizes its fans within their own games (something that's part of their charm), but something tells me most of the people angry at Playtonic weren't big into Rare games to begin with.
Social media is truly the meeting of the minds that such a topic deserves.

They're not legally owed a refund since they're getting the product and rewards advertised on the Kickstarter, and it actually costs Playtonic money to give full refunds at this point, so I doubt it.

I did tweet out to the devs just asking them for a comment, they didn't respond or like or whatever, but maybe they checked it without acknowledging?
If I and a few other GAFers were the cause of this decision, I'm ok with it.

Okay reading through some of the Twitter posts, when did JonTron become a saint and a martyr in the eyes of the public??? Remove him and suddenly Playtonic is the big bad company that doesn't respect their actor's views and they treat their customers horribly.

I'm aware it's not a particularly smart response. But In regards to people spamming them with black crime statistics, calling Playtonic white supremacists and sending photoshops of Yooka's antagonist to the ADL. I'd say it was a premium hilarity response.
The kickstarter money was spent developing the game. They are withdrawing from the budget of a complete game. I don't think Playtonic is obligated to conjure this cash up.

It's really surprising that this is an 80 pages thread. It seems like a no brainer: youtuber makes comments that no brand want to be associated with, gets dropped from small role as a voice actor, everyone moves on.

Ex-Gamergaters wanted a new cause celebre to hitch their shitty wagon onto so they chose this. Nobody actually cares about Jon's dumb voice not being included, they just want a reason to complain about SJWs ruining their video games.
Coupled with the recent PDP garbage and the consistently garbage Colin Moriarty, it's like a "ethics in games" renaissance up in here.

I mean, Jon freaking loved Rare's games. I'm a little puzzled by the idea that because these guys are scumbags they can't have been fans of Rare and their previous works. Bigots can totally have decent taste in games, which is why the community unfortunately seems more and more infested with them.
