One of the things I enjoyed about the later episodes of smallville is we actually see Clark and friends work as reporters to move episodes forward. It felt like they all had lives outside of being heroes.

It'd all on Hulu.

This is something I think current DC TV misses out on. Allowing the heroes to do their second job. Like how often is Kara actually a reporter? When do we remember Barry is a CSI? I mean the Mayor storyline was one of the better aspects of Arrow this season

This is impossible consider Geoff Johns...

Everyone knows the truth:

So according to Emergency Awesome, he knows the general buzz about Wonder Woman from "trusted" critic friends. TLDR Wonder Woman is
wonderful. Also the movie is "dark but Gal Gadot and the Amazons shine super bright."
I'm not sure if he's regurgitating what we already know but it's interesting none the less.

I just gotta say, I find this guys videos annoying. I saw one, where the title is like "Justice Leage trailer Easter eggs explained!", watched the whole video waiting for it and nothing. Click bait in YouTube form.

Even that video title makes u think he actually saw it and is giving his own review, but instead it's "people I trust say this".

*irrational hate level rising*

With Johns no way it's not Hal and if it's Hal and you have two you need John to balance. If it's neither of them the only other option I personally see is Jessica Cruz to add more diversity and other female hero (which is needed). I want WB to keep the ratio close. This is why I want Supergirl or Power Girl in the next Superman movie if we're getting Batgirl and Nightwing. Guy is just another white male. Kyle is an option but he's another male as is Simon. She's in the comics right now. She's actually an interesting character. There just isn't a lot of her to pull from but there are no preconceived ideas of what she has to be though. You can remake quite easily and pull from other Green Lantern stories and tailor them for her.

I like Hal from both the Reynolds movie (that's right) and the JL movies, so I hope they use him. Stewart is just whatever. Boring

Betamax was Blu Ray before the change. Don't understand the change myself.

Saw GoTG2 today. Enjoyed it but felt the ending dragged out a lot longer then it needed. That and I'm super tired of what they're doing with Drax outside of one very significant scene. I could have used a LOT more of that with him. That said give me Rocket and Groot all day, every day. It's ending was really good though were by comparison the ending of the first film just made me mad and part of why I rarely watch it.

It's a weird thread. Apparently Blu Ray is a failure? I love buying Blu Rays of my favorite movies and the Criterion Blu Rays are ace. I know that streaming stuff and digital formats are a thing but not everything is available on Netflix.

I mean things are moving in the streaming direction. I expect Blu Ray's aren't doing as well as DVD since there are many options now.

But Blu Ray is the preferred medium right now. Most games use them lol.

I still buy Blu Rays for every comic book movie and big epic action movie that I enjoy. The sound and picture quality just can't be matched on the digital streaming services. I guess they're more for the home theatre experience and not while you're sitting on your computer or in bed with an ipad or small tv in your bedroom. I have a 5.1 surround sound set up and a giant plasma to watch movies and it's awesome. I watched the BvS extended cut on VUDU with my dad when I went home to visit last xmas and the quality was just not there. During every night scene the blacks were pixelated and blocky and fast moving action just couldn't keep up all that great.

Until the streaming stuff can pump out uncompressed audio and Blu-Ray quality bit rates, I will continue to buy them.

This is where I fall on the matter too.

Yeah

If you want a movie in its best quality available, you get the Blu-ray.

I.......can't

It's a hell hole, but I need it
/tv/ is better at film discussion than GAF sometimes tbh. Their BvS discussions that pop up every now and then always reveal interesting little nuggets and funny images.

Edit: Damn. Now I want a Wonder Woman anime.

Dead

well not really...yet
Was watching parts of The Dark Knight and BvS today and realised how much better the latter ended up being in regards to the "fantasy based on reality" concept compared to Nolan's trilogy overall.

While Nolan takes the comic concept and tries to force it into a real world mold, which isn't a bad idea, it often stretches the boundaries of credibility to be honest (TDKR in particular with it's risible occupied Gotham act). I much prefer BvS' approach of taking the literal fantasy characters and seeing how they affect our world itself. The world in BvS feels so much more lived in and affected by these characters, unlike Nolan's film where Gotham just feels like a sterile backdrop.

Fuck, the UC of BvS is just on another level conceptually compared to most everything else. Wish the landing stuck more in several areas, but I can't think of many comic flicks that fly as close to the sun as it did.

This is how I feel about Bvs and why I like it so much. Yes I can see the flaws in the movie that everyone does, but Im just able to forgive it. Could have, and should have been, an all time great imo

Also I would kill for a version of that poster with no writing. Would also like an actual poster to frame...
