Dragon Ball Super |OT8| There is no justice or evil, only survival or erasure.

Why didn't they just merge all twin universes with each other and have only 6 universes. Then they wouldn't have to erase any...

I expect something like this to be the outcome of the tournament, while every ep is good there's no tension because everything will turn out alright.. I'm waiting for that Freeza curve ball tho.

I love how it took this long for the idiots in U11 to realise that they actually have to put in effort. 6 members of their team get clowned, a seventh get overwhelmed by brute force and eliminated, and the rabbit gets handled when he has to face someone that is actually capable of adjusting in a fight so his pure speed isn't worth much. Gonna be great seeing that universe get Zeno'd.
On the other hand, its incredibly smart to have fighters like jiren and toppo and to a extent dyspo stay back while occasionally picking off people, unlike U7 where their strongest fighters all headed out to tire themselves out

It could worse how GoT characters are teleporting all over the place. Granted, it doesn't bother me at all if it moves along the plot ¯_(ツ)_/¯

My man.

If you start thinking about the last time Goku learned something you would have to go back to him arriving on earth during the robo- freeza invasion.
Actually. He didn't learn the mafuba till just recently in super

I wouldn't take Toppo saying that they are done with Justice literally. I think he will just cut out the poses and constant justice talk and get down to business.

Didn't Vegeta do that SSG/SSB trick in the manga? Come on Toei! Don't try and make Goku seem smart, we're not falling for it.

I'm interested in the sudden shift in the Pride Troopers. Now that they're getting serious, they're abandoning their justice spiel. I never did see Jiren as the cat rescuing type anyway.

Yeah, I'm interested in seeing what's going to happen going forward too. The fact that they are super heroes has probably only been shackling them so far. I think Toppo especially, is going to show why he is a being who should be feared.

The twin universes generally have very similar universe rankings. It wouldn't really improve them.

Plus we'd have GoDs like Beerus and Champa attempting to work together, it simply wouldn't work.
I wonder if Roshi will use the Mafuuba next week, what if he sacrifices himself to disqualify a powerful opponent? Would that be the first major death in Super? Not counting Future Bulma's death, that shit was savage as fuck and she never came back...

I'm mostly judging by their Hakaishins and the few individuals that have had a presence so far. I know the nature of the tournament itself forces them to be cruel, but there legit hasn't been a single pleasant fighter. Even the lovey dovey U2 seemed kinda villainy.

Universe 3? A robot army spearheaded by a mad scientist
Universe 4? Their pre-tournament actions were totally villainy
Universe 6? Spearheaded by a dude that kills for money and a Freeza clone.
Universe 7? Legit 9 assholes+Gohan. They even had a spare asshole to replace the asshole that went in hibernation!
Universe 9? Duh, so much bad blood
Universe 10? The superficial universe shaped by Gowasu obsession with YouTube views and Zamasu's insanity.

It's no wonder the mortal quality rating of these universes are so low and Pappa Whis and Zeno want to get rid of these universes.

Universe 7 in particular is amateur hour, only second to Universe 9.

Not sure what you expect, you say you understand that the tournament forces them to fight with their lives at stake. What exactly is a pleasant fighter in your opinion? Imo it would ruin the the fight if a character was all friendly and respectfull, there is no place for that in this specific tournament. We had Obuni who was a respectfull fighter towards Gohan, but that's as far as they should go.

Makes me wonder if toei took one from the manga or if it was mentioned in Toriyamas outline somewhere.

Gonna be really interesting if we ever get to see more of Toriyamas outlines one day (all we have so far is manga/anime differences and Toyable holding up episode 1's outline from what I recall)

Seems like it. I think it'll be interesting though if they start cutting out their morals a bit in order to win and get more brutal.

What he said isn't wrong about the tournament either, it's win or get erased. They shouldn't be worried about justice.

Gohan must be the one to show them what true justice is and show them how a real warrior poses

I don't think the mafuba will kill Roshi.
He'll probably just join Dyspo, Kale, and Caulifla in the resting circle until their energy comes back.

Maybe Tien completes the mafuba for Roshi and gets eliminated.

Goku learned the Evil Containment Wave just a story arc ago.

Toei has a boner for transformations but it would bother them too much to come up with even just ONE new technique.

