Good, you make a compelling argument for maybe taking Durant over Lebron if you ignore games played.

But the question wasn't Durant over Lebron, it was Durant and Kawhi over Lebron.

I mean, Kawhi in all likelihood is going to finish ahead of LeBron in the MVP voting so regular season Kawhi > regular season LeBron would not be particularly controversial.

Only thing I strongly disagree with his DeAndre Jordan getting third team. KAT, Boogie, Whiteside, I think they all had more impressive seasons than him.

Can we talk about Klay Thompson though? Dude fell from #2 in his team to what... #4? He hasn't impressed these playoffs and hasn't made any All NBA Team this season. Funny how KD's arrival changed this dude's impact. Because Klay could be the top player on several teams in this league.

He had the exact same stats this year as last year. He's stuggled offensively in the post season but I don't think it has anything to do with KD.

Actually, one of the more interesting subplots of the Warriors this year is that while Steph, KD, and Draymond's points all predictably dipped, Klay's pretty much stayed the same (just double checked and he actually averaged a career high). The reason he didn't make All NBA is simply because of how deep the guard pool is this year. Wall, IT, and DeRozan had career years and Steph, Harden, and Westbrook are 3 of the top 6 players in the league. I mean, Chris Paul didn't even make it this year.

I see, wrong analysis then. I just remembered how deadly he was against OKC last year. That game 6 was something else.

You're not wrong about his playoff performance so far. It's been forgettable (though he's been good defensively).

But yeah, during the regular season he was eerily similar to last year. Only three less 3 point attempts for the season and 30 less overall points than last year. PPG average was actually slightly higher.

Haywards not going anywhere. I don't know if the Boston fans in this thread are just messing around or what like he would actually leave but he's super loved over here in UT even though I think he's overrated all the white people over here act like he's the next Stockton.

Yeah it's totally just Boston fans messing around and not every reputable NBA guy talking about how Boston is serious about going after Hayward.

People are thinking Boston is going to sign Hayward because he's white, right?
This speculation started the day Stevens was hired as the head coach.

So Horford, IT, and Hayward will make the max. I guess Smart and Bradley will walk? And Horford's contract will be up by the time they have to pay Brown. It's an alright plan. I don't think they're going anywhere with those three as their max players, though.

I wouldn't assume they keep IT. I'd take Fultz/Bradley/Brown/Hayward/Horford if possible.

Be loved in Boston or be loved in SLC......hmmm....tough choice.

I was fairly confident that Hayward would stay but Celtics getting #1 pick and Hayward not being eligible for the mega max hasn't helped matters.

Really hoping the Celtics get him though, that franchise could really use a break. Utah just has an embarrassment of sports riches. Boston has had some tough sports years, they need a spark of hope.

The East and West is gonna be the Cavs v Warrior show in the playoffs regardless of what these teams do for the next few years unless LeBron falls off hard or Steph's ankles break and Klay walks and Dray walks and KD walks after this year. I think the Celtics core should be Fultz, Brown, and whoever the draft with the Nets pick next year myself.

Five Takeaways From the All-NBA Team Announcement

Here’s how Hayward’s contract could look over the next eight years by re-signing in Utah this summer and then signing a five-year max in 2020, versus signing elsewhere and then signing a five-year max in 2020.

Gulp. These numbers should terrify Utah. There is no measurable advantage to the five-year deal it can offer this summer. The Jazz’s best hope is that Hayward opts in using his player option for 2017–18 and makes another run at All-NBA next season. But he finished eighth in voting among forwards this year. As talented as Hayward is, and as steadily he’s improved every year as a pro, making an All-NBA team with the wealth of forwards the league currently has might be a pipe dream for the 27-year-old.

🤔🤔🤔

I say he will be deserving of the MVP AFTER he shows up and has a satisfactory performance in the next elimination game. Otherwise, it's a complete waste of time and totally meaningless.
Game 5 and 7 clippers? That's all I got, but it's not a totally empty pit

Harden is already the 3rd best rocket of all time, and he's not some regular season phenonmen like some people say he is

If they can get anything of value then they should do it rather than let him walk.
I agree but who or what would that even be ? No team wants to build around IT . Best you could hope for is a headcase player or a middling first round pick . Still do it but man that's sad .

Yeah, I get that. Just still really frustrated and very difficult to forget the most recent elimination. He's come a long way, but he must step up more for me to forgive 6 periods of spaghetti.

I'm aware that the Celtics will go after him, but I'm saying I don't believe there's any chance he leaves at all. As a Jazz fan I'm not even remotely worried about it. If he stays here he's literally a legend here whether or not the Jazz ever contend for a ring.

I mean it's not like he's a bad player, he just doesn't fit this team. Any team struggling to fill seats would kill for a guy like IT.
