Friday the 13th: The Game is releasing May 26th

getting this regardless but watching a couple streams today and the maps look the same and the game seems a little glitchy. When Jason is hitting the door or pulling someone out of the car he goes through it and it looks terrible.

I also worry about dyeing quick and having to wait around for 15min for the match to end, I wont like that one bit.

The Reddit sub is now a dumpster fire of people complaining that streamers got the game early instead of the backers themselves.

I'm pretty hyped for this. Might hold off for physical, though. Maybe if I come up with enough cash I'll buy it in a few weeks.

The verdict
The main problem with the video game of Friday 13, beyond that the ambiance is quite achieved but perhaps it deepens little in the history and the mythology related to Jason, is that it only has a unique way of game, reason why easily in a Single game you could have seen all that the video game has to offer you. The balance system does not hold up and Jason always has to win. We try to compensate for the lack of content with a system of progression that encourages us to play for many games, but will not leave aside the feeling of repetitiveness.

Despite knowing how to perfectly reproduce the atmosphere of the film, which has a unique gameplay seems unforgivable.

+ Be able to control one of the best horror movie villains.
+ Death animations.
+ Depth of customization.

-One gamemode is not enough.
-The modeling of the survivors.
-Bad balanced.
-Very repetitive.

Bad balance? Jason should be overpowered, that's the whole point.


But I'm expecting it to land in the 60s on Metacritic.

I wish the developers all the best and cant wait to enjoy the game. Been a long time since we got to go up against my boy Jason.

I'm definitely not in the "this is the end of the world" status that reddit seems to be, but I do feel a certain way that they dropped this early for streamers. Just something about it being a Kickstarter/backerit game makes it feel different.

I understand the decision. They need to draw interest and increase sales for the holiday weekend. Not sure how I'd handle it if I were in their shoes. I just know as a backer it doesn't feel the best.
