Interesting thing to note. We'll see how these systems go in the coming weeks/months.
Unfortunately it wouldn't power on at all, I even went to a different store to buy an S and try the power lead from there but it made no difference.
It's completely dead. I tried different power outlets too, although I was skeptical the power outlet was the issue when other devices were fine.
Initially I thought I was being stupid and just forgot to power it on at the plug or something, or maybe not connect the cable properly, but I spent about an hour earlier trying everything I could think of.
I can get another X eventually but minimal chance of another Scorpio I imagine....
Some supersampled 1080p shots off the X. Looks amazing on my 1080p oled. Less impressive on my 4k monitor since 1080p doesnt scale well on 4k sets. Overall really impressed. Assassins Creed, GOW, Forza, and Halo look incredilbe

As you can see from the pic, RedOut and COD WW2 still have not received their patch. IDK whats going on, but these should have been ready by now.
Were they all in front of that radiotor too?
I killed a 360 when I moved someone and my setup was in front of the radiator. First thing I noticed was it was louder than normal, then the graphics went weird, then it Red ringed
Ya same play fine on USB to TV. Ughhh this needs to be addressed .

I'll never get this..first amazon fucked me now target.. says delivery by 8 pm today.. it's still in Tennessee as of an hour ago. No way it gets to VA...
They're fantastic. I've been wanting to get a new pair of open headphones for a while now and the HD650s had been at the top of my list but I didn't really need them, so I waited ages until I saw these on MassDrop and it was just silly to say no at that price.
Although these are HD6XXs the only difference is they're a different colour and you get a shorter cable. I do actually prefer the colour of the HD650s over the HD6XXs but not so much that I'd be willing to pay twice as much for them.
it wasn't too bad really.
I got the Sennheiser HD6XXs from MassDrop for $199.99, which I paid for months ago. I'm in the UK though so I did have to pay the expected import charges but it's still an absolute bargain for what is essentially a pair of HD650s in a different colour.
The Scorpio edition was the standard £449.99 UK price.
I've actually spent more time today messing with the headphones than the X.

Google isn't the friendliest to their direct competitors.
Youtube seems to be a favorite weapon of choice for them, too. I think they pulled some shit with the FireTV YouTube app for awhile to get something from Amazon.

How does the 4K HDR footage look like on your PC? When I watch the HDR captures on my 5K iMac the colors are very dull. I understand its HDR footage on a non-HDR computer but I think the difference is too big. When I watch it on my LG 4K HDR OLED it looks amazing of course. But for now I don't see the point of using these captures on my computer or YouTube with all these dull and flat colors.

1440p support is probably something that'll be coming in a future build. I know some MS higher-up confirmed it would work, but they tend to be working on stuff well ahead of the public builds, and have a tendency to forget how much stuff is in the builds they're using that isn't publicly available yet.
Hmm, I've got a Scorpio edition and not encountered any issues as of yet though I'm only running it in max 1080p. If I had a problem with the cooler, I'd probably see issues at even these resolutions right? What I don't want to happen is have it running fine in 1080 but when I do get a 4k TV it then stop working

Is there a way to buy an extended warranty for this thing online? I just googled it and the only thing I see is to request it in a Microsoft Store within 45 days of purchase? I mean I would but I don't think I have any MS stores near me? I know they used to allow it online... hmm. I turned down the Gamestop warranty because I just planned to get it through MS.

Damn...so console is good but my Scorpio controller right trigger has a slight scrape when using it. Very annoying. I'm guessing we can exchange these through Microsoft too, right?

Yeah my options there are 720p or 1080p
Mine was at $150.00 also, but they told me if I upgraded to the elite pro member I would get extra trade in value. I had enough points, so the upgrade was free. After all was said and done it still was $150.00 and the guy was puzzled why it did not go up in value. He pulled over his boss, and was told to override and give me a extra $30.00 in trade value. Perhaps I got lucky?
But 1080p is 2min and 720p is 5 min. I remember just this weekend I recorded a 10 min 1080p video on the S. Why is it less on the X?
