I think Oda just doesn't like Super Saiyan style power ups where a character gets mad and turns into a big glowing badass out of nowhere. He seems to like playing with what he's got.
If anything it could just be minks becoming more feral or something and sorta uncontrollable like Monster Chopper.
Tfw the closest thing we have to a Super Saiyan powerup is probably Cavendish

- Pedro met Roger when he was a child (Wanda too).
- Perospero is still alive but caramel he created is disappearing.
- Carrot try to attack Katakuri, he defeats her quickly.
- Luffy grabs Katakuri. Jinbe active Coup de Burst that hits in Big Mom face.
- Luffy carry Katakuri to Mirror World, the he breaks the mirror. Luffy wants to figth Katakuri alone.

Also damn, if I wasn't biased towards Carrot, I now finally get the Pedro argument, though it took a flashback to do it, which is obviously a big deal...

Also liked that Oda didn't do the cliche thing where Carrot would suddenly get a strike or two in, she got promptly stomped. Still, it means a lot that he portrayed her as not hesitating to attack Katakuri despite the gap in strength.

EDIT: I don't remember,does brulee connect to every mirror on whole cake island or in all totland? because if it's whole cake island only,i can't see many place where he can pop up back..maybe in a mirror in germa kingdom?

Also I can't help but wonder if he gave Carrot her trademark gloves? Or maybe it's always been a weapon that she preferred to use instead of a sword?
I know, but there were some people who were really convinced that she'd go berserk on him. As for me, I was just happy that she tried, despite the gap in strength. She's not a girl that easily scares, so I figured she'd try, regardless of how futile it was. Was really sad to watch.
She should be able to travel anywhere in Whole Cake Island.

Also damn, Pedro really might be dead. Yea, yea, it's One Piece, but...
- Oda purposefully teased us by having Nami think it was him that got up, only for it to be Perospero instead (Also I did not think Perospero would get up that quickly, so that's even more concerning as to what happened to Pedro, who was right next to him)
- Perospero lost an arm, and that was with coating himself with armor, imagine the damage Pedro would've taken
- Pedro says in the past "I'll make sure to choose to at least choose where I die", which he did since it's not like he expects to survive that kamikaze attempt
- Roger told him everyone gets their time to shine, and the bomb would be Pedro's moment (for us readers anyways), with Carrot being the next "person to shine"
- Says he's content being the foundation for the world that the masters await, I'd say being the key to the Straw Hats finally getting a chance to solidly create distance from Big Mom is good enough
And then lastly, Oda's continuing to put emphasis on how Carrot is currently in a state of emotional turmoil over his presumed death. It really would put a damper on things to say the least if it turned out that he was alive.
I feel that if he does turn out to be alive, it better be through that damn Pumpkin Homie he ran into or something. For him to just randomly get up and meet up with them again would be lame as hell. That said, I'd obviously prefer for him to remain dead.
