I'm getting tired of this arc, even if it parodies RPGs. The kids just aren't great characters. The next episode had better end this.

I like the Prince's underling, and I like the teacher, though.

Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou 1

Since Nichijou ended, I've been missing this sort of comedy. It's pretty solid. The punchlines are treated well.

Can't wait to see more of literature girl.

Keep trucking. The worst is soon to pass.

I really gotta watch nichibros. Literature girl is so hnnng its ridiculous.

Its kind of funny a anime about high school boys has the most likeable female characters.

Level E

I'll defend the rangers arc as my favorite. The payoff is hilarious but they could have cut an episode and instead done the missing chapter. My only complaint.

That whole puzzle was intense, and I was seriously wondering how it was going to turn out. It wasn't until he
shattered the armband (which genuinely took me by surprise) and started making those seemingly pointless moves
that I realized what he was doing by
making it so there'd be at least one spot where the pillars wouldn't be able to crush whoever was left.
I seriously don't know where the story's going to go from here, but I'm glad I'm watching.

Also,
return of Anna
FINAL-FUCKING-LY!

The show is great, and she'd be worth it even without the rest of the show! XD

Duuuuuuuuuuuddddeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

This show is awesome. I didn't expect that at all.

Also, I need to join that society. Best basis for function ever.

The Light of El Cantare
I still need to watch the final arc of Level-E. The senshi parody episodes really tested my enjoyment of the show.

From the look of things, I actually ended up putting my entire Winter 2011 season on hold when the final two episodes of Madoka were delayed, hah. Apparently I need to finish up Yumekui Merry too, though I heard that it has a terrible troll end. Still worth completing?

I Kaito transcended the Orpheus armband and can go into that mode whenever now without the bands assistance, will be cool to see what happens in the next two episodes, and Rook complete breakdown

I'm glad the
Admiral is dead.
I feel bad for the position he was in, but he was being a total dick. Also Uribatake is cool as hell and
forever alone ;_;

That part was depressing to watch.

Hakugei: Legend of the Moby Dick 15

Moby Dick looks kind of mad.

The main plot points are coming together now that Ahab and company have arrived on Moad to hunt Moby Dick.
The is crew assisting Moad's resistance movement who are trying to prevent themselves from being kicked off their planet. Moby Dick fits into all this as it is the "weapon" that will be used to destroy the planet in 9 months.
There are some other subplots involved as well such as the android Dew and his past as well as his connection to Moby Dick. There is also the mysterious villain Murato who seems to know Ahab. The show mixes humor and seriousness quite well. At times it features the bros being bros, and at times it touches on some deeper themes within the story.

Definitely a neat show thus far.

Gintama 1-2

Yeah... That was a terrible first impression.
Stick with it, the first few episodes are rather average at best but once they get past that stuff it gets much much better.

Does crunchyroll at least have Dennou Coil?
I wish they did. :(

Don't even think about it. The ending was fucking awful.

Yeah, cool stuff going on. The show really started out rather subpar, but I'm glad I stuck with it and am relatively hyped for season 2, especially if we'll have more intense puzzles like this.

Kid Icarus Medusa revenge short

First 3d anime I've ever seen. Was pretty impressed. Liked the froggy face Pit. Some of the shots of Medusa were surprisingly risque for nintendo curated channel.

RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII HNNNNGGHH

Now that that's out of the way, holy shit. The things this episode touches upon, themes it delves into, and subject matter and it's ethics are crazy to see it here. The way it was all presented was just awesome and I can't even believe that something like this came out so long ago.
Child training camps, test-tube babies, Princess, her false parents, my tears ;_;, Ruri's tears, all of it so good.

I wish they still made anime like this.

Every episode I was like, "Well, there's the bakabaka, but I don't get why Cajun hyped her up so much."

And then I got to this episode, and I was dead wrong. 100% dead wrong.

I wasn't prepared for this at all. I don't think anyone could've been prepared.

Those kindergarteners were the best. I was a bit disappointed it wasn't just Artemis narrating Minako's day like I thought it'd be but it was great nonetheless.

Sailor Moon R 53

An and Eiru keep going younger and younger. Aside from the issue of not having a story,
I don't see why they didn't pick a more low key way to harness energy given it's evidently a renewable resource.

Sailor Moon R 54

Luna and Artemis were so cute together in this episode. She seems to have lightened up a bit since he's mr. serious.

