Some of you guys are gonna die when you hear about the control scheme/gameplay mechanics.

The fuck?
So the only new characters in this trailer were Ultron-Sigma and Sigma? The two that people have been guessing ever since the silhouette reveal? Huh.
I'm personally in the whynotboth camp, but it's logical for people to want "new" content/characters over rehashed ones from the last game they bought. Why the fuck would anybody not want characters to return?
I never will understand this mentality, which is rampant on smash bros threads.
What kind of person sees a new game announced and immediately thinks "Oh golly! i sure hope they cut content from the last game!"
???
i played a little bit of mvc3 on Ps3 and I enjoyed it but, okay fine they're gonna reuse assets reuse the goddamn assets but does that entail not using a new graphics engine too? if you use old assets you can't use a new engine?
Fireball motions aren't that complicated, so I wouldn't worry.
I think it makes sense to take out stuff like quarter circles or d-pad drawing in general given the presumed target audience.
Rising Thunder and smash both had the right idea if you really want to make a fighting game accessible. For Honor's control scheme worked there too.
DON'T YOU PUT THAT EVIL ON MEAre the characters gonna trip too?
This is nowhere near as ugly as Kof14 at launch. You dudes are getting way too hyperbolic.https://www.eventhubs.com/imagegallery/2017/apr/25/marvel-vs-capcom-infinite-gameplay-screenshots/5/

Yeah it looks like a sharper early ps3 title.
This title is super budget. Like kof14 level.
For comparison:
Was it really that hard to press d+normals to discover the launcher?
I'm accepting the S button but I'll complain the whole time dammit!
The trailer got me hyped, but seriously, pre-order to get 6 DLC characters?
pressing buttons and holding up on an analog stick is becoming more and more complicated for a generation of kids growing up with touch controls
Avengers v Capcom: Infinite.
Pretty great stuff though announcing 6 DLC characters off the bat is not going to go over well.
It's the backgrounds. Most of them outside of the Asgard Highway are ugly and low detailed as sin at the moment.
No thanks on removing DP or Quarter Circle motions. Please don't Capcom.
The controls are what makes me hate smash/melee so much.
Rising Thunder is good for Rising thunder, changing the controls that drastically is going to loose you your longtime fans.

Yes!oh my god no

Ultron-Sigma isn't the character - Ultron is standalone. Sigma is DLC Batch 1, and all of the initial 6 DLC characters are brand new to the MvC series.
You'll get more character reveals in about 6 weeks.

As a side note, I updated the title to reflect that these are the 2017 DLC characters, implying there are 2018 (or even beyond) DLC characters.
I'm speculating based on what Ryce is saying and what Capcom has kind of gotten at recently.
I could see them trying something new due to how Street Fighter V went over, or if they viewed Street Fighter V as their more core oriented product.

Not sure why they would need to when they could just make an 'easy automatic' control scheme for those that want lower execution.
They used to have something like that in the older games iirc.
I want all them to return. Except Phoenix, fuck Phoenix and fuck Phoenix players.
I'm glad the assists are gone.
Persona Arena was dope so I don't get the hate.
