Oops, I get what you meant now. Point still stands though, they should take a look at said mechanic and do something about it now that Atma weapons are a thing.

Actually, giving more characters a second weapon proficiency would be a way around it.

I think they are. I don't remember Siegfried having a Katana specialty before, since it was just Naru x2, Octo and Lucio when I looked it up a week ago.

I cannot begin to explain how good ground zeroing my way through most content feels. Sarasa also has such an awesome voice and she's just a joy to use. Having started the 1st of april and gotten Sarasa on the 9th I've made so much progress in 4 and a half-ish months and it's pretty much all been fun with the occasional bout of post gw burnout each month.

I really hope they keep it up then, specially if they keep increasing the number of characters that use Katanas, fists, harps and the like.

Capped my renown out for this week. Kind of feels like a weight is lifted from my shoulders, though now I'm sort of unsure of what to do now, lol. I guess try to focus more on the event, though the weapon isn't super relevant for me right now.

Feeling a bit sore since I messed up and wasted some of my renown pendants before really looking into a guide regarding them, would probably have another Leviathan Omega dagger if I did.

Event weapon is good skill-up fodder, real easy to get a couple of them from the shop with little effort. Other then that, hit up the angel halo mines and get those orbs.

Have been playing around with a Swordmaster+Murgleis party, and ended up MVPing Prom.

This setup is so high risk-high reward, I'm in love with it.

Probably shouldn't join pub Prom raids with it, though, have to admit it could have gone south plenty of times.

WHy do rank 101 - 105 people host and/or join RQs :( what a waste of my time and BP when like five of them are in a [6-man] raid.
Because the only way to complete a Class Champion weapon the same month you get to rank 101 requires doing up to 30 RQ raids to purchase distinctions. I though about doing it since I reached 101 the 2nd of August but they are just too slow.

Thats way too risky, I can not imagine the success rate of pub RQ can be that high to make doing 30 feasible (when its 1/2 cost), unless youre doing it with friends who will carry you or crewmates.

Been feeling pretty good about my progress with farming Leviathan Omega, since I've picked up like three daggers in the past week of playing. Then I remembered I still need to fully uncap them all and the road got way longer, lol. Still, feels nice to be slowly upping my damage as I keep adding more to my grid.

Couple questions, if you don't mind me asking. At what point with my grid can I expect to MVP or at least vice-MVP? Basically the point where I can hope to earn a red chest from joining raids instead of hosting them. Just want to know what I should expect for a while.

Also, any tips on what I should be doing with my extended mastery points? Been racking up a lot with my core party but not super sure where I should be speccing. They include: Katalina (Limited), Yoda, and Silva, with Charlotta and Lily hanging in the back. Haven't had much success in searching up recommended builds for them so figured I'd just ask here.

Nice. Getting stuff done does feel pretty good.

Once you make a basic grid and max skill them is around the time you can start MVP'ing your own magnas, and with some luck, other people's if you get a head start. Unfortunately, I can't tell you what rank that happens at because slime busting has messed up estimations and even rank 101's don't have basic grids done thanks to the ease of rank up EXP. But if I were to guess, with very light slime busting, around rank 85-90 is when you should feel you can take MVP for magna fights without much trouble. For entry level HL and on, you won't likely be MVP'ing that for awhile.

Generally, you want Triple attack, double attacks, crit, element damage. Those give the best bang for your buck. The order I normally go with is: TA>Crit>DA>element atk (I'll normally at least grab one into each before I start investing more into mastering any one of them). Flat ATK is generally a no-no and should be saved for the very last upgrade, if possible. You also don't want to master a skill right away, since characters get diminishing returns per point spent on a skill. For example, a character with two double attack skills, it is more point efficient to place a point into each one of them instead of two into one. After that, you'll have to look at their EMP passive and see if that's worth taking. I'll take a look later at the characters you listed and edit this with some suggestions but this could help you enough to get the ball rolling.

Depends on your class and how much youre doing for your normal attacks. If you're playing where your clicking a lot, then itll be awhile or impossible to vice or mvp raids. Since your water, can you solo colo omega yet?

If you have S.Zoey you can MVP snipe public raids with a 0* claw grid because balance. With other elements Idk, you can mvp on element fights with 0* grid SL 10 if you have the right characters to support your grid. You wont be able to race but you can secure MVP on your own magnas. My potato water grid can MVP colossus and I have everything SL 5-7.

Well, its just depends on how good your team can race. Yoda and Silva would be good in Strike time racing, just be competing against stuff like Sarasa's ground zero and Zoi teams in general.

Start skilling your daggers. You only need 6 for a levi pool. My grids were pretty bad until I started skilling up my weapons and now they all can at least let me reach the honor threshold for maximum pendants in HL which can transfer to you being able to at least secure MVP on your magnas.

For EMPs, always max out crit nodes. They really help on element and in no element fights with a 25% chance to proc an additional 25% damage at a fully maxed node. Not sure what the optimal builds are for specific characters though. Pretty sure the Reddit tier list does have some builds there though.

Thanks for the answers! Especially to tiltnkirby for being so specific about things. Set my EMP priorities according to those suggestions.

Definitely aiming to max out skill levels for my weapons asap, too. My daggers are all at skill level 5, and everything else in my grid around 2 or 3. Have a handful of the event weapons and a Leviathan Omega Scepter ready to feed into them too.

