How can I help?
I <3 you

Might be a silly question but I don't think I've heard it until now. Do these controllers have rumble? Specifically the 360 one?

Edit: just saw your post in the MLG controller gaming side thread. That's GREAT news! Thanks

I hate quitters in arena because they die first or something stupid, 2 v 4 is not fun on sword base especially when the 4 player team start pissing about and taking their time, don't want to quit and get a penalty :/

Reposting this so hopefully someone can shed some light on me.

Imagine I put an scenary object on my map, say these heavy box. I also fill the box with "capture plate" pieces to avoid gauss hogs shots coming through them.

All the "capture plate" pieces are merged inside the box without any visible part of them coming through.

Q: Will "capture plate" pieces be rendered by the engine even when you can't really see them or will they remain unrendered like if they were behind a wall?

I'm glad I have a one-stop shop for all Halo news here. You guys are ridiculously good at finding the stories. With industry guys to confirm/deny/cock-tease us to boot.

That's what I did with the barricades on my map, there aren't just enough boxes to cover the issue.
Let me see if I understand you correctly: you're using merged capture plates to block the Gauss cannon from firing through walls? From my dealings with Reach's Forge, object quantity is a big contributor to framerate issues, along with it's relative density (how close the objects are to one another). It doesn't seem to matter that much whether the objects are hidden from view, but honestly I don't know whether capture plates fall into the same category of the building block pieces of Forge. Is budget an issue? Do the large shield doors prevent the Gauss from firing through walls?

edit: Homeboyd, that avatar is frakking awesome.

I'm not trying to block forge world walls but these little crates, that's why I'm using capture plates.

I can place around 45 capture plares, around 4-6 capture plates by crate. Still not sure if it'll suffer from lag even when you can't really see them :/

Anyone here still play halo 3? I just helped my friend two days ago get his 50 in doubles. He was a brig 2 and had the account since 2008. He was pretty happy lol.

Ah, I get it. I've seen a map that had a wall built from capture plates and it had some pretty bad framerate problems, but the map was almost down to $0 in budget.

Me too:

-Half the team camping the BFG with concussion rifle and tossing nades lile crazy.
-People camping the top of the Spire with the FRG and jetpacking away from your sight.
-Banshee extreme barrow rolling... I just discovered thanks to that match that you can aim your Banshee bomb much further and with even more precision after gaining momentum with your flips. This means you can basically Banshee bomb-snipe.

Flag nees to be moved away from the base.
hahahha
