is that Long War mod for XCOM: EU worth playing?

Best XCOM experience by far.

However, it's pretty damn difficult. That said, they do give you some easy modules, an easy settings that you can replace the original with, AND you could always tinker with the .ini settings if you want to.

But difficulty aside, they also add a bunch of great new content.

I don't know why but I always find it hilarious when people in their early/mid 30s bristle at the fact that they're millennials.

I never tried Long War on either EU/EW or XCOM 2 because it looks like it takes the minor gripes I have with the vanilla games and amplifies them into major ones. Poor tutorialization and lots of obfuscated information leading to some needless trial and error, the campaign already overstays its welcome a bit, some battles already go on for too long if you're playing optimally, the difficulty curve is already wonky, etc.. 100+ hour campaigns with longer missions and a more time-consuming metagame that you need to research/watch videos of prior to playing to have a chance of success sounds like a nightmare to me.

I think it's really impressive with a lot of great features, but I'll stick to vanilla with a bunch of QoL mods.

Because every day there's dozens of hacks out there writing awful thinkpieces about how millennials are actually the problem with the world and if you're a rube reading those headlines your natural reaction is "well thank god I am not a millennial!"

I just called both EB Games and Vidéotron.

The Vidéotron rep told me his superior said to him they would get the SNES Mini, but they didn't know how many they would get.

The EB Games rep said "I can't give you any information until after the Nintendo press conference at 13:00 EST".

So I don't know what to make of it. Also, there's going to be a Nintendo conference in seven minutes?

The GB mobile video player is so bad. Stutters, no indication of time at all, awful to scrub through, sometimes gets caught in an infinite loading wheel spin. I hope they are working on that.

Dan is a really bad teammate.

I'd suggest Alex is as well. Alex may be more of a teamplayer than Dan but that isn't saying much. Alex was glued to that tree near the end of the stream for awhile and didn't support his team until the last second, which was too little too late at that point. If your team is getting shot at, you gotta go towards them and help. In general Alex just seems to be super cautious and afraid to die. I understand why, but your team needs you in there with them. It's especially bad (to me) when we're watching his perspective in a stream.

going from AoM back to SR4 (which has been pretty consistently enjoyable so far) sure made AoM look even worse to me

Agents of Mayhem is not a good game, but there were brief times that I experienced feelings that resembled enjoyment.