Sailor Moon R 55

So Minako, Mako, and Rei level up with episodes devoted to them and Ami upgrades as an afterthought in the baby episode. I take it to mean even the folk running the show find her boring! Eiru being mistaken for the Moonlight Knight was a pretty good concept for an episode too.
An and Eiru are pretty great when they're not hamming it up as aliens.

Sailor Moon R 56

Umino should be costume director on every play. The play itself was amazing.

Sailor Moon R 57

When Cardians attack. Aside from
the rogue Cardian
, episode was about as expected.
Guessing An and Eiru's time is drawing to a close here.

Sailor Moon R 58

I wish I had a Sailor Moon special with the same aesthetic as that stage show. An and Eiru are spending a lot of time in disguise too.
Just going to interpet this as them becoming more human the longer they stick around on Earth
And what's up with Usagi's hair in the last third? I thought it was a sunset palette for her and Luna at first then Mamoru walks up looking normal.

Sailor Moon R 59

mudamudamudamuda. An is really unlikeable after this ep, even moreso than normal
until the end. Fuck everything :( Figured the Moonlight Knight was what he said he was. I'm glad An and Eiru got a good ending.
This show has a way of making the antagonists just as interesting as the protagonists to me.

Sailor Moon R 60

Hooray for new villians but that's a fucked up way to start a new arc.

Sailor Moon R 61

So after all these years I finally get why she's called Chibi-Usa. I was aware of the name, always thought it sounded weird, but no, it makes sense. I think I used to read it as Chibi-U.S.A. way back when and wondered why that was even a name.

Luna's facial expressions this ep make for a wonderful barometer of whatever is transpiring. Scene with the falling rose petals was almost too dramatic for this show. I need a desk to flip.

Sailor Moon R 62

At long last some Ami focus. It's nice that she was the one to introduce the new round of transformations and attacks after being robbed during the doom tree stuff.

Sailor Moon R 63

Rei's grandfather is such a boss at times. Wrestling motif for the monster was pretty damn cool too and actually made more sense than Boxy of which I am still irritated.

Sailor Moon R 64

While it was neat to get a better idea about Chibi-Usa's secrets, I couldn't help but think how underwhelming the villains are so far. The Dark Kingdom generals were amazing and even An and Eiru had their moments. Hopefully it comes around but currently it's just some annoying folk scheming.

Did you guys watch Nurarihyon Season 2?

Hagoromo-Gitsune is seriously boss. Best villain in shounen history right there.

Consensus seems to be Deen ruined it, but I'll gladly watch it if I'm told otherwise.

Edit: Ah, just saw your post in the manga thread. Hmmmm......

I read the manga and its fine so far, heck you can actually see everything clearly here. Mangaka style while impressive, is way too inky and crowded.

Edit: it might get worse later on so don't kill me then lol.

This is anime.

I don't get it, and I definitely cannot comprehend it, but they somehow manage to make awesome headway on character development, plot development, and flesh out the character and universe all while raising interesting questions, delivering classy fanservice, exploding my heart, RUUUURRIIIIIIIIIIII HNNGGHHHH, and having an idol contest all in one episode.

I don't even know. This is just awesome.

Persona 4 23

Meat dimension conquered!

Man, I was really getting worried there with
Nanako still being dead during scenes that she shouldn't be. I guess them going out of order was to throw the game fans off.
Would've been pretty ballsy if they actually stuck with it even if that would require a few changes.

Though this does kind of make
Nanko's revival a bit more morbid were this reality. I mean she's been dead for nearly a day! She would basically be a vegetable.

Also, this episode pretty much cements Brosuke's role as the deutragonist. As if the battle with Kubo's shadow didn't already confirm this.

They're just trying to give the shippers something to hold onto. Yu x Yosuke Bromance OTP of the century AMIRITE?!

Its a true gem of an anime series and one of my favorites in my collection.
From that incredible op, you could just tell you were about to witness greatness.

Persona 4 23

I'm not sure how I feel about this one. I don't remember Yu
trying to put Namatame in the TV
in the game, and I didn't like it. When he was staring completely stonefaced and motionless in the hospital room, I thought he was shutting everything out so that he could hyper-focus on the case, leading to the realization that things didn't add up. What actually happened felt really awkward and unnecessary.

That bromantic moment was too good, though.

This episode made me miss Yosuke and Namatame's English VAs. I loved the bite in
Shadow Namatame's
English dub.
