I worked in a Publix deli for about 6 months before I moved back to Austin. Whenever I go back to Florida to visit family one of my first stops is at a Publix deli for one of those Italian subs.

We had a Publix sub thread awhile back and this was recommended. It is a fantastic sub.

publix subs are amazing but i always thought the chicken tender one was overrated (it's actually pretty gross if you plan on eating it later). simple turkey is the best.

Family lived in Florida, publix subs were a staple every time I went to visit. They moved to TX.

I wept.

I have never seen that flavor but I would try the hell out of it. I wonder if they pick their flavors regionally or by store because i never saw that banana one either.

In depressingly sad news today I went to Publix today to get a RX, check for water and get some wings and check for pumpkin pie ice cream. I popped a couple xanax knowing it was going to be super packed and id be freaking out. No packs of water of course but picked up a couple liter bottles of some water to throw in the freezer. No pumpkin ice cream either. Worse of all THEY WERE WIPED OUT OF CHICKEN! No fried chicken, no wings, not even those leathery ugly looking unbreaded wings no one gets that just sit there under the heat lamp. The lady said they were filling large orders and were slammed and it would be over an hour wait, FUCK! I was already freaking out because of how packed it was and there was no way I could wait an hour. I had to stop and get McNuggets instead. And they had no hot mustard so I had to eat them plain.

I with I lived closer to a Publix. I'm equidistant from like 3 Publix stores but they're all not as close as I wish they were.

When I don't want to be a fat fuck, I get a whole ultimate instead of a whole chicken tender sub. But usually I want to be a fat fuck and get the chicken tender.

Ultimate is damn good, though. So good.

Just tried the deli for the first time. Got the chicken tender sub with buffalo. Might be the best sandwich I've ever had. They really stuff it full of toppings. The macros are also surprisingly good. Can't afford spend $10 on a sandwich every day but I will now on a few times a week.

Its funny because Publix has been the closest food place to my job for ages now.

My son was recently diagnosed with Celiac. He was so sad when he realized no more free cookies and no more chicken tender subs.

How are the regional subs?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers sub: White sub roll, guacamole, Boar’s Head Spicy Jerk Turkey, Boar’s Head Chipotle Gouda, shredded lettuce, mango peach salsa stirred well and lightly crushed plantain chips.

Jacksonville Jaguars sub: White sub roll, chicken tenders, Boar’s Head bacon, deli imported cheddar cheese, deli sweet cole slaw and barbecue mayonnaise.

Miami Dolphins sub: White sub roll, mayonnaise, Boar’s Head chipotle chicken, shredded lettuce, mango peach salsa, drained and fried maduros plantains.

I've never had the chicken tender sub but it sounds like I'll have to. It's just so hard to *not* have a Boar's Head ultimate.

Also, not enough posts recommend their lemonade.

I eat the sushi more often than I should. It's not restaurant quality of course, but it's good.

The Publix I worked at had a hot bar for (mostly) Asian foods and I liked that for a lot of my lunches lol.

This x1000. I may get creative during off peak hours and get some shit like this but usually there's a line so I just order an ultimate or a tender. Be respectful, people.

I really need the powers that be in Publix to bring back the Asian BBQ sauce. I had an associate recommend that I put it on the Chicken Tenders sub and it changed my life. It was incredible, I haven't had a tenders sub simcd they got rid of it.
