Trump signs Holocaust memorial guestbook the way only he can

will learn eventually
President Trump’s message in a guestbook at Israel’s main Holocaust memorial and museum has drawn some ridicule for its failure to demonstrate sensitivity to the atrocities memorialized at the site.

“It is a great honor to be here with all of my friends - so amazing + will never forget!” Trump wrote during his visit to Yad Vashem in Jerusalem, today.

Raoul Wootliff, a reporter for the right-wing Times of Israel, posted on Twitter, “He forgot: ‘See you next summer.

And for comparison, how Obama signed:
I am grateful to Yad Vashem and all of those responsible for this remarkable institution,” he wrote. “At a time of great peril and promise, war and strife, we are blessed to have such a powerful reminder of man’s potential for great evil, but also our capacity to rise up from tragedy and remake our world. Let our children come here, and know this history, so that they can add their voices to proclaim ‘never again.’ And may we remember those who perished, not only as victims, but also as individuals who helped and loved and dreamed like us, and who have become symbols of the human spirit.

I'm surprised he didn't use the words tremendous and bigly. Trump doesn't have it in him to write something like Obama did.

God's had his chance.
The gulf between Obama's class and drumpfs utter lack of it is... astounding.

Fucking white trash president. How embarrasing.

What a fucking disgrace. This orange stain will continue to embarrass the country on a daily basis until he finally gets thrown in jail.

what a clown

Jesus Christ, the utter chasm of difference between his and Obama's is enough to make me sick. Another succinct reminder of how far we have fallen.

It's like a message you'd leave in the guest book of a rented out beach house at the end of your vacation.

"It's hard to believe that more people died in the Holocaust than the 1.5 million people who turned up to my inauguration. Such a tremendous number."

Trump is a national embarrassment and Obama's note was eloquent & inspring, this can also demonstrate the appeal of Donald Trump to the people to voted for him, and (part) of the unappeal of Obama from those same people. Trump's note is direct and personal, it talks about what he knows -- himself; Obama's note is impersonal and appeals to the human condition and talks about what he knows (a great deal), but it comes across as lecturing or pedantic.

I, obviously, aspire to the latter for my president, but this is as clear an example as there is of how Trump appeals to that ~25% of Americans that voted for him.
