Avengers v Capcom: Infinite.

Pretty great stuff though announcing 6 DLC characters off the bat is not going to go over well.

So the only new characters in this trailer were Ultron-Sigma and Sigma? The two that people have been guessing ever since the silhouette reveal? Huh.

Ultron-Sigma isn't the character - Ultron is standalone. Sigma is DLC Batch 1, and all of the initial 6 DLC characters are brand new to the MvC series.

You'll get more character reveals in about 6 weeks.

Why the fuck would anybody not want characters to return?

I never will understand this mentality, which is rampant on smash bros threads.

What kind of person sees a new game announced and immediately thinks "Oh golly! i sure hope they cut content from the last game!"
I'm personally in the whynotboth camp, but it's logical for people to want "new" content/characters over rehashed ones from the last game they bought.

Can't watch the clip right now but all the comments on the artsyle are worrying.

???

i played a little bit of mvc3 on Ps3 and I enjoyed it but, okay fine they're gonna reuse assets reuse the goddamn assets but does that entail not using a new graphics engine too? if you use old assets you can't use a new engine?

Someone correct me if im wrong, but wasn't MVC3 done in Capcom's propietary Framework engine and this new game is Unreal 4?

I think it makes sense to take out stuff like quarter circles or d-pad drawing in general given the presumed target audience.

Rising Thunder and smash both had the right idea if you really want to make a fighting game accessible. For Honor's control scheme worked there too.

No thanks on removing DP or Quarter Circle motions. Please don't Capcom.

The only thing that could completely kill my hype is if they made this on some fantasy strike shit.

If specials ever become one botton, that's the day I'm hanging up the Mahvel headband.

NRS announced 9 DLC characters right off the bat. It's not even 'right off the bat' - MvC:I was announced in December 2016. And the DLC is part of the deluxe edition, which they announced today as a part of the start of the marketing push for the game until it releases. This is pretty basic stuff here - nothing out of the ordinary for the triple-A gaming business.

As a side note, I updated the title to reflect that the season pass is for the 2017 DLC characters, implying there are 2018 (or even beyond) DLC characters.

The controls are what makes me hate smash/melee so much.

Rising Thunder is good for Rising thunder, changing the controls that drastically is going to loose you your longtime fans.

I'm speculating based on what Ryce is saying and what Capcom has kind of gotten at recently.

I could see them trying something new due to how Street Fighter V went over, or if they viewed Street Fighter V as their more core oriented product.

The trailer got me hyped, but seriously, pre-order to get 6 DLC characters?

no, its the DE edition that comes with the DLC chars, aka with the season pass.

like every game in 2017.

Ah, I see. I misinterpreted the trailer. Also nice to know that the DLC characters won't be reused assets. Thanks!

Not sure why they would need to when they could just make an 'easy automatic' control scheme for those that want lower execution.

They used to have something like that in the older games iirc.

I want all them to return. Except Phoenix, fuck Phoenix and fuck Phoenix players.

To be fair, they said the same thing for MVC3. Additionally, Marvel games have always been easier to get into on a casual side of things. You can mash your face on the controller for combos as opposed to SF's tighter requirements.

You guys see negatives, me?

Yo we already got 6 new characters on deck?!?

I'm hype as fuck! Back in the day when a fighter dropped you got what you got and better hope there are some secret characters.

Here we are already going to expand the roster? That's legit as fuck man.

Asura? Gene? V-joe? The spot? Doc oc? Cable? Hayato? Jin Stome? Samanosuke?

Guys get fucking hyyyyyyype.

Where is that megaman.exe skin?

Can capcom's statement be a hint of the new marvel tho?

MVC3 was much more easier to play than SF4 or SF5, sure the PVP cieling was much more harsher, but for example, anybody can combo in MVC3, real combos in SF games require much more skill and precision.