Outside of Rage, the only new transformation Toei made was Super Saiyan Rage, unless you want to count that parasite than turned Barry Khan into a Power Ranger monster. The rest were created by Toriyama and most went to the villains since Goku himself hasn't gotten a new form in over two years.

Actually. He didn't learn the mafuba till just recently in super

Hmm, you got point but that technique is usually reserved for special situations it's not like he can bust it out whenever. I mean like kaioken type technique for battle. Last tech he learned was instant transmisión, he hasn't developed nothing since then.

Took them long enough

Though I'm interested to see what that means

To be fair, they aren't exactly being tired out. Goku and he gets are still going strong, 17 and 18 don't tire out and seem to be working together, Vegeta is doing fine, and Freeza is probably off torturing a squirrel or something. They seem to be doing just fine with the strongest going out and putting in effort. 11 held their best back, and got their shit rocked. If Jiren and Toppo had just gone out and did their jobs the battle would likely be almost over already.

The music was bland in 97 and 99, but every other episode I've really enjoyed the music.

More than past arcs, though the Future Trunks arc does have good moments.

Actually he can. Roshi even mused about using the Evil Containment Wave to throw people out of the ring. The only special part is sealing part.

And he also knows the Fusion Dance since he was the one who taught Goten and Trunks.

Wait how is Piccolo, Kirllin and the rest assholes? I only see two.

Got bored again, so I thought I'd double-check to see how many people are left.

U2-8
U3-7
U4-7
U6-9
U7-9
U11-3

So we have 43 people left, which means we are almost half way through the initial 80 characters that started this fight. Also out of those left, we haven't seen the following:

five of U2's guy and what they can do

The remaining seven fighters out of U3 that seem to have not done much (to which I'm trying to figure out why the scientist looking, guy, is allowed to carry a cane with him if no weapons are allowed...)

Same could be said of U4, but since their episode is coming up, we might get to explore what a few of the seven can do (besides Ganos who attacked Goku at the start and the "unveiling" of the two mysterious fighters, which I'm convinced that they are insects that are so small that they can't be attacked, thus it is almost like an unfair advantage since you can't really attack them).

The two Namekians and the pig looking fighter out of U6 have not been seen yet.

All member of U7 have done their fair share of work, so no comment there.

And finally waiting for Jiren to start wrecking people's shit (since all we've seen is him slap away a heart and at least took out Kale in one attack even though it wasn't an elimination).

---

As redundant as it is to state this out loud, it does feel as though that those who have not been fully revealed in U2-U4 are going to be our last bit of filler before we start to reach the end of this fight. Definitely will be nice to see U11's "JUSTICE IS OVER!" rampage when they decide to go on the attack again.

Wait how is Piccolo, Kirllin and the rest assholes? I only see two.

Now to be fair... Krillin did through his stinky shoe at a blind person... Piccolo though has been pretty chill though, so I'd agree that he is probably the only good person out of U7 alongside with Gohan.

Too bad Gogeta ain't canon, something I wish for Super to do one day.

Oh, now you got me wanting to see that lol, Tien's participation has amounted to shit so far, that'd be a good way to go.

Plot twist, Tien gets knocked into the mafuba by Magetta, and gets sealed instead. Roshi not realizing this, throws it off the stage, eliminating Tien.

Am I missing something or is Kunshi just the dumbest pride tropper

Did he really think he had an impenetrable defense just because he surrounded himself with his explosive energy so that no one could walk over to him when every fighter in this tournament can fart out a ki blast?

Kind of a shame too since Krillin has already put in more work that Tien did with one elimination and two assists to Tien's one assist with Roshi earlier. Would be nice to see him do more, or at least get one elimination before he gets kicked out.

The other reason why I hope that Tien doesn't get eliminated so early is that if that were to happen, we basically then know the order of how people get eliminated thanks to the ending, and that would take some of the excitement out of knowing who will be thrown out next.

To be fair, I
for some reason
didn't expect Goku to just charge straight through them all. Got quite a laugh at that one.

Gogeta in Fusion Reborn was no nonsense and didn't even talk in the original Japanese version, at least I don't recall. GT changed his personality to make him a clone of Vegito.

ZenoBlacksOutGT.gif

A no-nonsense fusion would be great

Ah, I haven't been paying attention to that theory, then if Roshi gets eliminated next week it would invalidate it, right?
