Die, what
Zaverious betting Toppo gonna kill Gohan.
I approve of this title.
Toppo got some hits in and he wasn't full power yet, we don't know the actual max power he has.

Obvs it's hard discern power levels in Super, but Toppo was played around with. Goku felt very confident against him.

I mean you can't really criticize Hit's fight.
He was constantly improving when he fought Goku, and SSBKK also was faster than time itself for some reason. But SSG is apparently the fast one now.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Super Saiyan God is slower and Goku got stronger since the Champa Saga.

The manga can explain power levels in every page for all I care.

Fucking up Hit,Black,Zamasu and Trunks characters and sucking Goku 's dick to the point of giving him hakai off screen are unforgivable sins.

"Subconsciously healing while cheerleading" Trunks can fuck right off.

As a Goku fan who would love to see him used Haki in the anime (take that over Super Saiyan God switching), I have to agree. Especially since he never saw the technique on-scene in the manga unlike the anime.

Toppo never landed a solid blow on Goku once he went Blue.

In the clash they were more even. I think Toppo just didn't realize he had to go completely serious until the right when the fight got stopped.

After the brief clads, Toppo tried to attack Goku and Goku stomped on his face.

Look at the NEP, I realized something.

Roshi is carrying around a small bottle for the Evil Containment Wave and I am assuming the seal is painted on it, much like what Kami tried to do against Piccolo. Why didn't he give Goku that kind of bottle in the Future Trunks Saga instead of a giant jar and the seal had to be slapped on there?

He did have to seal it if he got it to work against Piccolo, which is what the latter did..

My guess is that you need more practice and precision to hit that tiny bottle.

That isn't what I said. I said he could have painted the seal directly on the bottle. That is what Kami did during the 23rd tournament and seems what Roshi will do in Episode 105 instead of using a paper seal.

Actually, that's a very good reason and I will take it as truth until proven otherwise. Doesn't explain why they used a paper seal instead of painting it on the jar.

He tanked the Kamehameha and was only upset that his suit got a rip. I'd say they were about even.

That aside, we need Gohan vs Jiren. Jiren will glare at Gohan, squint a bit, then jump out of the ring in understanding.

Tien getting his ass kicked Gohan wasn't even that bad. You expected that.
Him getting knocked out by Roshi was worse.

I certainly did not expect Gohan to beat him like someone just crushed an android's head.
Roshi stuff was whatever, got hit with some special technique, he can showcase something in his sparring match, it's not over for him, preview is giving him some hype. Then Gohan happened....

Is it bad that I really wish Tien was just sandbagging this whole time just to surprise us in the tournament where he one-shots Jiren.

I seriously want someone to be the strongest besides Jiren, and I really want someone besides Goku or Hit to take him down.

Yeah.... I guess he did kinda go overboard in a sparring match. Probably wanted to release his pent up frustration/make someone else feel a humiliating defeat after what happened to him.

Gohan still has the most embarrassing loss though. Vegeta is up there too with the Hit fight lol. Tien got off easy compared them.

Toppo didn't tanked the Kamehameha since he was clearly winded from it and sweating. Tank suggest that it did absolutely nothing like Goku getting hit by Piccolo's energy blast in Episode 90 or everything dealing with Beerus in Episode 8.

Tien getting ruined by Gohan is his saibaman moment, I crack up every time it's brought up.

Don't get the comparison. Yamcha got killed by an inferior opponent who he defeated. Tien got ruined by a opponent who is laughably stronger than him and had no real way of defeating.

It's like the different of Golden Frieza vs. Vegeta and Super Saiyan 3 Goku being two-shotted by Beerus.

Dude, seriously don't think about it too hard. I'm just talking for me, Gohan killing Tien will crack me up until the end of time just as saibaman killing Yamcha did.

I agree with this. It's amazing that Tenshinhan got owned 2 episodes in a row lol.

Yeah, that is what made Tien the joke of this arc. If he just lost to Gohan in Episode 90, it would have been funny but no one would of held it against Tien. If Tien didn't spar with Gohan and Episode 89 still happened, he would have been made fun, but it probably would have been brushed off for the most part. Happened back-to-back, however....