I'm at rank 59 right now, so probably have a little while to go in general. Hopefully in a month I'll have filled out my grid, at least.

If by 'solo' you mean 'get him down a fifth of his HP before having to call backup', then yes, lol. But yeah, can't do that yet. Can at the very least usually secure vice-MVP (or third if my call gets attention from high level players) if I'm hosting though.

So many free draws from the celebration and got barely anything of note.

I say barely as I did get Yggy so, yay that. Pity Earth is my second most useless element (Light being my worst).

Do you crit 50% of the time with two fully maxed nodes? How does that work?

Each Crit node works independently, so while you only ever have a 25% chance to crit, every node can trigger on its own. 25% extra damage if a single one activates, but up to 50%, 75% and 100% if a character has two, three or four nodes and they all activate at the same time, though the chances of that are obviously lower than 25%.

I only got a Yggy from those too...

I just wanted another swimsuit character... :( Or most importantly, the earth gunlance girl, because gunlance. Even though I already have 9 SSR earth characters, I still need her, gunlance.

Gunlance.

May be I'll pay to buy a character this month. :(

I didn't realize the half-AP event ending would hurt so bad. No more 0 AP raids, no more efficient leeching of public raids, no more bonus renown. Just sorrow. orz

I got Summer Vira as my characters for this summer draws, a couple moons and some bad SSR summons. My bread and butter. Now Im the proud owner of a MLB Lich summon.

And here I thought I was on my way to save for sparking... What's that you say? Summer Ghandagoza? And it's only SR?! WhywouldIeverwant-

... Sure, I'll take 3.

Sort of want to cry now... But hey, hello Varuna and Cerberus!

They just released some new Summer Characters, but how much longer is "Summer" going to be considered for the banner.

I want a Summer Sarasa skin now!

One more stone and I can FLB (MLB? I can never remember which one is 3star and which one is 4 star) Agni. Who knows how many more GWs that will take. I'm not sure what I should be doing to work towards a free to play Agni grid. I guess farming Athena?

I get to join the 6000 other players who have 2 5* Eternals now.

I finally made my first GW character last month after playing for a little over a year. Was super easy too since I already had all the mats. Gonna make Nio this GW and hopefully work on 5* for her and Esser.

You want around 2-3 mlb spears from Athena raid, yeah. You also want a lot of Ecke Sachs, as they form the core of your grid's power in f2p Agni.

You may also want to get some weapons that provide HP to counter the penalty from the spears. Athena drops a good sword for this, and you can also add a HP skill to the Suzaku Katana to counteract the penalty that way.

Since most Agni builds rely on lower hp/emnity to really deal damage, you also may want to consider getting the Fire of Prometheus staff as well, since it cuts your team's HP by 5% every turn.

Man this game never lets up. Barely done with one event and the next is on the way.

Progress and next step?
-Got some of my SSR to 3* star and basically everyone I have to at least one star to unlock new skill.
-What is the best source of rupies? I can unlock one SSR to 4* but that takes 20k which is everything I have

-Since I'm going to save up and spark for a character down the line I'm also working toward Christine (11mil of 77mil chips saved) which would fill out a SSR Wind team. Good/Bad plan?
-11k Crystals saved so far

-Do quest items disappear after a while. Just did Flowers event to get the summon but now I have an excess of the 2&3 drop but not enough of the first to trade for anything good. Couldn't clear the solo sections.

-Reading on the Unite event next but what do the tokens do? Breakdowns only mention the honors?
-Is the event worthwhile only for crew members? Haven't joined any yet.
-If the Poacher's quest was any indication, getting 1mil honors is out of the question; each raid joined only get me ~5k and hosted was 15k.

-Should I just continue with the story and not worry about any events for the time being? It seems I never have the time. At 17 right now.

Story: clear out at least through the light and dark element islands. You need to start farming the showdown quests for Tiamat, Colossus, Leviathan, Yggdrasil, Luminiera, and Celeste. Doing so will get you SR magna weapons you can use as filler weapons in your grids and as skill fodder for the SSR weapons you have. Plus you will get anima needed to host the magna raids to hopefully get some SSR drops, plus pendants to buy SSR magna weapons.

Events: focus on getting the event character. If a single copy of the event summon or SSR weapon will help one of your grids go ahead and get one. I wouldn't worry about getting four copies of the weapon or summon to fully uncap until you're strong enough to at least MVP the harder event raid. Even then you will still need to grind at the event. That's the main thing you do in this game.

And on that note, if you're really early I wouldn't save up for a spark yet. I'd wait until you have at least two or three SSR characters in each element. You gotta have something to look forward to at the end of the month to balance out all the grinding.

I have her and I love her, but she's really an SR with SSR stats. The TH2 and debuff resist down are nice though. Absolutely get all the guns though, they reduce for 201 stones each.

Good man.

Here is motivation and more motivation to MAINTAIN DISCIPLINE

-Reading on the Unite event next but what do the tokens do? Breakdowns only mention the honors?

Pick a weapon (meta will tell you dagger, I will tell you axe) and try to get it. I was rank 30something my first GW and I got it to MLB day three via eyeballs and leeching the EX+ raid.
