In regarding to that shove, if indeed it was to prevent a collision or if he needed so bad to get in front for the spotlight, he could've done what any normal human being would do: face to face with the gentleman and say either "excuse me" or "pardon" and give a smile to show no offensiveness for it.
He did none of these. What he did was a dick move.