I personally put Vegeta losing to Hit and round 1 with Black as being more humiliating than Gohan. Yeah, Gohan looked more pathetic, but he fought a foe way out of his league. Vegeta got toasted by people within his power range with Black adding salt by calling him the 'warm-up'. Black having Goku's face just added to the humiliation and it's one of the few TFS moments I can quote and find funny:

Vegeta: How are you so much more powerful than me!?

Black: Because Vegeta, a rose by any other name. (takes out energy blade and stabs Vegeta) is still Goku.

Vegeta falls down

Goku: Huh, different timeline, same results, huh best buddy?

Trunks looks on with no surprise on his face.

Dude, seriously don't think about it too hard. I'm just talking for me, Gohan killing Tien will crack me up until the end of time just as saibaman killing Yamcha did.

Fair point.

Have you guys talked about that reused Hit combo animation? I liked it so much better in this episode as opposed to when he did it to Vegeta.

Honestly, I'm trying to figure out where Toppo killing off Gohan came from and I'm trying to figure out how that would work in a practical sense.

Honestly, I can only think of one situation where that would work: If it comes down to Goku and Gohan vs Jiren and Toppo where if while fighting Toppo was outmatch and was about to get thrown out (and time is running out to where if U7 would win by having more fighters), Toppo could possibly in a last-ditch effort either opt out to murder Gohan and accept the punishment for (the greater good of keeping his universe alive) or could try and take down Gohan with him as the two fall out.

As fun as it would be to see Toppo just go on a killing spree, I feel like he wouldn't fall so low as that (or perhaps he would and thus becomes the newest "God of Destruction" in the process and overthrows the current Clown God).

---

Just thought of one more scenario. Say supposedly you have three universes: 7, 11, and one other one. From there, you could say that one other universe has 2 as does 11 and U7 is one fighter away from obliteration (Let's say Gohan since Goku wouldn't work in this situation). It looks like it is going to be the end and U7 will be eliminated out of a technicality when suddenly Toppo looks over to Gohan and decides to do something completely reckless: He murders one of the other Universe's guys, thus making it so that one universe is down to one person while he disqualifies himself in the process, thus giving Gohan a fighting chance to preserve the Justice that was lost during the last 48 minutes. Honestly, if it were Goku, it clearly wouldn't work out that way since Toppo probably would just opt out to murder Goku if there was a rhyme or reason, but Gohan? he perhaps could feel some guilt there (although overall, this does seem pointless since, at this point, he probably wouldn't try and disqualify himself since there are only three people left on his team).

It's so weird to me that only krillin has been knocked out so far. It makes it feel like there's no stakes, they're just wrecking everyone, even the pride troopers.

It's starting to make me feel like there's gotta be something else that's gonna happen with this saga, some twist on the rules is gonna come at some point. The most obvious is that Goku's gonna get eliminated and the rest of them are gonna have to step up, I wouldn't mind it, but also not exactly super exciting.

Wonder what's going on with freeza, o almost forgot he was in this. I imagine he's goin to make some plea for the gods that's going to fuck things up.

My biggest issue with the whole Gohan vs. Toppo is that they don't have any real connection other than the shallow Gohan plays superhero (something Toppo abandoned in this episode), like striking poses, and they're the leader of their teams (both which they ironically suck at). Toppo has far more connections with Goku since he called him evil and have PTSD about him. Frieza seems more connected to Toppo since he really is evil and would be everything Toppo fights against and Frieza would be lowdown enough to attack someone who calls themselves a pagan of justice.

But, that goes into a problem I have with Gohan in this tournament so far. What is his role? He's supposed to be the 'leader', but his leadership role amounts to standing in a circle and then pulling a Freddy Jones. He doesn't even have a gimmick like the androids with their endless energy and the humans who are supposed to be weak, but skilled. He's just kind of there at the moment.

We can say the same about Vegeta, but his role is fairly easy to guess....jobber.
