What's funny is, before Orlandu's banner almost everyone said they won't pull as his banner is trash and it's not worth chasing 5* bases.
Yet here we are, everyone and their grandma pulled for Orlandu.

Right?? I even said the conservatives would be the first to pull. Orlandu fever is real. It is funny how everyone was like "hell no trash banner". I was like i'm pulling for my Orlandu. I wake up Friday morning and my friend list is filled with Orlandu. LOL
So far so good on banner. Got katana, sword, all tickets, the 30k moogle. Saving up for the 6* mats to replace ones I've used for Y'shtola, Minfilia, and husbando (aka Orlandu). Bought all the big stuff already so just smooth sailing to lower end stuff.

Well, they aren't mutually exclusive things...
It'll be interesting to see who also goes in for Aileen and Tidus. I think it'll only be the big spenders from this thread and the rest of us will "settle" for Orlandeau.

Well, then there comes an interesting question. Now that Orlandu-mania has hit, and some of us burned all of our tickets for him...
I burned all 84 I had before doing the 10+1 pull with him in it
To be honest, I'm starting with this events tickets as my starting point again... but I'm not sure what my next target should be.

I'm just saying, that the ones who've said they're not pulling for this supposedly trash banner were pulling on the first day instead.
There's quite a number here on gaf who've said this.
The only ones I remember who are adamant in pulling for Orlandu are Zera and Val, no matter what it takes. And me to a lesser extent, since I'd stop pulling after $500 with or without Orlandu.
Wow... I actually feel bad... sorta? I just blew 260 orbs I'd been saving forever just 2 or 3 nights ago >.>; Oh well, I got some monster pulls... just have to level them now.

Can I max out the taps and if so will switch control let me know I maxed out my taps?
I wish switch control had a feature so we just needed to press the screen once and choose infinite loop. So the press just continues infinitely

Why cant a 800+atk orlandu solo the event? I can solo it with olive or gilgamesh

I'll probably do a couple of 11s for Eileen. But otherwise it'll just be dailies and tickets for some time for me. I didn't do any 11s on this banner so I still have 57k lapis, but I'm not really willing to spend anymore on this game so I don't plan to blow it all on anything.
I can do it with 800 Orlandu but I need to use Imperial, Attack Song, and Deprotect first.

Thanks for the endless Orlandeau friends, ExviGAF! The constant motivation to keep trying out new strategies paid dividends. After someone mentioned Minfilia's Flame Guard I was finally able to build a team to take down ELT Ifrit. It was incredibly satisfying. ^_^
- Turn 1 = Get Mitigation up
Minfilia - Flame Guard
Ling - Daunting Step
Cecil - Focus
Refia - Embolden
Noctis - Warp Break
Orlandeau - Crush Weapon
Minfilia, Ling, Refia and Orlandeau are all immune to Paralyze, while Noctis and Cecil have Jeweled Rings.
- Battle Roles
Minfilia - Keep party protected via Flame Guard (3-turn) / Assault Order (5-turn) / Guard Order (5-turn) and use Call to Attack on Orlandeau during off turns
Cecil - Provoke / Guard
Refia - DC Curaja
Noctis - Warp Break

I can pretty much (boost off Solei) solo it with my 650 ATK one. I use Diabolos for Demon Killer though, so that may be the difference?
Lol no way. I've decided I would try hard for Orlandu as early as Lightning's banner and I've mentioned a few times that I'm willing to spend as much as 500 just to get him. He is my favorite character in my favorite ff game.
Admittedly, I felt a bit nervous as the banner get closer and closer lol.
Gratz! I haven't been able to manage yet as Minfilia and Y'shtola aren't levelled due to using Cactuars on TGC. Nice work though

I will try with diablo. You use which attack to chain with the other soleils?
First Demon is Lightning Stab due to holy resistance, after that I use DR with Boost and the other units are all Solei that just auto attack. Any half decent friend (350+) helps finish 1st and last Demon as they're the only ones that survive a solo DR from him

I just did this for the first time. I get them to chain with other units but I can't for the love of god keep the chain going with Olive.
Congratz! Having him as my first* 5-star attacker really knocked my team up a fair few notches, so hopefully he'll do the same for you!
(My first 5* was Emp whilst pulling for Orlandu, but he really wasn't an improvement for my team at all)

OK I'm starting to get this Orlandu chaining. I can now two turn ifrit ELT but it gives me two chain sequences. I need to work on this a little more.
