Lol some mercy got tilted when I solo ulted her with Reaper. I analyzed the situation and knew mercy had her game changing ulti ready and decided to take her out immediately. Proceeded to tell me how Mercy shouldn't be solo ulted in any situation. Alright then.

But....but Nuno, we'd be like Samus. Do you not understand?

We'd be like Samus.

This guy gets it.

Edit: In fact, I think I would actually be willing to take a 200 HP hit to D.Va's mech if it meant that D.Va could come out with the rocket jump and another offensive ability. Why not go full Samus and give her an energy whip.

No thank you.

I love picking DF for the sole purpose of taking out supports. Punch. Escape with Uppercut + slam combo.

Repeat.

Solo ult mercy for the salt.

I think the biggest flaw with Mercy is that Rez is still the most unintuitive ult to get value out of in the game.

low level: 4-5 man rez and instant victory

high level: 4-5 man rez and it's just a rewipe

It's a pretty bad sign when the worst way to use the ult at high level is this absolutely soul crushing thing to deal with at all levels but some of the highest. It's also a bad sign when a non interactive playstyle becomes dominate in general. Rez has honestly been problematic since beta, don't know why it has survived this long.

Well, it was easily punishable before the buff at least.

No, it actually wasn't. Kinda. People forget what Mercy was back in the day aka a year ago.

The invuln buff is p big but it doesn't actually make rez that much better than before. The fact is a lot of people could've been doing the same shit they're doing with Mercy now pre invuln buff. The main thing that buff did was put rez back in the spotlight at a time where people were learning more about the systems. It also just makes it feel a lot better than it actually is.

Yeah you're prolly right, I just remember killing mercy quite a bit during her rez line and shutting it down. Which can't be done now.

But mercy is single handedly ruining my life no way she's not actually good!

A character can be ass and still ruin the game in multiple different ways for different people :p

She ruins my games by being on my team for instance. She also can be really obnoxious to fight against and the Mercy mirror is terribly not fun in any way.

Well, had a terrible day in comp and went 1-5-1, my only win coming from a solo q game. Another 100 SR lost and now I'm not far off where I started this season after being placed. Tired of queuing in stacks and being derailed by the randoms.

I've now lost around 300 SR from where I was three weeks ago. All about that steady decline before season end. It's going to take some serious carrying and luck to even gain some of that back. FML

Game on Hanamura on defense, the other team starts saying they have a thrower and to report him (he was Torb), first round won easily on the first point.
Second round, we have winston, genji, hanzo, mccree, mercy and zen, I ask my team if they're confident in our comp since we don't really have a lot to protect from the turrets, no one replies, I tell them to take it seriously anyway. Guess what? No one but Winston can go through the gate since they're running orisa, torb, junkrat and symmetra. At 30 seconds left I swap to doomfist and clear the point after hanzo kills 2 with a dragon, we get the point and win.
No matter how much you're throwing, someone else is throwing harder than you.

I solo shatter genjis zarya mercy and they get so mad lmao

I do this whenever I get the chance.

I also like to pin her.

Edit:

This dude was on point:

Wonder if he leaked something else after this.

Is that two all Korean teams in the league now?

Yes, and at the least I expect Kongdoo Panthera to get picked up as well if this is a thing that's going to be happening.

All of this is outside of the likely numerous Korean players that will get picked up too.

This game is so ducking goood. I have a huge backlog, including Uncharted 4 and Horizon ZD and I can't help but throw on a podcast and jump into QP for like an hour.
When I first started, I would main effin Bastion. I liked him because of turret mode and the fact he could heal himself whenever. Now I've moved on to Roadhog because his shotgun wrecks people and he has such high health and can heal himself. People on here gave me the advice of trying to get good with one hero in every class so I'm also good with soldier and reaper, Lucia and zen. I got a super dope skin for genuine so I want to try to get better with him and today I was dabbling with Sombra and Orissa and had tons of fun.
Anyone hear anything an about Xbox One X patch yet?

