This one shoots hearts?

I forget sometimes, but there was this one game where I could use money or whatever currency the game had as a form of attack. I want to say it was bugfrags from battle network but that doesn't set off a ding-ding noise in my head...

Did you see one of Pit's sprite animations? The super embarrassed one?
Did you see Pit being eaten?
Did you see Dark Pit?
Did you see the 3 sacred treasures?
Did you see the new bosses?

Guys... we are cowboys.
This game is going to rock

Kid Icarus Uprising |OT| Over Two Decades later, he's back.

Not very funny or clever, but goddamn it's hard not to be excited.

Finally, I think it was a good think that this game was delayed from March 2011, to July 2011 and finally to March 2012. It seems to have a huge content. It would have been such a waste i it was a launch title. Glad to see Sakurai made things right for Pit's return.

I just hope the solo game is long enough. More than 7 or 8 hours would be fine. More than 12 would be so gooood. Less than 6 would be a bit dissapointing. I know, it's supposed to have a high replay value but... I really hope.

Wow, so much action and content in that trailer. Glad Sakurai decided to become a part of Nintendo again.

Get Inside Her!
I hate that I am going to force myself through Kid Icarus (3D Classic) and Myths and Monsters (GB VC) before I let myself crack the actual Uprising package. I've tried the original so many times and never even passed the first level. It's a shame that I'll be doing the 3D Classic instead of a VC version since I won't be able to exploit the hell out of savestates, but I MUST PLAY THEM. At least I'll be able to cheap my way through Myths and Monsters that way.

I know! I've got about 3/4 of the way through the first level over two dozen times and fall off those tiny blocks toward the end because I have fat fingers that can't control themselves. If there were save states it wouldn't be a problem at all.

Can't wait for this game though (still haven't seen newest trailer) - will see how it plays then decide if I need the CPP.

What I actually did in the VC kid Icarus is that I kept killing the snake monsters over and over (through suspend play of course) until I gathered enough score and hearts to level up at the end of the level.
I kept doing that throughout the game until pit became strong enough to breeze throughout the rest of the levels.

Of Myths and Monsters is a significantly better game. They remove the misery of falling off the screen and dying, as well as offering the ability to tap the A button to flutter downward slowly.

Additionally, the levels have a much better design, and I feel the game is more fun.

I hope Sakurai gives them a lot of input on developing the Wii U, his knack for features could make that system. He's one of the few who implement achievement systems with actual meaning.

Yeah, Kirby Air Ride was the first game that made me aware of such a feature if not the first.

People nowadays are too jaded...including myself. But man, every single trailer up to this point slowly made me cautiously excited, to the point where I could say "we have a solid game here on our hands". That scene with the vehichles made me want this even more.

Part of me still qualms after the debacle that was The Subspace Emissary. Part of me wants...no, expects this game to be the killer app for the 3DS, and not just "because it's Smash Bros./from the creator of Smash Bros.", or "a resurrected dead Nintendo IP", or worse, "we may not have Mega Man Legends 3 but at least we have THIS". And of course I don't think my hopes for the latter will ever be addressed, which is why I'm reserving my final judgement until I actually play it.

I want to be blown away. But I don't want to fall into the GAF pitfall of hyping it too much that t won't live to expectations. So I'm coming in with an open mind to see what this game offers, and not approach it as just "S&P with Smash Bros. in it".

One thing that has amazed me about this game from the very beginning is the sheer scale of it. It looks to me like there's so much content that I'm going to be enjoying for such a very long time. Something that I've never really been given by a game like this before, the amount of content is crazy! In a way it's very smash brothers in the fact there's so much stuff that it's hard to play it all :p

Super excited for this game... have been all along..

I see it as one of the first true new ips for nintendo for a while..
(yes i know the character has been around from 2 decades ago but come on.. you know what i mean :p)

I can't believe people were/are actually sleeping on this game.
I've been following this closely since it was announced, but even I only started to get super hyped when the Sakurai/multiplayer video was released. I am definitely most excited about this game's gameplay and systems more so than its visuals, and visuals were the only thing we had to get excited for prior to that video's release.

I regret the one second in my life where I doubted this game last summer.

I think, the difference for a lot of us in this case is that we didn't get hyped because of GAF, or expectations due to the franchise or anything like that. In fact, I was pretty skeptical up until a couple months ago, and was not even planning on getting the game at launch until the Nintendo Direct presentation recently.

Everyone's hype for KI:U seems to be surprisingly grounded, and yet still sky-high because it's legitimately looking to be an amazing game. I just hope it gets the same appreciation from the majority of the Sakurai fanbase and everyone else who hasn't been closely following it over the last few weeks.

Amount of content is crazy. It seems like there is so much stuff in the game you can't get spoilered by watching those trailers.

Have we seen any video yet of 1 on 1 multiplayer combat? I can image how it works from understanding the game's basic controls, but I sort of wonder how interesting it will be in practice. Multiplayer seems to be much more focus on group combat vs. 1 on 1.

I'm sort of fascinated by the thought of 1 on 1 melee combat with this control scheme.
