Got bitten by a puppy. What should I do?

I'm going to get a check-up now. If it turns out that everything is fine then at least I made everybody laugh.

There is no 'if'. You are fine. I'm not saying this to be mean or anything, but, you are seriously being ridiculous if this is a serious thread and you are seriously concerned. The dog doesn't have rabies. You cleaned it. You're good.

The best part is that you're going to a vet. lol
I already went to a neighbor vet. He said that I need to go to a doctor since the history of the puppy and it's mother are unknown to us.

Puppy couldn't be two weeks old and do any damage.
Correction was made a page ago and it's a month old. The dog is not mine so the age I said first was wrong. I talked to the owner and he corrected me.

I'm sure the doctor will laugh too

Rabies is serious business in our country. The article in one of the earlier posts states that in the US the cases for human rabies are 2 per year since hawaii and the states are mostly rabies free. In my country there are over a thousand cases per year. So no, they will not laugh it off.

Or maybe they'll see a cash cow and play along.
Nope. I have medical insurance so everything is completely free. That's why it's no big deal for me to go to the doctors. Money is no problem. Time is.

You have insurance but you don't know what insurance is?

In China, men will usually have a long pinky not for coke, but actually to show people that they are not a farmer as you couldn't be a farmer and work a field with a super long pinky. At first I thought people were lying to me about their coke habits but I heard that from more than one source.

I've heard conflicting things about why, but yes I work with people from China a lot (as a mathematician) who have the long pinky nail.

Simple question.

Does the dog exhibit symptoms of rabies prior to nibbling you?

And how can you not know where the 2 week puppy comes from? Is it picked up from the street? (sorry if you explained this)

The fact is I don't know if it's rabies or another sickness or if the puppy is just teeting. Basically this is what I observed before I got bitten:

Muscle spasms a little while sleeping.
Curiously wanting to bite everyone.
Vomitting( I only saw this today).
She likes to sleep under couches( i don't know if this constitutes as being sensitive to light)

I'm trying to see of she can drink water normally.

My friend got this dog from someone else after that person's dog gave birth. Then my friend stayed with us a week ago until now. I learned that the puppy was a month old. That leaves 3 weeks where I don't know what happened.

Not exactly an insurance but said that since that is the most common in the west. To be specific I have a medical card that entitles me to free expenses on any hospital or doctor's check up no matter what the cost.

Sigh. I don't want to get laughed and humiliated but here's the wound. Sigh. Gaf sometimes makes me believe I'm ignorant to the world. Well at least I'm not that paranoid anymore. I will still go see the vet though since it's just a few steps away.

Sounds more like you got bit by a vampire, op. Be careful out there!

That's all normal puppy behaviour. But it's been taken many many weeks too early from the mom and might develop a lot of problems due to it. Also, what it gets to eat is extremely important. It's probably puking because it has an upset tummy due to not getting proper puppy food (which would be, you know, mother's milk).

Philippines eh? Is this a wild dog (serigala) or a normal tamed dog? If it's wild, just go do a check up if you worry too much to be sure. If normal, don't worry about this. I see quite a bit of wild dog where I use to live and for the most part, if you don't anything stupid to them, they won't disturb you for the most part and will be your best friend if you give them food (but that mean it's friend will come to you for food also so...be worry).

Jesus man this is all puppy behavior, my 10 week old is doing the exact same things minus the vomit. The dog is teething and will probably accidentally shed some blood when they play a little rough. That laceration doesn't even call for a bandaid after you cleaned it.

To me, this sounds like normal puppy behavior. From the photo I saw, the puppy seems to be in an okay state.
But if it makes you feel better, then you should do what makes you feel better. If that includes taking a visit to the doctor, then you should.
I do think it's a good idea to find out about the puppy's parents. Always good to know just in case.

My puppy is currently 10 months old, a german shepherd. He bit me all the time, very mouthy when he was younger. I have a couple of small scars for when the biting got excessive but nothing too extreme. I haven't had any reactions from the bites, and seeing your photo of where you were bit. I say you are probably safe.
But you can always get it checked out, to make sure.
Like they say "better to be safe, then sorry"

The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Dr. Pavel here. But only one of you!
This is some of the most shameful shit I seen in my whole life

I'm shocked the vet said to go to a human doctor.

I went there to inquire if a puppy like the earlier posts said could have rabies. It was easy since their house is like 20 meters aways from home. He said it was fine at first but when he knew that I didn't know what the family history of the dog and that it was roaming around with the stray cats. He said to get a vaccine just to be sure. I'm more inclined to believe him as well as he is my uncle so I tolerated the laughing in this thread.

Uh what's with the condescension in this thread? The danger of rabies is basically zero but dog bites still regularly cause infections and require antibiotics.
1) The odds that a puppy contracted rabies in its month in the world are very low.

2) The odds that someone is giving away puppies that are infected with rabies is also very low.

That sounds like a normal ass puppy that is teething, good lord dude.

Trying to think of a good joke but honestly I can't come up with anything funnier than the genuine fear that OP feels toward puppy nibbles.

When I saw the thread title I figured it was someone super overreacting to a nothingburger and just ignored it. Then it kept popping back up, so I decided to see what the fuss was about.

Even better than I could have guessed.

Hahaha, same here. Been ignoring it for so long and finally had to take a look. I didn't know if I'd find people ragging on OP for 5 pages straight or if they were actually still in panic mode.
