I have no idea how I missed last weeks ep. If it wasn't for the preview from yesterdays, I'd be wondering what the hell happened for the first few mins lol.

My god. The new ship upgrade is fucking awesome

Is the blink drive superior to star trek/ star wars technology?

So the stuff the other Kal Varrick said was very illuminating in regards to what is going on with the Android and probably what might be happening with Portia.

Particularly with these last couple of episodes Dark Matter has really turned around for me. Season 1 felt really cheesy and I was only really watching it (and Killjoys) because I wanted a sci-fi fix and the Firefly subreddit recommended them. But Dark Matter nonchalantly killing off characters (I was so happy when One was dead, proper dead as was his original face guy) and raising the steaks in the sci-fi department with alternate universes is really tickling my brain. I'm excited for each episode, I'm genuinely interested and the cheese has gone way down to bearable and enjoyable levels.

Dark Matter has really taken a huge turn for the better this season. I think yesterday's episode was my favourite. The Android is by far the most interesting character and I'm enjoying the way they're handling her.

Awesome to hear about the renewal!

This season has been great, aside from that mind link ep or whatever from last month.

It (mostly) looks cheap, the acting is average at best, but damn if this isn't one of my favourite shows on TV.

This & Killjoys remind me of classic TV SF like Blake's 7.

The Blink Drive upgrade, Nano tech, The android developing human traits

It feels like I'm really watching a Sci-Fi tv series with rpg elements lol

The alt-universe Boone and Portia told him everything he needed to know. They told him he took the throne with their help using the blink drive and he kept his brother alive but it was a big mistake and so he had to kill him later anyways.

This episode was really good. Did not expect
him to kill his brother as well. I've always found Four to be the most boring character but it would be a nice twist making him a bad guy. I hope they don't retcon it and have him lose his memories again but I definitely think it's over between him and Nyx.

At first I didn't understand how the Seers could be wrong, but then I realized they saw the future of that universe. Ishida was planning on following the course of events that took place in the other one. But it still begs the question why they didn't know.

Holy shit that was some amazing stuff, definitely vaults Dark Matter over Killjoys in this season for me, barring a terrible finale.

Sci fi shows are heavily defined by their antagonist, DM has been sort of lacking a good one (shut up, Wesley!) for a while now and "evil corporations" isn't really good enough. Ishido as the villain for next season would be absolutely fantastic.

There were also hints of a bigger arc, like two mentioning that something big is coming. The black goo seemed alien in nature, I wonder if we'll get a hint of something in the finale or will it be saved for next season.

I've pretty much marathoned DM over the last week or so and am now up to date.

At first it was a very poorly acted, dumb, but still enjoyable show. Very quickly I've really come to like the characters and it's at least fooling me into thinking there's actually some real smart plot-writing in the background here. They feel like a real crew and their characters act as they should, rather than like most TV shows where they act a certain way for the sake of the convenience of the plot. The world is getting more interesting too. 4 was consistently the weakest of the characters (Space-Japan-land just feels so off too), but actually at the same time, the most consistent of the characters. That brutal ending fits into everything he has been so far.

I can always spot the quality TV show when the episodes leading up to the season finale could easily be used as season endings as well.

I don't see what's wrong with that line. From what I remember she was passing the comment from the police

You elude capture, which was actually said by another actor later on. Eluding escape would mean the opposite, that they had failed to escape and been caught.

Decent finale but I hate the put everyone in their own individual peril cliff hanger. They used to do that shit all the time when they were writing Stargate too.

I was about to say, that felt soooo much like a Stargate season finale. It wasn't bad, although it didn't really feel like any complicated planning was really going on, just a bunch of shit going down at coincidentally the same time.

"What do you mean you were going to blow up the station? ha ha ha, I was going to blow up the station too! Wait, you too? How crazy is that!"

RIP Inspector Clouseau, you were a good foil for the team but your detective skills were not Batman tier sadly.

They're going a bit OTT with the deaths and side-lining (assuming Nyx is also dead). Ryo pigeon-holed as a villain rather than just an alternative protagonist view. That Chief Inspector was the best antagonist the show has had. What exactly have they gained with any of these deaths? Shock value and no plot armour really don't add much.

I really like Nyx but every episode I kept waiting to see how they would kill her off, her character just has that vibe. Did they ever address the death of the addict guy who was killed by the guys looking for her?

Nope, even the Seers (who talk to much) didn't even bring it up.

If Nyx is dead dead, then I guess that will be the thing to bring four back. Four being a bad guy seems weird.

Could also push him away even further, He did Say Raza crew would not fully accept Nyx, if That Royal guard lady plays it right she could spin it.

I hope a full investigation is launched and the real culprits go to space jail - space architects who design reactors that can blow up the entire station with a few swipes of a touch screen.

I guess it would be appropriate that a corporate war would be started by some majorly lax corner cutting measures in construction to maximize their bottom line.

Holy shit what a finale. Not liking the cliffhanger ending, but how things turned out, S3 could be real meety.

I really hate how 4 have become. and that inspector RIP...... not really, since he was too arrogant to actually listen to advices.

Full on war Galactic cooperation will happen. Without the blink drive, it will be interesting to see how the Raza fair in these hard times.

Looking forward to S3

No the best line was

"His closing argument could have gone better"

After failing to kill the woman.

Just watched the finale now, simply amazing. The best pure fun sci-film show around today. More people need to watch this show and can't wait for season 3. Man I did not see that end coming at all. Brutal.
