Are we sure what kind of blast it is and who fires it? It seems to come from underwater which suggests it's that guy that Frieza blasted last episode. Looks like the "hakai" to me but that makes no sense.

Looking at the photos for todays episode again:
First we see Frieza holding the 'ball' beside Goku, then a shot of him with a crazy face, then Goku is hit by the same type of energy.

Maybe Frieza threw it at Goku from close range?

Or maybe it's the one from the water and Goku goes SSG or something to absorb it lol

The Zamasu fight? Damn, they're taking their sweet time with that one...

It should end next chapter, based on this one's leaks (
There's a page with Trunks cutting merged Zamasu in half, with one resembling Goku Black and another Zamasu, then another with a sword through Black and him seemingly not caring, then another with multiple merged Zamasus appearing. It's pretty clear now that the Zen'o button is coming at this point.
).

So whats the next stage after blue? Ssj white?

I'm kind of expecting Gohan to branch off to a different path. We have already kind of seen something similar with Rose.

Since he doesn't have the God Ki to build Blue from I expect it to be an evolution of his Ultimate form combined with SSJ.

Ultimate Saiyan (silver aura with gold highlights and lightning)

SS Ultra Violet based on the direction we're heading.

Manga Goku now can use
Hakai. Although not that well since it only destroyed about half of merged Zamasu's body.

Still kind of annoyed that Trunks ended up sidelined in the manga compared to the anime, but this chapter's battle seems pretty good.

Gohan fought on par with a much stronger SSB Goku.

Agreed.

People aren't being consistent with their rules and logic. Goku was SERIOUS even as regular Blue, because Gohan was asking him to get serious. This was clearly illustrated with Goku's expressions, gone were the thrills and excitement we saw from his fights with 17, Krillin and even Gohan himself. He was clearly very serious by this point, and Gohan held his own for as briefly as it lasted. Even lasting one second against a serious SSBlue is impressive.

So, if we're going to agree that Gohan asked for Goku to get serious into Kaioken, we can't suddenly pretend Goku wasn't serious as Blue, when he clearly was. Gohan asked for a serious Goku, he got a serious Blue form but knew Goku could go even higher. Which is why he begged again.

Jesus, Fuck the manga.

The Goku wanking is GT levels pathetic

"The Future Trunks Arc! Featuring little to no Trunks"

There's clearly flows of inconsistent info. Saying Goku wasn't serious is more an explanation of why 2 eps later Goku is talking about Vegeta and Frieza as if they're both well above Gohan's level.

After learning that goku learned Hakai for some reason, it would not surprised if Goku just uses Instant transmission to get Trunks and Mai to their new timeline.

I think it is, yeah

Yeah, it's all filler. In the manga, Yamcha is with Bulma again when Goku meets them before the Budokai. Also, note that the gap between matches in the anime is all filler too. In the manga all the battles of the Budokai happen in a single day. DB filler generally felt more like it was part of the story, rather than only buying time (although some filler was still quite bad).

Thanks. That was a nice filler scene. Bulma and Yamcha's feelings felt real in it. Yamcha was also wearing an outfit that looked almost just like his current one in Super except for it was black not white. I wonder if his current Super costume was design was based on that

Throw in a dragon fist and some brute rays because why not at this point and he is stronger than Grand Priest lol
Seeing how Black was less of a threat, maybe in the tournament Bergamo would be completly useless in Base Form wipe the floor with him as long with Toppo, while Jiren instead of them having no chance against him Toppo would be like maybe Jiren

Hahahhahaha fucking what?

I mean given goku copied techniques all the time in Dragonball, it's not an impossible stretch but...

Personally I would like it if certain techniques, like the one in question, could only be used by Gods. I think that would also help differentiate mortals and Gods, beyond just power levels and status.

But I can see them, at some point later down the line, having Goku & Co (or just Goku) learn some God stuff (not just God Ki, actual attacks/moves).

Nah, his BoGs/Super design is based on a Dr.Slump character, Tsukutsun Tsun (who was the model for Yamcha in the first place, but his new outfit is outright taken from him).
