Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Thread: Everyone wants it, no one uses it

The Black Ops 2 copy I bought from the UK came with a 2-day Xbox Live trial l code that actually was unused and still worked, how cool is that?

Well, I bought used Tony Hawk's Project 8 (game from 2006!) few weeks ago for 360 with unused 2-day Live trial and... it worked! I think that these codes do not have an expire date at all. I've played whole Ryse on XB1 from GWG thanks to this code :)

On topic, has anybody played Army of Two via BC? How does it work on XB1? Is framerate improved?

The last match had a dude who was very good, but had extreme lag. You could see it in the way he teleported around, and his kill cams were hilarious. I don't understand how playing like this was a fun experience for the guy, but I kind of admire him for getting in a considerable amount of kills.

The lag wouldn't have affected him, the game would play just fine to all intents and purposes for him, just mess it up for everybody else.

Capcom has actually been delivering. Using this link as a reference, I count 14 titles total, several of which I own and break out occasionally.

  1. Age of Booty
  2. Bionic Commando Rearmed 2
  3. Capcom Arcade Cabinet
  4. Dark Void
  5. de Blob 2
  6. Dead Rising 2: Case West
  7. Dead Rising 2: Case Zero
  8. Ducktales Remastered
  9. Dungons and Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara
  10. Final Fight: Double Impact
  11. Flock!
  12. Mega Man 9
  13. Mega Man 10
  14. Street Fighter IV

Isn't de Blob 2 THQ?

"Microsoft has announced that Xbox Live on Xbox 360, and the backwards compatibility service on Xbox One, will be taken offline for maintenance."

https://www.vg247.com/2017/04/26/xbox-one-backwards-compatibility-service-will-go-down-tomorrow-for-maintenance/

I was just thinking that maybe they might not have any announcements for tomorrow

Is that the first time XBL has been took down for maintenance? They usually do it behind the scenes, weird that they're taking it off completely?

If so, makes me think they're prepping something huge under the hood just before E3.

Whatever you do, don't think that they are emulating original xbox live.

STOP THINKING THAT

I'm pretty much only waiting for Splinter Cell Blacklist and the original NFS Most Wanted. :/

Everything else is just a nice bonus.

Sorry to bump, but I was wondering... has WarnerBrothers Interactive allowed any game for BC?

I was checking my 360 games and I would love to be able to replay my 360 batman games on the One.

What about offline games?

They are saying that Xbox Live V1 I.e. what you use on 360 will go down.

You aren't using that for Xbox One.

If you are playing a BC game you will not get online status / messages from the built in mini guide as the mini guide will not sign into Xbox Live V1.

All BC games will boot and play as normal, unless the game itself required an online connection.

Does this mean you would not be able to play your BC games, even if using a disc?

No it does not mean that.

No, they occasionally took Xbox Live down for 360 (maybe once every 18 months)

I don't think they need to do that now , as new Xbox Live runs on azure and is perhaps distributed differently across.

Nah I don't think it will be anything like that but not sure what it could be. Just find it strange they took XBL down completely.

If you remember before BC was announced, preview members were getting daily updates on XB1 for like a month and everyone was wondering why.

Don't really know what it could be, if I was to guess maybe doing a huge store update to allow things like refunds, getting games free without payment details, family sharing
this will be announced at E3, believe
, etc for 360 games? But I don't know if all that would warrant taking the whole XBL offline, it's just something I know a lot of people would want and would be a pretty big announcement I think

Or it could be nothing and I'm setting myself up for disappointment :(

They are taking down the OLD Xbox Live. Not the current one that Xbox and W10 runs on.
It's probably just maintainance, just like has happened in the past.

It is not going to make any difference to Xbox One.

Oh it's happened before ? Ignore me then, I've never saw XBL go down for maintenance in the past
