Honestly speaking, how do you own a PS4/Xbox1 and not have a laptop or something can at least run hots? It's not the most testing PC game out there or anything.
That being said OW should certainly add old event unlocks in the default pile, or have them available the following year or something at the same time. I'm sure more recent players have missed a ton.

I think people think it's as demanding as some of Blizzard's other games. But HOTS was made for the lowest end of PCs and will run fine.

TFW you play on off meta and win so many more matches than when you play meta.
cuz people aren't used to dealing with off meta heroes. that's why they work.

Since the change to matchmaking, I've been losing 30+ (at least) each loss and winning only 15-20SR for each win, for evenly matched teams I mean.
Is that normal ?
It feels really awful to have to win much more games to climb, that kills the excitement of competitive for me...

and then 3 weeks of people saying playing against real players is even worse because the matches are longer?
Well, you might be doing well with both the meta and off meta heroes but players who are used to countering the meta heroes will just do better against you when you play them. I wouldn't say you were any worse with the meta heroes.

I think it usually is due to people not putting pressure in their back for achieving a near perfect execution when they play heroes they consider themselves to be good at.

from what my friends who did the old genji challenge said real games are actually quicker because the ai just tries to survive as long as possible

No, I gain or lose ~25. Last time I played, I went 2-2 and ended at the same SR I started at.
No, the easiest AI just runs into the enemy team, you can basically push a lane to the core as 5 on the first try. On quick match, assuming you're against equally inexperienced people, it's definitely gonna last quite some time since it'll just be 1v1s with no team fights with nobody doing the objective, no idea when to push as a group and capitalize, people randomly taking camps on their own, etc. They can't last too long, though. Once a lane is clear until the core, catapults spawn and they'll eventually take down the core, if left unattended.
That's frustrating, I have no idea why I keep getting this problem. :-/

Same, I've actually been gaining 2-3 SR after a trend of winning and losing right afterwards.
A few people have been complaining about it. Usually you experience it when you are at your highest sr.
Personally I gain 25-30 and lose 20-25. Had one game where I gained 15 but I may have played badly. I don't remember.

i got the flex bundle so the only OW hero I have is tracer :/

The SR gain-loss is actually fairly balanced now, you can almost never lose more than you gain and viceversa. I think you obviously have to be above 50% to have any significant SR gain.

This is about right for me too. One thing I did notice is when I do drastic role changes (Zarya to Mercy for example), I tend to have pretty terrible gains, probably because my stats end up being shit compared to everyone else (I lose most gold/silver medals).

Pretty much. I'm going to switch between Zarya and Lucio for my HOTS grind, as their skill sets basically translate from Overwatch to this game.
Feels like Blizzard thinks you are ranked too high and are trying to adjust you.

Did you won, because I have totally won a few of those that seem are a guaranteed loss somehow. Teams get cocky and they go into tilt mode pretty quickly.

You can also play on IA, get the 5 games doesnt matter if you lose and go away, I am only interested on Dva Skin so week 2 right?