Its so hard to win Mystery Heroes and Total Mayhem. People are so dumb with the heroes they choose. I won one match but the past five have been loses and C9's everywhere. I thought people tried to win in Arcade? Bring back No Limits!

ps4 pro didn't get much so don't expect anything huge

I love when GM players shit on me for picking Torbjorn. He's stupidly good on some choke points, and he's almost as good of a tankbuster as Reaper, I basically kept their D.va and Winston constantly unable to dive in for fear of turret fire or getting obliterated by me at point blank.

Micro Missile Stats:

https://us.battle.net/forums/en/overwatch/topic/20758736655#post-5

Right now here are the stats:

Number of missiles: 18
Shots per second: 11
Explosion Damage: 8 (has damage falloff)
Impact Damage: 4
Radius: 1.5m (for comparison, Pharah's rockets are 2.5m radius)
Cooldown: 8s

Obviously these are subject to change, and I am sure you guys will get a better feel for them when we get the PTR up.

I still need to see how fast they actually fly to know how much use they'll be and how spread out the barrage is.

But I like that we have a bunch of missiles. I was expecting like 4 or something, but we basically have a mini-pharah ult here, that's awesome.

Edit: Oh, if D.Va gets damaged by her own explosions, that's bullshit.

Just remove self damage as a feature already, goddammit.

Edit 2:

https://us.battle.net/forums/en/overwatch/topic/20758736655?page=4#post-71

They fire straight at 40 m/s. For comparison Pharah's rockets move at 35 m/s atm.

So they're slightly faster than Pharah's rockets. Wow, I can't wait to see this in action.

Edit 3: Ah, weaknesses exposed

https://us.battle.net/forums/en/overwatch/topic/20758736655?page=5#post-84

You cannot cancel them. Pressing the button fires them all over time (roughly 1.6s as mentioned). There is also a 0.5s delay before they start firing, similar to Mei's alternate fire.

Also, yes they will self damage her if she is close enough.

I guess I don't mind the commitment needed to use them. They're gonna be pretty powerful, from the stats shown here.

Self damage is stupid and lame.

Performance gains are being adjusted for season 6! Finally!

https://us.battle.net/forums/en/overwatch/topic/20758826275#1

Also apparently people in Diamond and below can drop to lower skill tiers now. It's a little more complicated than that though so I recommend you click the link.

What the fuck? Does this mean that they match based on tier and not the actual skill rating?

They should borrow from Tekken and put a DEMOTION MATCH notification on people about to be dropped lol

Not sure I understand.

Are they just talking about losing the icon? Or people not dropping below 2500, 3000, etc until the game decides that they shouldnt be on that skill bracket?

I still want varied SR gains/drops if your team was a heavy favorite/underdog.

Ie: your team has a 250SR disadvantage and you win, you get bonus SR while the losing team would lose extra SR.

I think it's just the icon. I.E. if you make it to Platinum, then fall below 2500 and stay below it for 5 matches, your icon will switch back to Gold until you hit 2500 again. But it won't change if your last match was a win.

Yeah, it's so inconsistent.

That makes more sense.

I was wondering if they were talking about the hidden skill rating or something like that.

Mercy: "Mei, you haven't aged a day. What's your secret?"
Mei: "Cryo-stasis! But I'm not sure I would recommend it."

That interaction just reached a whole new level of sad. :(

I've lost count the amount of times I've killed Mercy first in the match deciding fight and yet I absolutely despise her character design. It's infuriating for you to lose a game because your Mercy just doesn't understand what to do if they cant hide for res and I feel bad for the enemy team for losing a game because they cant realistically defend their Mercy. Imagine if that was a Lucio/Zen who could've ulted to save themselves or an Ana who could've slept me. It's not fun to completely babysit a character.

And it's absolutely no fun to go on a hide and seek mission to possibly find the Mercy whilst your team is engaging a 5v5 which they will probably lose if you cant find this obscure place near spawn.

Next season I'm about 90% sure I'm shifting to an Offense/Defense main. Getting real tired of getting forced to tank in situations where we have shitty Heals or Offense players simply because of how many hours I have on Rein and Winston.

Makes sense they're doing that imo. See no reason for players to keep their diamond logo when I've been playing with them since 2500 (they dropped to 25 as well).

It's gonna be a ride bouncing back between plat and diamond tho. Usually stay in high plat / low diamond the entire season.
