Season 5 is the first full season of OW comp I've been a part of and I thought I'd rank up higher than where I am. Comp is my favorite way to play the game and I still have so much fun playing almost every day.

I guess there's some weight to the idea that blizzard keeps you where you're supposed to be. I started at around 2200 and got out of gold in about a week. My winrate is like 52% and I'm rarely in any one-sided matches. But I got to a new career high last night so I think there's a slight chance I could still get to diamond if I can avoid a crazy losing streak.

Nothing like hearing the opponent's Genji pop ult only to have both your Lucio/Zen pop theirs. It sucks but it's hard to blame them since comms sucks with randoms.

Honestly with the windup on it anyways, I really think Lucio should be able to cancel his ult by hitting Q again

So I've made another control scheme adjustment, this time for Soldier, and he's much better to play as.

But I'm kinda horrified at how well I'm doing, atleast in QP. I get to stay at a safe distance, putting in significant damage without much risk other than being flanked. If I am flanked? No worries, I can either escape with my infinite sprint that has no cooldown or lay down my healing station that effectively makes me a tank.

Even dying isn't as big a deal as it is for other characters. Quick, who do you think can get back onto the point the fastest? Tracer? Lucio? No, it's Soldier, since all the other heroes have limitations to their mobility, while Soldier can sprint forever.

And of course there's his ult, possibly the easiest to use in the entire game.

I might be more open to playing him now, but he still disgusts me.

I just thought the clip was funny, it doesn't reflect poorly on Anne. We've all had Genji deflect, say, a full alt-fire volley back into our little Zen faces- or worse, into the unsuspecting Mercy standing next to us.

I honestly wish Anne had posted this at the time, it is just too funny. Outraged Hanzos are never not hilarious.

Also just played a Mystery Hero match where no one could take out a bastion that kept itself holed up in a corner, but the game never gave me a hero I could take him out with.

I haven't played him in a comp match yet. I don't plan to, but I try to get comfortable with all heroes. Even disgusting ones.

Think of it like this: Keep your friends close, your enemies closer.

Ended that heinous episode of Overwatch at 1-8-1. The draw was the last match where someone left 1 minute in on Eichenwalde. Somehow we managed to hold the other team to not even a single tick on point A.

Aw I can't imagine watching DPSTanky's vindication video without Queen, or that #1 Mercy in headshots video without Six Shooter.

Adding music changes it from just a mechanical "this happened" into an... infectious vibe of how fun the game can feel to play.

My vids are certainly not showcasing skill - they're celebrating joy. ^.^

Leave it to Blizzard to make a game of soccer where everyone is a wallriding speedbooster with jump pads throughout the field and somehow still have it be the most sluggish geriatric take on the sport.
