Buy Dragon's Dogma, Get Resident Evil 6 demo early (360 = July 3rd, PS3 = Sept 4th)

The delay is almost certainly not related to quality (that doesn't mean the quality won't be notably weaker on PS3), the demo is so far in advance of the release that it's almost certainly nothing to do with marketing, the PS3 demo isn't coming late, the 360 demo is coming early, very early.
That is the same thing.
What makes you say that? SFxT has more characters on PS 3/Vita than the 360 version. This is just business, nothing personal.

If the marketing division decide a date that is optimal for the release of a demo, and you release a demo two months earlier, it's early. If you release a demo two months later, it's late.
The game somewhat sparked my interest when a friend told me about it. I was planning to buy it 'some time', but with this RE6 demo I guess it'll be a first day purchase after all.
Shame PS3 users have to wait longer though. Usually it doesn't differ more than a couple of days.

No word, but looking at Capcom's track record this generation, I'd expect a PC version sometime down the road.
After seeing how jaggy and janky the game looks on consoles, I'm definitely waiting on an eventual PC version. I'm really intrigued by their ideas for this game and don't want to have it ruined because of technical shortcomings and the platform its own. (Which has been my stance for most third party console exclusives over the last year, and it's served me well.)

Yeah I don't really know what you're talking about. You make it sound like this runs poorly, which it doesn't. Game looks fine on the lead platform (360).

When was the last shit MTF game on PS3? Lost Planet 1?
I thought it was a toss up really. Better textures and AA on the 360, 60fps cut-scenes and no tearing on PS3.

I'm really starting to feel like certain developers/publishers are comfortably making revenue off the MSoft scene alone with these kinds of deals considering that an entire parallel user base on another console is getting half-assed after-thought port jobs and ancient demos.

They have both 'moneyhatted' different things i don't think all those extra characters in SFxT came cheap for Sony.

No, I didn't want to imply that it runs terribly like Bayonetta PS3 or something, just the regular limitations of current gen consoles which I want to avoid. Framerate dips, 720p etc

Which i don't understand why. It's not like resident evil sells consoles. Can't wait for the exclusive commercials too, cause that worked beautifully for FF13.

That's exactly what MS wants, yes.
RE6 is announced for PC, but not day and date with the consoles.

Oh, yeah, absolutely. If I only had a ps3 then I would never consider passing up an MTf game. It's simply a case of it being better on 360, not awful on ps3.
As of Armored Core 5 you can still burn 360 demos to a disc and play them.
Anyways so far I haven't been impressed by anything I've seen of this game, aside from the armor and weapons from Berserk. Who knows with Capcom though, I didn't think Dead Rising seemed all that impressive and it ended up being one of my favorite games this gen.

For those of us not interested in RE6 and really hesitant over Dragon's Dogma, this is more like give Dragon's Dogma a chance, get a discount courtesy of ebay.
It's not, there's no planet where requiring money to play a pre-release demo is worse than requiring money to get access to already finished game content. It's a cheap money grab, but it's not locking people out of content that could easily be on, or indeed already is on, the disc. This makes perfect sense to Microsoft and will probably be the only thing that moves significant DD units for Capcom.

It isn't a low blow though. Capcom is being nice enough to let the PS3 user base know upfront the PS3 version is shit. Would you rather have them pull a Skyrim?

lol I can only conclude 1 thing from such a stupid decision. And like already mentioned, the PS3 version either sucks fucking balls, or moneyhatting, but who moneyhats a demo.

I tried to find the totals from each region to add it up but I got lazy, but I'm 95% sure I'm right. It had the edge in america for 360 but I believe everywhere else (especially japan where it sold over 300K) it did better on PS3.
Skyrim doesn't have co-op? What's the point?
Dragon Age doesn't have co-op? What's the point?
