Good suspension, don't touch the ref

although the flopping gifs are out of context, that red was a little ridiculous he just lost his footing after the contact... and disclaimer I don't care if it's Ronaldo I don't watch european football, i'm a MLS Snob 8)

Wow, what a vicious attempt at the ref's life. Good to see he will be able to meet his loved ones once again after this match.

Anyways, he shouldn't have done that mild push.. But he is punished accordingly, which settles it in my view.

Ronaldo didnt dive he just lost his balance but he should of never touched the ref.Surprised nobody talked about Suarez dive to give barca their only goal also Manchester United gave Madrid a tougher match than Barca

Par for the course. Dude never grew up.

An incredible player and athlete, but so hard to watch at times.

Absolutely he dove. Suarez dive is even worse, but it's a 1 or 0 thing, degrees don't matter. Besides, pushing the ref is the greatest offense here. His dive is nothing out of the ordinary.

Joao Pinto punched a referee in the gut during the 2002 World Cup in exactly the same circumstances

I...wut...

These are not the same. CR7 lightly touched the ref. He didn't punch him, he didn't hurt him, he didn't threaten him. He lightly tapped him on the back, which he shouldn't have done, but nothing more. Hence why he got the minimum (4 matches + 1 for the red).

João Pinto literally punched a ref in the gut.

Suggesting these are even similar is disingenuous.

It doesn't matter who we are, what matters is our plan.
You wouldn't get this in rugby, even down to grass roots. Football players (a lot, not all) need to learn some fucking respect.

This behaviour in top flight is the reason why Sunday league refs fear for their safety.

Ronaldo didn't dive. He was in a sprint, Umtiti clearly hindered/touched him during their fight for the ball and Ronaldo fell as a consequence. Anybody who plays football himself will know how hard it is to stay on your feet when somebody tries to cross you during your sprint.
It was not enogh for a penalty but it also clearly was not a dive.

Today I learned, that gaf is full of Barca villamelones.... Plus the usual pile of football haters.

I saw this live, it was actually quite funny.

This is why we need instant replay in football already.

And the crazy thing is that Real will be totally fine. That's how good they are.

I knew he would snap and show us all his psychotic side one day, it's written all over his
statue's
face. Poor ref never stood a chance.
