I'm getting the hang of Horizon finally, and I actually like 2cp, which I know is an... unpopular opinion, to say the least. I love playing Defense, and 2cp fits that perfectly.
King of the Hill has always been a favourite for me, which is why I love playing on the Control maps. It's a bummer that they don't pop up as frequently as the 2CP and Escort maps, though.
Would easily do L Tower and Oasis over most of the other maps any day of the week

Yeah with a lot of AAA mp games now having time of day changes (r6 siege), weather changes (battlefield 1) or both (for honor) I really wish they just released all the different TOD/weather variants for the main maps. Obviously put them in correctly so the percentage to get each map stays the same, you just now have a chance of getting daytime or nighttime king's row when king's row is selected by the server etc.

Did Blizzard make any changes to the matchmaker in the last couple months? I quit playing at the beginning of Season 4 because matches were always stomps and teams never felt even. I decided to come back and give Season 5 another shot because of the summer event and out of my 7 placement matches, only 2 were lopsided. The other 5 were super close matches that could have gone either way and I wouldn't have been mad to lose. I hope this trend sticks.

It's honestly a bad ass line, if you think about it. I kind of wish some of the other characters have a similar title, such as Reaper stating "I'm the Angel of Death" when he get's a kill-streak.
Yeah, it sounds corny. But this game is the video game personification of light-hearted super heroics and future optimism, and it honestly wouldn't be out of context.

I agree. Hollywood is practically begging for a non-Halloween night variant. Would make it feel a little more glitzy.
They can easily go and make a ridiculous Super Sentai-style movie as the premiere film for the night stage, as Sentai Genji is a thing. Also, it would be fun to see Hanzo get a Legendary that is modeled after Inframan.

I tried getting on the mic which I wasn't using at all because the headphones are busted and I can only hear from one side of them to try to understand how we would allow a single reaper to come behind every single time. That's all he did every single game when we finally figured that out that's when we took over and won the game but it so frustrating to see people get picked every single time by a guy who is doing the same thing all game. We know hes coming wait for him, pick, team wipe repeat.
It took forever for us to figure that out and not susprinsgly we turned the game around when we stopped getting picked by a flanking reaper. On light house him and the mercy would do the same shit I couldn't believe it that he was getting picks so easily.

That's the thing that confuses me. Does flexing really hurt your SR? I've read in several places that one tricking throughout a match is better than flexing heroes to try to counter the enemy's composition. The basic premise is that your personal stats will be better on that hero, since you never switched (more kills or more healing, etc). But if you're consistently switching and performing just as consistantly, all your stats on those heroes will be lower, resulting in less SR gain (win) or more SR loss (loss).
I get that being able to fill in the holes on your team is the best way to play, but given that the game has a heavy focus on being flexible, it would suck if this is true.
That's why I only play with a Mercy main now.

From the info I've seen from people experimenting, you basically have better SR by sticking to one offmeta hero since people use them less so if you do real well, you gain more SR in wins and lose less in losses. So if you switch to flex, it might delude the calculation esp if you switch to a more popular hero. Dunno if anything changed but it's a pretty lousy system for people who can flex.

No, I'm talking about the 2 we did without the stack. I wanted to play a few games with Lik since he was on, we had a 4-stack with Owzers and Carlos but by that point I was already too tired, my brain can only process so much lol.
I liked the ones before a lot, especially the koth ones. Shame about the Oasis loss, we had that 2nd map. Also I have to stop being so salty but I can't control myself D:

Nah, the hitbox on punch is bullshit and reaches places you should be safe, like higher ground where his charge is stopped by him being lower ground but it like the fist is reaching much further and higher, Rein charge gets stopped same situation with no pin, and it doesn't even need to properly even hit you into a wall to get a wall death, often just graze the wall. Both need fixing.

KOTH maps make me twitchy, especially as Zen. Flankers coming from everywhere, no place to set up an effective solo-q defense.

Man Lucioball is trash. Competitive once you're out of placements takes forever to find a match, and if you play regular there's always at least one guy on your team who doesn't play at all and just runs around in a circle doing nothing.

I did my placements (to get the season bonus) and I'm done. The game mode has a lot of problems, and if your ping fluctuates at all the ball just does wonky stuff.
It's possible to get Golds and still perform below the average. It's comparing your performance to other people previously playing the same hero on the same map, not the rest of your team.

Yeah. In theory Lucioball should be fun - and maybe in a team of 3 it might be. But even with Blizzard's changes it's still awful. I think I'm done with it too - much rather do Mystery Heroes or Total Mayhem or something to get the free loot boxes for the event.

I don't really like playing Zen on most KOTH maps since positioning is such a big part of his schtick and like you said it's easier to get flanked. I used to do Ana and Lucio but now that Ana is worthless on console I just use Lucio.
With KOTH, I usually try to hang back as Zen and just snipe. His Ult is great for the team fights so he's very good there. Def need to look out for flankers.

Yea, I've seen this a lot lately, I blame it more on the lower skill I'm playing with than anything. Rarely would see that nonsense on PS4 at the higher ranks.
