Having two 9s TMs will allow the use of a multi hitting chain attack. You can give the TM to units who wouldn't normally get to do it. So that's why it's sought after to get a pair.
I guess it depends if you have chainers already or not. And in the future we'll fight battles where you can't bring duplicate units, which makes having an equipped skill that can chain very appealing.

As long as you got 9S and have decent chainers you should be good for a while yet.
Once the damage is there, worry about survivability. That's where I am now. Just need to get 21O TM, the 30%HP from my Eve's and 9S TM.
Once that's done I will take on Robot again and I'm sure it will be a whole different fight. Even more so if we had Enhanced Ramza.

Thanks haha. Yeah that's been my stance as well. There was one particular time where I really lost interest, but I felt I would regret quitting so I only TM farmed. Then a new trial came out and I remembered why I liked playing the game in the first place. Now every time I lose interest I remember that time and choose to stay. I'm kind of trapped lol.
Yeah I'm really happy they brought back old events. Like the lightning hammer is still the best lightning weapon outside of Olive's TM, who is a 5* base.
Unfortunately this is how it is in JP from my experience so nothing new there. They get a couple less days than us to run the raid but otherwise we've been spoiled in previous raids over here in GL. For me it gives me less incentive to pull for banner units to get those free TMs. Gone are the days of 5 Gugnir lol!
I heard it was the other way round? That Japanese players are more willing to spend than GL players in general.

I may be wrong on this but I read that 9S chaining attack doesn't guarantee a proper chain. Best results would require the same units using that skill.
For example, 9S TM on 2x Eve would be better than 9S TM on Dark Knight Cecil and another on a Fohlen.
Something to do with attack animations.
Welp, looks like I'm blowing my last 20 tickets. My only chainer is Agrias. Gonna wait till tomorrow though. Hopefully my luck changes.

That's weird to me if that's the case. You would less inclined to give stuff away and make things easier to obtain if people were content and spending on what's offered already.

Sort of dawdled around Exvius for a while. Had an account when Lightning came out. Rerolled for her. Rerolled again when Orlandu came out. Was prepared to drop everything for 2B when Nier came out but I pulled her strictly through the devil's luck with a single ticket pull.
One of my main frustrations with this game is that I never felt like I was getting any stronger. My team was changing, everyone was leveled, awakened, but clearing the final difficulties always felt like it was up to the friend unit to carry me more than anything. Coupled with a major burn chasing Noctis when he came out, and I left the game alone for a while.
I've recently picked it back up but god does it feel like I'm super behind. I see people on my friendlist with 600 - 1k attack units, and I'm piddling through the game with a 340ish attack Orlandu.
I had a Nox macro for trust farming but Nox kept crashing and slowing down my computer so I got something to let my phone record taps, and I trust farmed for about a month.
I'm sitting at a handful of 50%ish trusts on my farming team, and never any energy to do the events. It's incredibly frustrating because when the game clicks, it feels really good. More like a real RPG than Granblue (which is my main gatcha game.) and I love the IP behind it. But for the life of me I never feel like I'm getting stronger.
It's frustrating.
ANYWAY. My team currently is Orlandu, Yshtola, Riku, Noctis, and 2B. Before 2B it was Trance Terra.
I've always heard it's that there is more competition in the east. So companies are more likely to give out free stuff to keep people playing and spending since the market is over saturated and if people don't like a game they just move onto the next hot thing.

to be honest I'm not sure how it works, can't a game company who knows how to create a good Gatcha approach a studio who has a popular IP and work together on it? I'm not sure on the origins of how most get going. Was it Gumi that approached Square Enix in the first place for this?Oh and sorry to see you go Chinner
This game is definitely part of my daily routine now, pretty bad, but I am enjoying it too, and being part of his community. I'm not sure how I'll feel when I blow all my tickets on the Cloud banner and don't get him though...:/ it's all leading up to him for me.

To your first part, it's really all about TMs. That's how so many people are getting up into the 1k with units. You have a really good team actually. You could try the most recent version of Memu emulator, which I prefer over Nox, to macro. Once you start getting the right TMs, it won't take long. Weapon masteries, Excalibur, etc. There's always stuff coming from events that can help. And even the story later on dishes out some decent stuff if you do the right quests (the Key/vault quests).
what was originally rolled, never saw it?
ive only done 2x 10k and pulled 1 moogle so far... a 2b >.>; not saying everything i have needs to get moogled, but im hoping at least 1 a2, a 9s, and a 210 at the least...

