Jason Kidd murdered my dog in cold blood!
Man, I wanted to keep playing with my PS4 Destiny bros but... PC version sounds better...

Think I am going to upgrade to Pro/4K TV for this, too. Been wanting a new TV. This is a great excuse.

Probably no OLED for me though :(

If you can, do OLED, even if it's a cheaper LG model like the B6. I did a few months back, Horizon was the best looking game I've ever witnessed on a big screen, and I've had good PC hardware my whole life.
edit: I upgraded to a PS4 Pro at the same time

I wanted to stick to PS4. But I'll be damned if playing in 60 FPS isn't enticing.
Don't forget about the exclusives the PS4 version will get though! The PC version does sound very appealing, but if D1 is any indication, the majority of the community will gather around the version with the most "complete" version...

hmmm, Bungie store just went into maintenance. Only noticing because they alerted me to something that was out of stock when I was last there.

Now to just wait for it to go up on Blizzard/Battle.net for digital purchase and get access to the Beta.

Will also be getting it for Xbox but I want to see how it feels initially with M&KB and at 60 FPS.

There is no confirmation of 30fps on Console. Dr Lupo tried to get confirmation but they wouldn't say. https://twitter.com/DrLupoOnTwitch

Replying to @DrLupoOnTwitch

But it looks like 30ish fps on console. You won't see an official statement for a while.

Console stations are on 4K displays. Might be the reason for the 30 fps feel.

Trying to 100% confirm console 30 fps. Hold please.

I guess it looks like it will be fun to do the new content but I was hoping to see some sort shift to make the game more rewarding to sink time into. It looks like it's the same loop of grinding for stuff after exhausting the new missions and gaining new abilities.

With Destiny 1, I always experienced a steep drop-off in incentive to play after you got all the new stuff and finished the new missions. Then it just becomes a matter of weekly refreshes of doing the same thing over and over and over again. I'm not seeing anything to remedy that here yet. Am I being unreasonable to think Destiny fans should expect a little more than that in a sequel?

As a casual PvP player, I'm disappointed in 4v4 matches. A lot of what I found fun was how hectic matches could get. 4v4 makes a lot of sense to me for ranked matches, but give me 6v6 for casual stuff.

Anyone have a clear explanation on the weapon slots? If I took it all in correctly the third slot is basically our current speical & heavy combined and the first two can both be primaries?

Has it been confirmed that the pc version will release at the same time as the console version?

Can't see it anywhere...

Kinetic
Energy
Heavy

You can have two (in d1) primaries, one kinectic one energy, yeah.

I take it as this is the way they'll keep elemental primaries balanced going forward

Yeah, I really liked the chaos that you could cause in 6v6... to a degree. I'm fine with 4v4, but I would have liked a more big-team battle style of matches. If anything, then that means the maps will be a little bit better designed if they're all meant for 4v4. Going to be interesting for sure.

Edit: Stickies should stay one shot kill, but the problem was how you could throw it and be almost guaranteed to hit someone within a 1 mile radius. Seeing that thing veer off and stick to you was maddening.

It looks like you can mod your guns now?

Here's a screen of the character screen. Notice the last perk on that sidearm.

It also looks like Progress has been changed to Records. Artifacts are also still a thing. It also looks like there are 2 more diamonds next to the Dawnsword subclass icon, so more subclasses. Intellect, Discipline and Strength have also been replaced with Armor, Agility and Recovery.
