Unpopular opinion here, but I think Nakamura vs Roman could be the great match. Say want you to want about Roman but he doesn't mind working the stiff match or taking bumps. It can be a really hard-hitting match.

It'd be a good match but you know Nak would just end up buried :(

God I've love to see/hear modern WWE spin the "die, Rocky die" chants.

Don't fuck with India. They still believe it's real
This is something I've noticed over the years, I kind of envy those who do.
I made a short MV of their only prior match, from the 2013 G1;

Great match, only 9 minutes long though! Something tells me Shibata'll give Okada a tougher fight this time around...

Honestly, I have gotten to the point where I don't care about the storyline or who gets buried. WWE has like one great storyline a year, they always run it into the ground anyway. Just give me great matches and I'll stay subbed to the network.

There better options for that, hombre

Let me tell about the real hero archive.

I wish everyone still believed that shit. I know onw guy told me that in PR you have guys in their 50s who still believe it's real. That's awesome.

Indian fans fleeing in terror from a rampaging Scott Steiner is legitimately one of my favourite things in wrestling. Wrestling needs to take itself to more crazy-ass places that have little to no experience of pro-wrestling. Myanmar. Vanuatu. Bhutan. Canada.

You're Mr Lariato? o_O

Yeah, I try not to cross the streams too often though - WrassleGAF's where I get to say dumb shit without it turning into a big fight on twitter :p

I was begging for a "Die, Roman, die" chant on Monday.

British Monsoon, aka Bootaaay, aka Boots, aka Senor Lariato, aka Mr. Lariato.

I'm going to follow in the footsteps of my idol Well It's The Big Show and never retire.

Rumor is he retired after WrestleMania, so.

I don't know anything about Nakamura's work in japan.

Did he win a lot? Did it take time to build up his character?

I know folks are kind of panicking that he will end up in mid-card hell.

oh are they giving Shibata a main even push finally?

He was the youngest IWGP champ of all time, he basically Japanese Randy Orton but x 10 better. He was a big star and draw there.

He debuted as the 'super rookie' of NJPW, skipped the usual young lion stuff and started getting pushed almost immediately - it kinda worked, it kinda didn't, but ultimately he wasn't as popular as Tanahashi. Then he went to Mexico, figured out that whole personality thing and came back as the King of Strong Style, which was a huge change from his stoic super rookie character and made him arguably the most popular guy on the roster.

Well, he's got the title match with Okada - whether he wins or not is another question.

Nah, but it's okay that you are wrong. Merch sales and ratings are a thing that exist, so WWE can have value added to their wrestlers.
Well no one in the company outside of the part timers are draws and no one really sells that much merch outside of Cena and to lesser extent Roman.

Rookie Nak was shit and had a shit finish (Shining Triangle, AKA you're kneeling and he just teabags you, huh) just like Rookie Okada was shit, including when he re-debuted against Yoshi-Hashi and looked like a fuckin' goon

Okada is a perfect example of what happens when you spend a ton of money on hairstylists and plastic surgery and dentists and agh

We're staying until late at work today, so I went ahead and asked some folks to get pizza for the team, I let them choose whatever they want. They chose something with pineapple on top. I've learned my lesson and I will never allow this to happen again. EVER.

I remember Nakamura showing up at a K-1 event and talking trash to Bob Sapp I think, saying how wrestling is the superior sport. I didn't know who he was at the time but it was pretty funny.

New Day sells merch. Kevin Owens used to sell a lot of merch. It goes in cycles, but when attending WWE shows, you'll notice what is current trend. It's true Cena and Roman are the top, but the mid-range guys will creep up to the top when they have decent programs going on and merch to go along with it.

I haven't kept up on the merch sales since New Day began being liked by the fans.

It's funny that the regulars in here largely don't care. It's the people in the OT wrestling threads who seem to.

I do get a bit pissed off when some people openly discuss the NXT taping spoilers. They'll have spoiler bars for a page, then suddenly it's fair game.

For instance, I knew for nearly a month about the Drifter/Kassius match result because of here, and that only aired last week.