I have a feeling this is going to slowly change on GL. We will see, but it seems like the GAF whales are all looking at slowing it down, again we will see. Personally as I mentioned I'm done with non limited stuff outside of Ayaka, and if she ends up being a double rainbow (highly likely) I will probably skip that also.

Wouldn't blame you. Right now just riding the wave and saving. I was upset I didn't get Tidus, but at same time I had to let it go. Right now maybe my group isn't set up exactly for him. And I'll probably end up getting him going for CG Sakura or OK. The good fall back on this is I have him on JP, so not totally out.
But this double rainbow bullshit just started... and it has to end. We already deal with bullshit rates. This is just icing on the fuck you cake.

Yeah I'm still pulling for some key 4*s like the two you mentioned.
Not even going to do that.
I decided to burn the Ex Tickets and got 9S on the last.
150 pulls for a single 9S.
It's not even the Rainbow change anymore for me, if they ever want me to get to spend a cent again. Yellow to 30% alongside a massive boost to banner hits for both Rainbow and Yellow(50% for Rainbow once it's 3% and 35% for Yellow).
You guys can bitch away too. Not even going to rationalize it anymore. I literally hit the point, where I kept going simply because I was laughing at how bad it was. And I wasn't even angry on the off banner Rainbow. But If I can't even target a single yellow for a banner after 150 attempts. It's not worth it.
I learned my lesson on Rainbows with Orlandu and I figured it couldn't get much worse than Ling(40 pulls), so I was thinking 80 pulls for 9S. No.... it can get worse to the point on unreasonable.

I just told you.
Goddess's Revelation: Revive and fully restore all allies, then casts reraise on all allies.
Now even if a reraised ally happens to get killled, hey can still revive and regain reraise in the same turn with just one unit slot taken up.

I'm excited to get home tonight and gear up Orlandu and DV to see if I can 1RKO the robot raid with them and maybe A2 as a finisher. I've been going through it slowly (but safely) so far with WoL/Rem/Zarg/Aileen/Ace and whatever friend unit. Only doing that because I can't stop and re-equip everyone since I'm at work.
I love that the Raid boss finally is an enemy that's fully break-able. No more resist crap.

Bring another Landu friend and OTKO is a guarantee. Just hit him first with a DEF/SPR rebuff.
My team of 2x Landu, Rem, WoL and Olive absolutely wrecks him.
I totally get this sentiment, and I'm on the same boat. There isn't really any units coming out until Ayaka that I feel I functionally must have to maintain progress.
Playing with my GF's low-level account, and helping her creatively get through content with the limited units she has was a lot funner for me than playing with my main account where I brute force absolutely everything.
I think these last few banners have burnt a lot of people out. Personally, I think Gumi has taken a fairly short-sighted route with these banners.
I think Nier will be a very very profitable banner for them, but at the same time, I felt they could have kept their user base happier and healthier by being more thoughtful about how they plan their banners; particularly in regards to 9S and Eve and the banner 4* rates.
Luckily, Prishe and Werei are on the same banner, but I'm starting to waver on Prishe as well. Her hat is definitely nice, but its only really 17 atk, and a little more HP/MP and less DEF/SPR, than Black Cowl. Its not going to make or break me, and its not going to get me through content that I otherwise couldn't get past.
It should be a month away, given that its another raid, so that should give me some time to think about it, but I may just get a few Werei and call it a day.
Veritas of Wind is something I definitely want, much like Werei, but Veritas of Light is a unit I plan on skipping. Great unit, but I will never use him.

The main issue I'm having with the raid boss is the random input delay I've been getting since the "emergency maintenance". My moves keep going off at different times making it hard to chain properly. It's ironic that people had this issue before the maintenance and I wasn't one of them. Ofc I have it now lol.

I was thinking , once season 2 rolls around, I may very well go completely F2p. With the new story and all that, there will be some nice opportunity for lapis that way.
