Sounds like Washington needs a real American to run the Capitals

Max Pacioretty.

Getting Ovechkin in Las Vegas would be great for pretty much everyone involved.

2017 1st + 2018 1st + some assets they get in the expansion draft could probably get it done.

LMAO 2 lottery picks for an aging 30 goal guy?

Yes. For a new franchise, it gives them someone to build around, someone who can guarantee butts in seats for at least 3 years, and guarantees tons of merchandise sales.

That said, this years first plus a conditional/protected 1st next year (say, if top 5 it turns into two 2nd rounders) might be a bit high.

Only meaningless on its own, and intentionally vague so you'd go back and watch it without a big spoiler in my post.
Yeah, fair enough.

The sequence of events:

1. Finish season, post on GAF
2. See lamaroo post, rub chin thoughtfully, disregard.
3. Days later. See MoN OT thread, enter, wondering about the last scene, and confirm that people think they're together.
4. Go back and compare the two bed scenes,
confirm she's wearing different clothes,
no ring, etc.
5.
6. Refuse to give lamaroo credit

I actually think the last scene was poorly done. The cut to the snowy windows made me think it was a flashback, as if she was thinking about that night with him. Or...maybe I shouldn't watch these shows on my phone while getting ready for bed.

NHL 17 is NHL 16 is NHL 15, etc.

Speaking of NHL 17, I was actually looking forward to the Owner features in Franchise Mode, being able to mess around with arena stuff. But it's all just nonessential in playing that game mode anyway, so I barely touch it. It's basically a piece thrown in to Be A GM, repackaged as Franchise Mode.

Biatch it went to 2 OTs. Blowing what.

Losing to the media's golden boys is blowing it.

The stupid Toews is a top 100 player narrative doesn't happen without the Flyers blowing the 2010 finals in one goal games and OT. They didn't just let themselves down that year, they let the whole league down.

I admit my post could have been a better indicator that I was arguing your point about the ending and inviting discussion on that scene in question.

I assumed right away that they ended up together but didn't even notice the missing ring until I looked on GAF to confirm my suspicions.

Me again with another Ontario question...

Anyone have any good craft beer recommendations? Stuff I can get at the Beer Store in Kingston. I've gotten some cool advice so far, and I know where we'll be exiting to pick up supplies (#617 off the 401) on our way to our little romantic B&B rental thing that's closer to Belleville/Picton, but I'd love for any beer connoisseurs to let me know what's what.

I know pretty much all the Quebec brands and a lot of US ones, but that's the thing... they don't sell out of province stuff here other than Beau's for whatever reason. Never really see any Ontario, or BC. Any suggestions for decent IPA's or sours (Gose, Berliner Weisse etc) I'd love. Or any good brewer period really. Just so I have some idea what to look for and not be overwhelmed. Took me a few Summers here to figure out which brands to trust.

Thanks! If any of you ever need Quebec/Montreal advice when coming to see the Habs I'll be your man. I know the city well! I can also help with NYC but Meta's probably way better with that now since I've been gone for a while.

cineplex is so shitty now. the commercials NEVER END

I don't go to Cineplex as much, and when I went sometime last year, the amount of commercials really caught me off-guard.

I prefer going to Landmark. It's a bit further away from Cineplex relative to my house, but it isn't super far away.

Cineplex VIP is the only theater I like now (the Landmark Plus is alright) so I can put up with some extra commercials while I wait for the server to bring me my artisanal poutine.

It was fun moving the Yotes to Seattle and designing a new arena for them though.

NHL 17 just hit EA Access so maybe ill download it and mess around with the game some more.

I generally avoid IPAs so I won't be able to help much there but for stuff you'll find in Beer Stores, or the LCBO; Steamwhistle, Lost Craft, Hockley Brewing, and Muskoka Brewery make some good beer.

Canadiens English language regional telecasts moving to TSN

I hope I can still watch Habs Games... I hope Atlantic Canada doesn't get screwed over this

Oh shit is Calder back to trying to find any trade for a goalie?

I love these! So much sadness. :( :)

Goalie? Fuck that, enjoy your year with the Moose before you're in Switzerland or the SEL or some shit Kari!

I'm taking the new hotness Miro Heiskanen at third, and in return I'm washing away the sins of Jim Nill... well not quite his sin specifically but we can do Niemi instead if they prefer. A third overall pick in a shitty draft year can only buy you so much cap forgiveness.

John Bartlett could come back to TSN. supposedly his contract is up at Sportsnet

Ontario still can't quite compete with Quebec or BC, especially when it comes to quality IPAs or sours.

Otherwise I have nothing to add, sorry

Galchenyuk, Sergachev and a conditional 1st for Ovi. The condition is we make it past the 2nd round of the playoffs, otherwise it's a 2nd
